This place is so good! They have few different settings. If u rather be any quieter setting with a one-on-one experience the restaurant has big room for sushi dining along with a sushi bar. If you are looking for more exciting fun they didnt have a room call The Hibachi room where you can sit at a table with friends and family even complete strangers and they have a cook that takes your order and he literally cook the food right in front of you and they make it super fun and very delicious. Theres even a nice beer and wine sake bar right when you can dance if you want to just have a seat and drink you can order some food right there too if you want. Prices arent too expensive. Ive always had a good experience there and the food always tasted amazing.

Well-priced with great food, sometimes with a little variation on what you might normally be expecting. I like how they make an effort to spruce up the presentation and occasionally show off knife skills(on the plate) with some entrees. If youre going in super hungry, but not looking for a show, you can even order the hibachi plate from the normal table. Perhaps the only thing lacking compared to a few other Japanese hotspots is a consistent sense of liveliness. It can be pretty quiet over on the bar/table side compared to say I Love Sushi or Shogun. Will probably improve with time as the community grows around this relatively new restaurant.

The staff in the restaurant are very attentive and quick to bring your food out. The sushi is fresh and reasonably priced. The hibachi can be a little bit pricey, but its worth it. You can score a great deal with their lunch specials ($8 for two sushi rolls, $9.95 for three). My favorite dish here is the shrimp shu mai appetizer - I could eat their shu mai everyday. Easily one of my favorite food spots in Santa Cruz. Its great for takeout and delivery, too.

Currently my top choice for sushi in Santa Cruz. They have lots of good rolls for under $10, always fresh fish, and Kirin Draft on tap! Their lunch special (everyday but Sunday) is wonderful! $12 for three standard rolls, which includes rolls like Tempura Shrimp, Spicy Scallops, and Salmon Skin. Our favorite Rolls are Green Unagi Roll and Christmas Roll (which has both Hamachi and Salmon).

Service was horrible. Had to ask for my salad twice then had to ask for my dinner two different times. My party all had their dinner almost done before I even got my food. Never again, as this has been the third time going and all three horrible !

This place is fantastic! I went with my wife on our 8 year anniversary. We had hibachi and sushi with tasty beers. The chef was charismatic and entertaining to say the least. We had a fantastic experience. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Great fun getting zucchini tossed in your mouth. Food is good, large enough portions to fill you up. Good variety of food options to have cooked up on the big ol grill right in front of you. Chef is fun and knows how to put on a show.

They cook the good in front of you and the chefs are very talented they cook and cut your food almost perfectly. When i went, I had home with 10 other people and the chefs has made it a very satisfying and enjoyable meal.

Great place for a quick bite to eat in the afternoon or later at night for more of a show with the chefs flipping, dicing, frying and cooking at you take. I would recommend the sushi lunch great value and tastes great!

Was fairly new my last year at ucsc, but loved it. Not pricey at ALL and then they have the bar where they make food in front of you and very fun and good. Staff is super nice and very nice atmosphere. recommend 10/10.

The chefs are very interesting to watch when they cook the food. However the actual taste of the food is a bit bland. I got the chicken hibachi dinner and the chicken was not seasoned at all.

This is an amazing restrant especially if you like sushi and fish. If you order something that is some thing that is made on the grill you get to be mesmorized by the tricks the chefs do!

Nobody at front desk for 15 minutes, then they saying even if we have reservation for birthday we cant seat at our table for 1 hr, because no cook available, manager works as waitress

The sushi was terrible and they sat us at the Hibachi grill when we specifically asked to be at the sushi bar. Maybe their Hibachi is good but dont go for the sushi.
