We have had dinners here before in years past but this time our dining experience was above perfect. The service was outstanding. The food superlative. I enjoyed two of the daily specials, the crab stuffed canneloni and the oso buco (lamb shanks). My husband chose the steak with the house salad. All of our dishes were perfect. My husband picked out an 2009 Arrowood Cabernet Sauvignon to complement the entrees, but it went well with everything even the desserts of spumoni and tiramisu. We werent sure if the quality of service and food would meet our expectations from years long past, but after 30 yrs in the business, the dining experience was equal to if not better than ever. Thanks Depot Restaurant for a beautiful and memorable evening!

Gia, the catering manager, and the staff at Depot Hotel Restaurant made our sons rehearsal dinner memorable! I cannot say enough about the setting, the food, and the service they provided our attendees. During the planning stages, Gia was so helpful and prompt with answers for any questions we had. We ended up choosing four appetizers and a choice of three entrees. All were incredibly delicious, and the pricing was straightforward with NO surprises! The staff was so attentive....everyone in attendance LOVED the evening. The entire process from the initial meeting to the actual event was incredibly easy. The Depot Hotel Restaurant will now be our Sonoma go to restaurant when we are in town. Thank you, Gia, for an incredible evening!

Ive traveled all over Italy and must say that the moment my daughter and I walked in to the Depot we felt like we had come upon a local spot in a small Tuscan village that was welcoming and happy to be pleasing folks with their food and wine. Our waiter was the best, I wish I had gotten his name so I could thank him here, discussing wines and trading mine out for a richer, darker wine when he brought my amazing pizza to the table (no charge) - which the chef, BTW, had cooked up to my specs: I couldnt decide between two offerings on the menu so he made a pizza for me with toppings from them both. What a lovely place and a magnificent evening.

Best lunch menu in Sonoma. My friend and I had both had a generous portion shrimp salad.Also ask for gluten free salad dressing Ive been eating lunch and dinner at many restaurants in Sonoma over years and find The Depot has always served the best lunches and dinners.We plan to return next month for family birthday party reunion. I recommend the Depot for lunch and dinner. It is the best in Sonoma. Also a delightful waiter served us made it a pleasure to be there.

Over the years, I have been to two lovely weddings and several dinners at the Depot Hotel, plus one seafood cooking class - where we got to eat the delicious results. The high quality of the cuisine is always consistent, with top notch preparation of authentic Italian specialties and sauces. Just recently tried the pizzas, and [on a good recommendation] the chicken, which was amazing. Their New Years eve dinner in 2014 was the best holiday meal out Ive ever had.

Just when you thought "Italian restaurants are a dime a dozen". NOT! This place cares about three things with every order: Is the dish the best it can be, what wine are you going to have with it, and is the customer happy? The chef thinks if you cant afford a good bottle of wine with your dinner, youve only had a half a meal, so he keeps the prices reasonable for both. Always excellent food combined with a very feisty but attentive staff.

I had my wedding here last night, and the entire process from booking the venue to the end of the wedding was perfect. The food was incredible, the staff amazing, the venue gorgeous, Gia was an incredible help and took a huge amount of stress off of me, I felt like a princess, and the day was perfect. I would highly recommend this venue, words cant describe how lovely the day was.

Depot Park Farmers Market... hadnt been there in years. Awesome local produce, cheeses, honey and live music. Bought a piece of quiche that was absolutely delicious!
