WHAT To Expect: "Casual gourmet dining", modern American cuisine, with one of the friendliest white table-cloth service weve experienced in the greater-DC/Annapolis area. Set in a wonderfully renovated/decorated vintage house along St Michaels high street. Noise level was quiet/romantic; and we were the only below-50s couple in the room (which really added to the dining experience!) WHY You Should Go: because The Two Ss -- Seafood and Service! This was the 2nd time wed been here. The ownership changed sometime between 2010 and 2014, but the service and the food certainly did not suffer in the least. The seafood freshness and preparation/display are some of the finest experienced on the eastern shore of MD. We had, and recommend, the following dishes: fried (and, ever-so-lightly fried, nicely done!) calamari; seafood chowder; Redfish with a perfect flavour-combo of baked grits souffle w/ spinach; Wasabi tuna (excellently prepared and seasoned). For dessert, we HIGHLY recommend the heavenly Nutella-laced Bread Pudding!! GREAT value for money compared to equivalent metro-DC restos. WHEN You Should Go: Year-round, to enjoy the quaintness, beauty, and hospitality of MDs eastern shore, and particularly this gem of St Michaels.

I swear Im not being hyperbolic when I say that this is the best restaurant Ive ever been to. Its not cheap, but it isnt stupid expensive either. Its the only time I can remember having an expensive dinner and not feeling at least slightly ripped off when the $100+ check arrived. We had the saffron seafood risotto and the seared tuna over crab fried rice special. The risotto dish was literally the best thing Ive ever eaten, and the tuna dish was easily the best thing Ive eaten at a restaurant this year (other than the risotto). And the bread pudding dessert was unreal too, and I dont even like bread pudding. Ill shut up now. But WOW!

I went to 208 for the first time tonight. It is now my GO TO place. I was just looking for a quite place to grab a drink and get some bar food. This place far surpassed the bar food. The tempora veggies, the korean wings, the mushroom pizza! Sooo amazing! The pizza is more of a flatbread than a pizza, but thankfully, I prefer flat bread over pizza. The mushrooms add so much great flavor to the pizza. Even if you dont like mushrooms, I still suggest the mushrooms for flavor. In addition, it has craft cocktails! I suggest this place for anyone on the eastern shore. It is worth the drive.

Chef David is an absolute master. Ingredients are top quality and fresh, preparation is inventive without going over the top, and the service is without par. The staff is very knowledgable about wine and are always happy to recommend a great pairing with the food. Take advantage. My wife and I eat out quite a bit and always look forward to a return visit to 208 Talbot.

I was the only person in this place who wasnt white! They sat me in the back by the kitchen where it was noisy & I couldnt enjoy the atmosphere. Service is RUDE as hell & discriminating! Im SO hurt & disappointed they ruined my birthday! I would NOT recommend coming here to anyone, especially to out of towners/ vacationers. U can find better food & service at MCDONALDS!!!

We were staying next door at The Parsonage Inn; it was raining. Lets just go next door. Great decision! The Filet, cooked medium, was the best Ive tasted in years. My wife has a shell fish allergy and she requested a meal, that usually has shrimp; they accompanied her request. Her meal was equally impressive. The total was a little pricey but worth it!

One of the best meals of my life. Fabulous and knowledgeable service. We got there early (around 5:30) and stayed for about 3 hours. Fantastic cocktails and wine, great appetizers (sashimi tuna and Cesar salad), exquisite entrees (rockfish and risotto), and wonderful desserts (flourless chocolate cake). A must for anyone visiting St. Michaels.

Just enjoy a dinner celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary at this wonderful establishment. Indescribably great meal, wonderful staff, great atmosphere... Surely a repeat engagement that must be had in the near future. On the Eastern Shore, this is a must have experience. Our thanks to all the staff for a great evening. Edison

Nice place. Very skilled wait staff. Everything you expect from St. Michaels restaurants. The food was creative, but not weird. The wine was recommend by the server and very good. Not a place I would bring my kids. Great restaurant.

they now have a bar area with different items and no tablecloths. Nice beer selections, good bar food. the regular table service is good too, but I prefer the bar area - less stuffy, cheaper, more fun.

Enjoyed the Mojitos and the food! Would definitely come back. The blackened salmon with cheese grits was very good! We also had peach bread pudding with candles for our 25th anniversary - awesome!
