The place felt like I walk off the dusty Mexico road to get away from the sun to have a nice cerveza.... the lady was quite nice and all ways had a smile .... I have to tell you this the food was riped from the street of Mexico ... there no doubt it.. I been to many Mexican Taqueria in mexico... and this one is no different. ... but its in Modesto California. .. you dont have all the fancy limes... avocado... chunky salsa... grilled onions.... in the burrito... basic meat... beans...rice...and cover in the choice of red or green sauce.... I did half & half so I can try both... the green was kind of citrusy... is the Old Faithful red taste like chili sauce... the wet burrito was Bueno... and the fan off to my side was delightful.... I would say of you never been to Mexico to have a meal.... if you come here .... you couldnt say that anymore .... it was well done ...

So my wife and I decided to try this place. It was clean and a pleasant environment. All of the staff was VERY friendly. Although after we were served our drinks it was apparent that our server had gone on break and forgotten us. We had to ask another server to place an order for our meal. The food was really good and it came out pretty quick - and cooked to order. The layout of the restaurant is a bit odd and it doesnt leave much walk way room, but I think the good food and staff members up for space arrangements. On a comical note, it did seem like most of the male staff was hired from a local gym - most of the male staff was visually moderately physically in shape. We will likely return.

What For
Foods ok a bit pricey. Molcajete is $24 and although they say its spicy it really isnt. Comes with rice, beans and a bit of guacamole, pico de gallo and sour cream with choice of tortillas. They offer a ghost sauce for an additional charge of $2 which the claim to be there hottest sauce. But again hit with disappointment. All in all food tasted to be on the sweet side as far as the sauces are concern. Servers never came by and ask if you need a refill. I had to flag them down but if you notice that seems to be the trend in all restaurants. So sad really☹ especially since they have no problem charging you high prices.

La Parrilla in the past would be a hands down perfect score however over time the extremely good friendly service they had started a trend of negativity that puts a dark cloud on what would be a bright sun shinning day. The cloud of lessened customer service aggressively grows, hopefully it wont fully consume this great restaurant, this great bar and great food

I found the food very flavorful. It was not a little bland or too spicy. The Chile Relleno was perfect. The portion was 8.5 out of 10. Happy hour for beer. Chips with bean dip and also salsa. A genuine restaurant!!! It was more dinner than I usually eat.

Terrible food, you can get a better meal at Chipotle! Over priced, the worst chip and salsa I have ever had. Wish I could give a -5 Stars, that would be a good rating for this place. If you want a better mexican meal, go to Taco Bell!

No complaint on the food, its great. The service is always terrible though. I made reservations a week in advance and on the day they couldnt find it, made excuses and ended up giving our table to someone who just walked in after us.

The Thursday lunch special, Enchiladas Caseras, was (at best) ok. The toppings seemed to be used to mask the blandness of the enchiladas. It was a pretty dish to look at when it arrived at our table, but beyond that, blah.
