Excellent food and service. I am a foodie from city of Nawabs, Lucknow, India. If you have ever been to the city or nearby cities, then you will agree that our gourmet palate is spoiled by the Laziz (delicious and spicy food) from Tundey Kabab, Shekhawat, Nizam’s Kathi Kabab, and other renowned chefs. I can say without an iota of doubt that the Indian food at Gandhi restaurant is one of the best in U.S. During our four day trip of Disney, we mostly ordered vegetarian food from Gandhi. Each time their preparation was out of the world. If you don’t count Sitram Diwan Chand of Paharganj, Delhi, then their Chana Bhatura is the best I ever had. We ordered dinner from there three or four times and every time it was above expectation. They also packed disposable plates and cutlery for our to-go order. They provide three options to choose the spice level in food - light, medium or hot to suit everyone’s tongue. Food at Gandhi was truly soul satisfying and a perfect way to end the day after Disney World. I cannot say whether I am more excited to go back to Disney or to dine again at Gandhi Restaurant.

We are from India and we were simply ashamed to see the utterly despicable level of service offered by this restaurant. It is operations like this one that give Indian restaurants a bad name in the US. Heres why: a) When we entered the restaurant, the manager kept us waiting for 20 minutes although the there were several free tables b) Once seated, we kept waiting for basic cutlery and napkins. Finally, we had to "request" one of the staff members to pay us some kind attention. All the while we were sitting directly under the gaze of the manager. It almost seemed like he was making a point to make us feel unwelcome. b) The lunch buffet was a disaster - bad taste, shortage of naans, etc. c) We saw a senior Indian gentleman walk out of the restaurant after waiting for more than 30 minutes to get some service. He did make a point to tell the manager in no uncertain terms how much the service sucked. Overally, we came out of the place getting a distinct feeling that this "Indian" restaurant doesnt want Indian customers.

We went to this place twice during a recent trip. The food was good and reasonably priced. However, the restaurant owner runs a nice scam by charging everyone 18% service charge. This is mentioned on the menu in very very small print. We missed it when we saw the menu. On our bill we saw an item "SC", and initially thought it was a tax. However, we then saw the sales tax row, and realized that this was not a tax. Moreover, when the credit card receipt was typed up, the entire amount was listed as the total, with another line for "tip" left empty. We caught this and refused to pay 18% as tip disguised as a service charge, and then again pay more money as the real tip. In fact, the first time we were there (the day before) we had unwittingly tipped twice...for a restaurant named after one of the most truthful people I know of, this is a very sneaky scam to run. The bald guy (?owner/manager) was very unhappy that we caught onto this scam. He would not even look me in the eye while changing the bill.

$8.95 lunch buffet. PROS: Low price. The naan came out nice and hot and delicious. The food was a little better than average, but not fantastic. CONS: Not a lot of selection (maybe 4 different chicken curries, a few vegetarian selections, tandori chicken, rice, etc). The food was not steaming hot, just barely warm. The raw vegetables (cucumbers, tomatoes, iceberg lettuce, onions) were not fresh but were wimpy and the lettuce was even starting to brown a little bit. There was only one server working at lunchtime (though I must admit the only other people there were a couple and one small family) and he did not check on us or clear our plates right away... it seemed like he had better things to do than serve us, yet he would just stand at the corner of the room and stare out the window. I might have listed a lot of things under the CONS, but I did not exaggerate anything. I would return only if I was in the area, really hungry, and feeling like Indian food (all 3 at the same time).

Ordered take out for 2 Shahi Paneer, and 10 Naan. Upon pick up, we were only given 1 bag which we took our hotel. We discovered that we were only given the Shahi Paneer (gravy) and no Naan. I had to make a second trip to the restaurant to get the Naan. After opening both packages we found that the Naan was of incredibly poor quality, especially for the price, was not cooked in a Clay oven, tasted like homemade roti. The Shahi Paneer was very thin and the onions were not grinded into the gravy. They were sliced in very thick slices, it did not taste right at all. I would heavily recommend against going to this restaurant, do not settle for convenience, there are plenty of Indian restaurants with much better food in the area, albeit not as close to Disneyland.

Our daughter used to love their butter chicken. We were regular two years ago before we moved from OC. Now, ownership has changed, uncooked food, raw gravy, too spicy. The stiff muscly guy at counter with no expression doesnt even care for your opinion. This place is totally for one time visitors who visit Disneyland and dont intend to eat again. We ordered baigan(eggplant) bharta, it was made of peas and onion with light traces of eggplant. Our kids didnt eat kadhai paneer, they complained paneer was too hard. Of you ever had apple bees tomato soup you will understand the gravy taste Im talking here. Its a shame how Indian cheats another Indian using Gandhi name. Disgusting!!! The earlier staff were friendly.

We went there on Jan 2nd, 2015 around 2:30pm. Buffet closes at 3, so we were the only customers. Despite us being late and only customers for buffet, the food was still fresh and tender. The number of items in the buffet was about average for this kind if place. I have seen more items at some other Indian buffets, but the taste more than made up for it. It was on milder side on spicy level, but it was very tasty and I like it that way. If you are looking for food that makes you sweat, you might be disappointed. But if you are looking for generally tasty Indian food that you can overeat without feeling uneasy, this is the place for you.

Highly disappointed! Highly disappointed! Highly disappointed! I had taken paneer sag and chicken curry for parcel , both were bad. In fact chicken was not cooked and no test they just mixed chicken piece in some ready masala. Sag paneer was also in bad state. Worst part was, when i called them again to give feedback and i did not ask to refund the money, they started that "you eat the food and now you are trying to refund the money also. There is no point me to go and return the food after driving for 10 miles. I had called them to give feedback and nothing else and even i did not ask to refund my 15% tips.

One of the worst restaurants I have ever been to with absolutely pathetic customer service. For a simple order, they made us wait for more than a hour. And we asked the manager, his response was "you are not the only one waiting for your food!!!". I would have cancel the order so as to give a resounding slap on his face for stupidity & immature customer service;but for the kids in the family who were very hungry. Never ever ever go to this restaurant, even if you damn hungry!
