I try to judge my reviews by the premise of whether or not I would ever return to a location. This restaurant has landed itself on my "never again unless it is the ONLY choice" list. and even then, with much reluctance. Weve been to other OPHs and had great food and great service. Both of those, here, were so substandard, that even "poor" service would be considered amazing. The few good things: The wait was short, the restaurant was clean, the bacon and OJ are very good. The area where we were seated was FREEZING cold. We waited a LONG time before the waiter came by. (We ordered drinks and food together) The waiter showed ZERO sense of urgency. He causally sauntered around the entire time we were there. When the drinks arrived, he got the drinks mixed up, a small thing I usually overlook but is a sign of his ongoing indifference. The husband ordered bacon eggs and pancakes. I ordered a chicken panini. The food eventually appeared, after QUITE a wait. Well, my husbands did. The waiter casually mentioned that "the sandwich is coming in just a second" with no apologies. He then meandered about, chatted with other guests for a bit. Finally went to go check on my food. He brought it out, and you could tell the plate had been sitting for a very long time. The sandwich was cold and not even pressed like a Panini normally is. The chicken was hot originally, the cheese had melted onto it, but had congealed and hardened The potato fries were hot, but what good is that? Also, the husbands pancakes were very distasteful, we each had about two bites, and abandoned them. We finished our meal, and sat around waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting for the waiter to bring the check. I could see the waiter in the service area, chatting with other staff, and wiping down counters. Other tables in our section were also waiting to have their card run for payment. He collected their card and ran it and brought it back before dropping our check off rather than dropping ours off on the original lap. Once he dropped off the check, he disappeared again for a long time. We gave up and paid cash. Like I said, never. Again.

We usually eat at the Original Pancake House twice a week. Suzi, the manager, is delightful and helpful. Our regular server Chris is the absolute best and for the most part the food is very good. Heres what needs fixing - This is a pancake house, it shouldnt take over 20 minutes to get pancakes or any other order. The menu isnt that extensive. Eggs, pancakes, pancakes, eggs. My wife likes the shells they came out gummy. My bacon and eggs were fine but the pancakes were cold. This is not a one time occurrence. We usually sit in a booth in the back, closest to the kitchen where the noise can be deafening. There seems to be a constant turnover of kitchen staff. To me, the art of running a restaurant is consistency to make that happen you need a happy chef - only there is never the same hand at the griddle. Its time senior mgmt gave Suzi a hand and made sure her hard work is rewarded by making sure the kitchen staff is happy and glad to come to work. She has to take the gaff because the product isnt consistent. You will be rewarded 10X over in increased business and happy customers and staff.

hello everyone.. i dont know what about you all, the service in this place is kind of slow , but , that is ok, i always go to this place because my mother ( 67 y/o woman ) love the strawberry pancakes.. hehe what happened today in the morning.. ( feb/09/2014) was : my mom got to this place , she was alone and she is diabetic, got into this place and ask for place and told a person ( the woman , who sits the people ) if she can help her because and sit her little bit sooner cause her sugar level was getting drop... there were a couple of waitress who tried to help her , but this woman said no , no no and noo... and even get the attention to one of the waitress just because she tried to help my mother... i think in this kind of situations.. no body will care to let a old lady go in front or any body any age when is facing this kind of scary situation ... ( lowing the sugar level.. ) well , just wanted to share this with you and please pleople from Original Pancake House , be more consider with other people.... thanks everyone for taking the time in reading this...

The Food is Great. Service delayed to sit us. Literally stood still for 10 mins. When a server arrived we were asked "Do you want to see the Manager?" Weird communication. Then we were led to a table without napkins or utensils. The Server "CoraLee," is a rude and insufficient employee. Moving way too fast and forgot to bring normal condiments like "Ketch up and Butter and Jam." When I asked why are you going so fast? All her response was "I wanted to serve you hot food." On the other hand I literally saw her do the following: - she walked to the table only looking at me and didnt say anything. "ACKWARD" - I SAW HER do three circles. Real 360 circles. I had to get my own Coffee and own cups for it. Just a shocking dinning experince.

Si quieres botar el dinero a la basura y pasar un mal rato o ser mal atendido pase a desayunar ahí. La peor atención q se puede tener en aventura. La comida pésima con mal sabor o descompuesta en mi vida vuelvo a ese lugar. Doy una estrella porque es lo mínimo si por mi fuera ni una le daría. Que mala experiencia.

DENNYS HAVE BETTER BUTTERMILK PANCAKE , personal the coffee its horrible they only have light coffee taste like water with milk. Service its 3 of 5 starts . If you want to have new experiences with original pancake house its my recommendations dont go. I preferred dennys, or I hop. If you want to make better pancake house business have medium and dark coffee. Update: I went back to fix review but manager dont honor the gift card I really dont care about money I care about how wonderful they want to look saying show to the manager and tell you have gift card, manager its not training for Google review and she deny the offer .... Her name is sue

Arrived at 11am with a party of 6 (2 adults and 4 children). We were told "15-20 minute wait". After 35 minutes the hostess was calling large parties who had arrived after us. When we inquired, we found that our name had been crossed off the list. The hostess became argumentative with us and told us we were wrong when we complained. During the 35 minute wait, multiple people complained that they had been skipped on the list. They are very sloppy and careless about calling parties in the order they check in and based on size, and when called on it they blame the customer and argue.

I used to love this place went there almost every weekend. Stopped going for a while cant remember why so I decided to give it another try BIG MISTAKE! Hash browns were raw and salty. Then I could not find the server in order to let her know. There was a hair on my dads toast and there was no way it was his because he is bald. Service was slow but I saw the server yapping away at the back line she did not even apologize for the things that went wrong . BAD customer service. BAD food . Really miss the old pancake house.
