I was really excited to go here after reading some reviews online. However when we got there the host ignored my girlfriend and i for ten minutes while he did odd bits of busywork around the place. when he finally came and spoke to us, he told us wed have to wait even though there were three open tables and no other people waiting to be seated (nor do the accept reservations). After waiting outside for another ten minutes one of the waiters said we could take one of the open tables. the food was okay. we paid $10.50 for an appetizer which consisted of 4 thin piece of mozzarella. the pasta was meh. and again, the service overall, pretty lousy. oh, and good luck finding parking. it doesnt exist.

Radicchios cafe in old city is my favorite restaurant. Their tomatoe sauce is the best Ive had outside my moms kitchen or Aunt Lucys basement... The wait staff are very friendly and make you feel at home. Youll always wait on a weekend night, but its worth it. The Primizie salad, which has a light, crisp, tangy dressing and plenty of dark greens is delish with no guilt... My standard is spaghetti, but their gnocchi is the best Ive had - light, not sticky, perfectly sized... They do a take out business too...Ive had their bronzino and dover sole several times and its perfect. Expect well sauted veggies, they dont spare the butter.

Went to Radicchio Cafe last night with my girlfriend. Small, intimate, and quite authentic restaurant. I had the veal fillet and she had a chicken dish--both were amazing! Finished off with the tiramisu and some coffee, fantastic as well! Only downside is that they do not accept reservations, and there really is no waiting area; although we were told it was going to be a 35min wait (on a Friday night), we only waited 10 minutes before being seated. We will definitely be back to this place. Absolutely loved it! Oh, and dont forget to BYOB :)

I cook everything at home since I was A teen. Very impressed with owner personal interest in parking my car. Is a problem but worth the trouble. The resturant is cozy, waiter and staff very attentive courteous friendly conversation with us. Felt at home. I believe its a byob. I wasnt drinking cause I was driving. Have to chk on that. Didnt have desert we were going WHYY for that. Food was HOT for a change and delicious. Im taking my husband soon. My friend and I are also going back. Hope this helps

Amazing food!! I ordered the lobster ravioli special. Three huge lobster ravioli, shrimp and scallops in a delicious tomato cream sauce.....one of the best meals Ive ever had!! In addition, the staff was very accommodating to the large group (17 people) that I was dining with and brought our food out in a very timely manner. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dinner out in Philly!

Great food! Great Service! Great Atmosphere! My cab took forever to come get my friend and i, we didnt get in the cab until 9:35 and being a waitress my self coming in 10 mins before they close is frowned upon. So i called and they were so nice about it. We got there and ordered as quickly as possible and they food and service was excellent. I absolutely recommend going here!

One of the best most reasonably priced Italian places to eat in Philly. They have some great pasta dishes as well as grilled calamari and sometimes octopus. It is a small place and they dont take reservations so you definitely want to get there early. In the summer they have outside seating. The staff are friendly and helpful, which isnt always an Italian restaurant trait...

The best restaurant in Old City. Their menu is always interesting and Ive never had a bad entree here. The service is outstanding. The restaurant does not take reservations so it can be a challenge to get in, especially on weekends. Through the warmer weather there are outdoor tables along the lightly traveled Wood St. Definitely a winner!

The food is Excellent and service staff brief, efficient & direct....Not a place to chat with the server. Nice Urban feel. Atmosphere is cozy and a little on the loud Side ,so be prepared. I might give it more than four stars, however parking is sometimes a challenge as well as that they do not accept reservations. BYO

Only those who know authentic Italian food will love Radicchio. Its the only establishment where the food is comparable to the food in Italy. PS I believe they have chicken Parmesan, probably just to please those that dont step out of their American comfort zone. But if you do... You wont be disappointed.

Caratteristico locale, molto caldo e accogliente. Cibo squisito e leggero. Il vino lo porti tu, non lo servono.

Our fave in Philadelphia for Italian or anything else. The octopus and calamari are world class. The whole fish cooked and filleted is as good as it gets....the pasta like youre in Rome....in short....heaven on North 4th street.

Excellent Italian food, quick service and worth the walk away from the crowded tourist locations. Top tip: bring your own bottle of wine. The restaurant doesnt serve alcohol but offers a wine cooler if you bring you own.

Nice wait staff and clean facilities but...very slow and poor service, extremely loud, congested seating and mediocre food at best. I have eaten Italian frozen meals better than this place. Avoid this local tourist trap!

a gem of a neighborhood place. go early or you will be out of luck getting seated. creative menu and well priced. the tables are "tight" and the portions could be a bit larger but they are really yummy!

The service was the BEST. A selection of appetizers that were all good, but not outstanding. The sausage was burnt and the broccoli raab had no flavor. The grilled octopus was worth coming back for.

AMAZING food, good value too. They dont take reservations, so it is better to go in smaller groups or not at the usual times. One of my favorite byos.

A top choice for Italian BYO in the city. Their rose sauce is heavenly, but everything is pretty darn good.

Classic Italian food prepared simply and traditionally. Service is very "Italian." Tiramisu is spot on.
