The short version? Solid pasta, good prices, but long waits, and they might seat people in preferred, rather than priority, order. I came with my sis and cousin several months back, while still in one of my Italian food craving phases. After waiting close to an hour in the cold, and having had another party who showed up after us, without reservations, seated first they seemed to know the owner, we finally got our table and ordered their Pasta New Orleans, Jumbo Ravioli, and Atomic Pasta. Normally Id review each individual dish, but given that they were all somewhat similar cream-based dishes, that seems a little unnecessary. And, okay, fine, you got me, I dont really remember the little particulars anymore. But! Great flavor all around, with my favorites being the ravioli and atomic pasta, and the New Orleans coming in close afterwards. And while Ive never been a huge fan of al dente pasta, thats more a personal preference than a mark against them. That said, the two pastas we ordered were thicker, so the al dente texture was definitely much more noticeable than say, with linguine or spaghetti. Would I come back? Maybe, if I had a better sense of when the waits arent so awful. No food is worth that long a wait, especially not when Im on vacation! ***Accessibility Info*** Venue - A mid-sized venue, but a very cramped one, at that. Tables and seats are arranged fairly close together, and given that the place seems to be packed most of the time, getting to your table requires a bit of finesse and a lot of pardons. Bathroom - Didnt try them, so no comment.

Seems like a nice family-friendly spot. They have $10 daily lunch specials and nice combination specials (pasta and soup/salad). We walked in and were promptly offered a table and bread/butter. We were there when they were having a photography take some pictures of their dishes so we were looking at what to get. My friend and I spotted a large dish of Atomic Pasta with chicken breast that looked pretty awesome. We decided to share it (and we didnt even finish it--it was THAT big). The pasta itself is homemade and rather sticks together a bit. It was like thick fettucine with an al dente bite to it. The sauce strongly tasted of bell peppers and spices but very little salt. I think this place is pretty health-conscious because the chicken was not salted at all. Overall, the dish looked better than it tasted but once you put some salt and parmesan cheese over it, it was redeemed. I will come back to try more dishes. Also, parking is a bit difficult since they have limited spots in their back parking lot but there are some meter spots across the street, by the Blue Bus station.

This has been a huge favorite of mine for over 20 years. The food is great and attentive and caring staff, the wonderful wines offered at a very fair price along with the most excellent and an amazing homemade desserts help to make this a favorite for so many of us who have lived in the area and I shared it with our other loved ones. They are happy to accommodate as much as possible, have wonderful vegetarian, gluten-free and other accommodations and one of my favorites is the Monday through Friday lunch specials offered. He got your choice of a salad which is amazing on top of whatever delicious meal you would like. By the way, remember to ask Broncos special of the day is Monday through Friday as youre given two other choices besides whatever else is offered. You will not be disappointed and, oh, how could I forget to recommend their calamari? It is absolutely fantastic and I miss the all you can eat calamari Saturday please to have. Wish they would bring that back!

From the time of entering you feel welcomed! My friend and I had the pleasure of being served by Erica! She was absolutely amazing! She knew the menu like the back of her palm and stood patiently assisting us with all of our questions. You can tell she is very genuine and simply has great customer skills which I admire and recognize when I see it! You dont get it often, unfortunately! We need more people like her! But food was amazing! They start you off with a fresh basket of bread, then I had the Atomic Pasta and the Fried Ricotta Basil Pillows! I forgot what my friend had but all of it was scrumptious! The flavor was absolutely delicious and left us wanting more but we couldnt eat any thing else, except our free "first time visitors" desert! That was the cherry on top! Not to mention the GREAT prices! Very reasonable and affordable. They have my business any and every time I go to Santa Monica! Thank you Fritto Misto Family!

My friends and I were looking for a place for some dinner before catching a cat circus (!) at the Santa Monica Playhouse and found this place online. We found out about their insanely low $2 corkage fee so we had time to prepare and brought our own bottles of wine. Its a really cute place, and very popular (no doubt due to their generous corkage policy, lol). Wed made reservations, thank goodness, and were able to be seated right away. I had their mushroom ravioli in a cream sauce that was quite delicious. The pasta was red and green so the rose-colored cream sauce on top wasnt the most aesthetically pleasing, and the dish looked hastily assembled, so no bonus points for presentation, but it was very tasty. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their meal as well and the service was good. Overall, a solid choice for casual reasonable Italian in the area.

I have traveled all over Italy with an Italian family from Bologna, Italy, and believe it or not, you can get bad food there also, just like here in the U.S..... I just moved here from the East Coast and the people in this restaurant have been great and the 2 different dishes Ive had were delicioso! I have only been in L.A. for a couple of weeks and eaten here twice, and I am actually going to try eveything on the menu in time of course because the food is great. Perfect sized portions; not too "heavy" with the sauces; try it yourself, and its not expensive. Im not rich or have a lot of money so price is important as well as taste. Thanks, -paul

I really want to know the fact. Are those food from Italian cuisine? I cant believe taste of foods. It was really weird taste when I ate atomic pasta. Chicken was too tough and noodle like just flour. I really like to try new food and especially enjoy eating Italian foods because those foods are really delicious. I tried to find why this food was awful...my tongue had some problem, chef did mistakes, it was not Italian food, or I dont know real Italian food...... Even though I didnt feel delicious, sever was so kind and restaurant was so warm interior. When I have been Little Italy in NYC and Boston, those foods were perfect!!! ~.~

We went to this place as recommended by our friends after visiting Santa Monica Pier. Didnt have to queue probably cos the place was about to close. But it was still packed. The portions were huge and most of the customers had to pack their leftover food. Therefore we only ordered the black and white shrimp pasta and the fried ravioli to share. That was more than enough for the 2 of us. The pasta was great with the creamy garlic sauce. It was al dente and smooth and came which A LOT of shrimps! The fried ravioli tastes great with the dipping sauce and cheese stuffing. Would definitely visit this place again :)
