I was in London in 2008 and came back w/ a goal to find authentic, GOOD Indian food because Indian food in London was by far the BEST outside of India. Of my ventures, I was able to find Manohars Delhi Palace, which comes very close to my experience in London. This place may be tucked away in a desolate strip mall plaza but once you step inside, its like being transported into another world. The decor is VERY nice - you just cannot tell through the dark windows. The ambiance is very cozy and the food is EVEN BETTER. Parking is plentiful. Magno lassi, butter chicken, lamb curry, garlic naan...pretty much everything is great. During the weekends, they have an amazing lunch / dinner buffet, which is great. However, the lamb selections are a la carte only. I miss and love this place!

My entire family loves Manohars Delhi Palace! Anything less than five stars for this place is from a competitor or person with no experience in fine Indian dining. I have traveled the world and country and have found myself sorely disappointed trying to find an equivalent level of delicous tandoori chicken or lamb dishes. You can try but you will be hard pressed to find a place that serves the quality you will find here. You may find a nicer venue in La Jolla or D.C. but you will not have the same experience. Yes, its located in a not so nice neighborhood, but, it is safe to dine. Indian families come from San Diego to Beverly Hills. My family has enjoyed 20 years+ of excellent food and a decent selection of Indian beers.

One of the best Indian restaurants in Southern California. Located in a dingy strip mall in La Puente, judging from the outside, youd never think this place had any potential. The menu isnt huge and is light on description but service was good and they explained what ingredients were in the dishes. Must have the butter chicken when youre there; its heart stopping but its definitely a main attraction. Also had the Roasted Eggplant and the Garlic Naan. Dinner can be a little pricey but they have a lunch buffet for $10 that is worth it.

first of all the place is in very gato area .When we enter the waiters were very busy .we order the appetizers came after half an hour & the person looks like manager forgot our order to pass in kitchen because he was busy talking to his buddy .Very poor customer service because once he got us glass of wine he never came back to ask if we want any more.We got our main course like after 45 minutes .The indian drinks were like water in a yogurt. If u r in hurry or very hungry never visit this place.

I went here with a couple of friends for their lunch buffet. The lunch buffet goes until 2:30pm and costs $15.50 per person. Their butter chicken was delicious and the service was great. Best of all, they dont accept tips. Thats my kind of restaurant! I left my jacket in the restaurant and was about to drive off and out comes the waiter running after us with my jacket. If they allowed tips, I would have gave him a big one for that.

You wouldnt know it from the outside but this is some of the best Indian food in Los Angeles. The restaurant actually does a lot of outside catering and is probably the best known Indian caterer in Southern California (Ive had his food at events from San Diego to Fresno). Pretty much everything is done right here. If you are looking for an authentic Indian meal without buying a plane ticket to India this is the place to go to.

Two words. Butter Chicken. The butter chicken here is easily the best Indian dish ever. Ive been coming here for years. The other dishes here are very good, but the butter chicken is what brings me back time and time again. You wouldnt expect such good tasty food from this place looking at it from the outside, but definitely dont pass this place up.

Been coming here for years. There food and service is top noth. Food taste great. Gotta try the buffet 7 days a week 11:30-2pm. The place looks very secluded but dont be thrown off. They are very welcoming. The first time i came here the gentleman showed me what each food was and his recommendations

Around 2000 years back during holiday I ordered chicken biryani and when I went to pickup I was told they could not make it as they had other larger orders to do. It is very rude of these indians but not surprised at all. Called and complained but they did not give damn.

The food was great! My parents came to visit from India and were disappointed with the Indian food in USA. But this place exceeded expectations, amazing food! Only reason it does not get 5 stars is because the tables were not properly cleaned when we came.

Very quiet as promised, food was delightful. They accidentally gave us the wrong order.. However, they apologized and still brought out our original order even though we half way finished the first course haha excellent staff. Found a good place close to home

Really good, authentic, family style Indian food. Spacious inside, and usually no waiting. Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, Palaak Paneer are the go-to dishes, with Garlic Naan and rice you cant go wrong. Highly recommend it for no-nonsense good Indian food!

The food is always delicious! The garlic naan is a must! The butter chicken is amazing. Its awesome because its not really a restraunt youd expect to find in La Puente. The people are also always super friendly. Its always a pleasant visit.

Their buffet is really good. Something different compared to the same dishes in other restaurants. If you have friends that arent big fans of indian food, they have "misc" dishes like chicken nuggets...lol. I love the salad too.

Good tasting food. They can adjust the spiciness for you. Good portion on the curries but they could use more meat. The lunch buffet is not that good as the selection is very limited. The good curries are on a la carte.

Nice Indian restaurant with room for improvement. Nice decor but personally prefer no carpets. Carpet tend to stink around food areas after a while if not clean. Food was good. Champagne brunch is a nice twist.

Delicious indian buffet! Tasty options include palek paneer, goat curry, butter chicken, and tandoori chicken, as well as fresh fruit. They also keep the fresh naan bread coming out!
