Now Im not one to bash any business, because no one is perfect, but this place has gone downhill over the last 7+ years since I moved to Conway. The catfish isnt bad, but for the price, you can get better, if you dont mind driving to another town. They are awfully proud of their food, considering how little you get and how mediocre the taste. This place used to be amazing, and you would get so much food for a great price. Now, you have to spend 20-25+ a plate to get anything. For instance, menu says 1 chicken breast slice, fries and a small bowl of off tasting/looking corn for $7.70 (before tax and no drink), but you get a tiny tender looking piece of chicken that you could eat in 2-3 bites. I had to take a picture of it. I guess they slice a chicken breast into 4 pieces and sell them as "chicken breast slices"? It looked like a small tender to me. Might as well go to Market Place Grill for that price. The host wasnt very personable and they also forgot the gravy on my mashed potatoes. So its not only McDonalds who gets your order wrong. I didnt complain and ate it as it was. I was just a bit disappointed in how things have gotten in this place. I took my in laws out to eat here because I wanted them to have a great meal at a good price, and got neither. I know things change and times are tough, but it would be nice to have a place to go that you can count on for good food and not worry about price spikes AND food quality dropping. 1 or the other is understandable, but both is just disappointing. I contemplated not even leaving a tip, which my wife always argues that I leave too much, but went ahead and left one because its not the waitresses fault. Unless the older lady waitress was the owner, in which case they just got another $5 out of me..... All in all, if you dont want to leave Conway, its your best choice for the CATFISH Thats about it.

This place used to be much better and MUCH cheaper. I went there yesterday craving fish but when I saw that the 3 piece plate was almost $18 I decided to just get the Gumbo. It was okay, but it was kind of bland. The hush-puppies they brought me were cold. I had water to drink. So a small bowl of warmed up gumbo and a few crackers set me back almost $9.00. This place is way too expensive for what it is. As others have stated, it is absolutely the best Catfish you will get in the Conway area and they know it. So they charge a premium for it. But lets face it. Its fried catfish. Fried catfish is pretty hard to mess up. For the prices they charge you could eat at Mikes Place and get real seafood in a much better atmosphere. For $18 you can get FRESH, never frozen Grouper, or Mahi Mahi at most fine restaurants. Catfish does not compare to Ocean fish and should not be priced like it. If you are craving Fried catfish in Conway, I recommend Dixie Cafe. The fish is good and you get two sides. And it is much cheaper. $5.00 cheaper for the same amount of fish . I will end by saying the service at The Fish House is always good and the staff is very friendly. My only problem with this place are the outrageous prices they charge for the Fried Catfish.

Probably the best place for catfish in Conway and they know it. Most items on the menu are not worth mentioning. The catfish is why you come but it is also expensive but if thats what you want your hands are tied in this city. The good news is that it IS delicious and free hush puppies to boot. Occasionally they have the 2 piece, 2 side on special for $7 but I cant say thats enough for me so I only go with family. The stand out here is actually: gumbo. If it is on special, do yourself a favor and order it without shrimp. With shrimp you only get 4 that are cooked separate and placed on top as an afterthought. The gumbo is fine in its own right and made closer to my grandmothers holiday recipe like I have never had anywhere else and at only $4.99, my ideal meal.

I try to eat at the Fish House twice a month. They serve US Raised catfish (not questionable Chinese catfish.) I used to be burned out on catfish, because it always tasted "muddy" to me, but I decided to try the fish house a few months ago, and rediscovered good catfish. The fish is always light and mouth-watering, hand breaded and fried to perfection. They have given me more fish than I ordered several times before, at no extra charge. I do have a small complaint, though. The frogs legs I ordered last time had great flavor and juice, but were quite small. Where I come from, 2 sets of frog legs is a meal in itself. Other than that, the food and service is great, and I think they are still offering lunch specials. Try the catfish steaks.

Never would have known about this place, but it came highly recommended from a friend. Love seafood, so we were eager to try it out. I feel like at one point in this places history it was a fantastic place to eat. That time as long passed. Decor looks untouched since the 80s, flies everywhere (not a lot can be done about that) and everything was sticky. I guess giving most items are fried, there is about 30 years of fry grease covering everything. Waitress was nice enough, but shared way too much personal drama with us... kind of made us uncomfortable. Food was... just food. Not terrible, not great. Not wanting to be so mean, but I think this place would be a great candidate for the show restaurant impossible.

Picked up an order through drive thru. Paid for 3 piece catfish 14.95 and only got 2 piece and no tarter sauce that i asked for. When i called and talked to the manager she only offered to give me an extra piece of fish the next time I came in with no apology for the mistake. Fish is good but expensive and manager has no customer service skills

Great service and atmosphere. Lots of well prepared and cooked food for a more than fair price. Complimentary soft serve ice cream with hot fudge. Charismatic and capable waitresses. A very solid restaurant all around.

We have found our new favorite catfish restaurant in Conway. The fish is hot and fresh, the sides are homemade, and the service was excellent. Good kids menu options too.

This place is much too expensive considering the amount of food given. Fish was okay, but defiantly not the best in town.

Great hush puppies! Consistently good sides and fish that tastes like it was fried in fresh oil.
