The margaritas were average. Outdoor seating seemed like a draw. But the service was by far the worst Ive ever had. I wish you could give negative stars. Just say no to Viva Zapata. After waiting an hour for a table, my group decided to stick to the bar and order appetizers. The hostess who had held us up in the first place stormed up where we were sitting and openly cursed at us because we werent going to be having dinner after all. Since most of my friends and family have been waitstaff, I am always friendly and try to be understanding if someone is having a bad night. When I found out that our waitress was a co-owner, I decided they dont need my business. There are plenty of really nice people and places to go in Westport, so dont waste your time here.

We met there on a Wednesday night because the kids activities brought us closer to Westport than our hometown of Wilton. We love Mexican food. This was so mediocre and they seasoned basics like refried beans and black beans with some sour spice so my kids couldnt enjoy it. Neither did I. The fajitas fell flat. Overall a real bummer. We wont be back. It has a great atmosphere and the service was good. Just a real disappointment with the food.

Extremely disappointing experience on cinco de mayo. There was no one at the front of the restaurant to greet customers as we walked in, and when we located an employee he was exceedingly rude, literally yelling at us. The other waiters we interacted with were disrespectful, sarcastic and rude. They also literally threw party favors at my friends (thanks a lot!). When they demanded to know if we were ready to order, we left. Two thumbs down.

I can not say enough about Viva Zapata and how much I love their Mexican Food. I go there at least once a week and EVERYTHING on the menu is to die for. By far the best Mexican in CT. Everything on the menu is delicious, the salsa is to die for and they have the best Margaritas on the planet. I highly recommend this restaurant and go in the summer you will love the outdoor patio!

I really like coming here. The food is always good. Drinks can be hit or miss. Overpouring tends to happen, the margheritas are extremely sweet and sugary. Not really flavorful. Staff is always friendly, if you are there during some of their busier hours things may take a while though. Will continue to visit.

Visited this place with my family. Didnt like it at all. The service was very poor and we had to wait for some time for the menus even it was not a lot of customers. The meals were overpriced tasteless and the environment is not family oriented.

When visiting my hometown I always stop into Vivas for their Nochos Grande. I can assure you they are as awsome as ever...This place is a Wesport landmark that you should not miss. Vivas was voted best margaritas in Fairfeild County...nuff said~

We were looking for somewhere to stop to eat heading north out of Las Vegas and were lucky enough to find Viva Zapatas. The food was amazing, great service and an amazing selection of toquilla. We definitely go back when in the area.

Have spent many of happy hours at Vivas. Their margaritas are always par for the course (on the rocks, no salt). Food here is solid as well. Cant really go wrong with any of their Mexican classics.
