Finally a real Authentic Italian restaurant in Redondo Beach! I live in Palos Verdes and I have been waiting forever to find some good Italian food in South Bay. My wife and I stumbled upon this cute restaurant while comimg back from a walk by the beach a few weeks ago, we stopped by being a little nosey to see what was it about and we met the young couple that owns the place, they speak good english but it was clear that they are fresh from Italy. We finally had dinner there last Friday and it was a very pleasant experience: we tried the fried calamari and the burrata appetizers that were both light and tasty and then we had a seafood pasta called Porto Venere and a braised short rib with Barolo wine, the pasta was really light and delicious, the Braised rib rich and so good that it was woth to lick the plate ;-) We are definitely going back!

As an Italian person living abroad , i am really picky for everything that concern Italian food... i have been living in The South bay for many years now, and i have to recognize that this young couple from Rome, really nailed everything! Food at Bottega Romana is authentic Italian, i had the gnocchi and they were to die for!! Like my mom used to make them! They melt in your mouth! And again i am really picky! The owners are adorable and make you feel like if you are home! Grazie Giulia , Valerio e il grande Chef Pierpaolo! Buona fortuna!!

Wow what a fabulous experience we had here today.Our brother-in-law and his wife who dine here every Sunday brought us along for dinner. Valerio and Giulia who are the owners greeted us all very warmly.I realized quite quickly why the guys love it here.Excellent service,delicious pasta dishes and I tried my first ever Italian IPA....and it was pretty good.We enjoyed our time here tremendously.If I could score this classy restaurant 6 stars then I would.

The food was great and the service was fantastic. Everyone was friendly and we had a great conversation with the owner. Waiter had good wine recommendations and the tiramisu was the best I have had stateside. Just as good as at a cafe in Rome I had a wonderful time at a couple years ago.

Weve had some great meals, great service and good times at BR but the last two times have been pretty mediocre. Service has become lax, food went from great to just okay... jaded vibe overall for an establishment of this level and dues paid. Not going back after years of dining there.

We made reservations here and requested an indoor table. We were told of course, no problem. When we got there the owner rudely told us we had to eat outside where it was windy and cold. We walked across the street to the Bottle Inn and had a Wald erfüllt meal.
