I came to bollo for the first time yesterday with my neighbor that couldnt stop raving about bollo and their wood fired pizzas. We started with the homemade lobster ravioli from fabios which has a white truffle butter sauce on top that is MOUTH WATERING to think about. The raviolis were perfectly cooked, 2 come per order. We also decided to get the black truffle burrata which was fresh and had a cream like texture inside the cheese ball which paired so well with the balsamic reduction they give you along with fresh basil, tomatoes, and bread. I was confused on the pizza list because they have two sides. Rosse meaning marinara sauce base and Bianco meaning olive oil base. Our server Ashlynn was very helpful and patient explaining the differences and gave us suggestions based on the ones shes had from both sides, she suggested the salsicia and the 44 farms and they were PERFECTLY cooked. Light airy crust with fresh toppings. Our server also mentioned that the beef they used for the 44 farms is wagu beef from a houston farm which I think is pretty cool rather than ordering from corporate companies. We will definitely be back to try their pasta dishes as a main course next time and to see our server that made it a delight dining experience.

Great ambiance--modern feel, clean, and trendy. Heard about this place from a friend and came in around 9pm last night. They had happy hour (4-7p) and reverse happy hour (9pm to close). They had $5 frozen margaritas, bellinis, and other cocktails. For $19, you get a Neopolitan-style (thin) pizza plus a pitcher of beer or bottle of wine (Chardonnay or Cabernet). However, the deal only applies in the bar area and the waiter told us we could only have the bianco de bollo pizza (white based sauce with tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, and spicy Italian sausage. After we ordered, the manager came up to us and gave us a complementary appetizer, Burrata. Guys. That cheese thing was amazing. Basically it was 4 crostini, balsamic reduction, tomatoes, basil, and that magnificent mozzarella/cream mixture. Simple yet delicious. Great way to start off a meal. The pizza that came out was pretty good as well. Overall, I would come back again. The food was good and the staff were friendly.

This place is awful and mostly because of the service. The food is very average, and is overpriced. The mozzarella appetizer was excellent, the meatballs and spaghetti were not good. The dish had no flavor at all, the calamari is something you could get at Kona Grill. The pizza was okay but youre better off going to Dolce Vita. This place does have a cake cutting fee of $15 (no one in the restaurant informed of this fee and we didnt expect one because its not an upscale restaurant). The way they deliver checks is inefficient and overbearing. They do it electronically on an IPAD, but they will not leave the IPAD with you so you can tip in privacy. Instead they will hover over you, wait for you to finish, take the IPAD from you and then give it to the next person. The process took about 20 minutes for 5 people. If you do try this place out, I definitely recommend trying the mozzarella appetizer and stick to one of the pizzas.

I came here with two other friends for the $20 bottle of wine & a pizza happy hour special which Bollo advertises loud and proud on their website. The host asked if wed like to sit at the bar or outside, both of which the happy hour special could apply (you cannot get the deal sitting inside the regular restaurant). He also mentioned that he assumed we were there for the happy hour, which at first I thought was funny but later mildly offensive. We sat outside and received waters within 5 minutes but sat for a total of about 12 minutes without being helped at all. We got up, told the host we were leaving and went somewhere else. I felt ranked as less valuable customer for wanting to partake in the happy hour special.

This week stopped by the Alabama location with boyfriend, The bartender was purely negative, not courteous or accommodating, to me and my guest. So we got up to leave than ended up talking to hostess she was kind and got us a table immediately. The waiter was kind and were able to take order, than we found out the bartender was a manager. Oy Vey hes a manager!!! The pizza was okay the pasta was alright, we just got water because we didnt want that guy to touch our drinks. Sad the bartender was so snobby and rude. I can go to other pizza places right down the road where my guest and I dont feel judged or treated poorly. If that guy is management I feel bad for the workers.

Ive already visited this place twice and enjoyed myself both times. On my recent visit, my boyfriend and I started out with a salad and lobster ravioli. they were both excellent. we ordered the margherita pizza and it came out fast. it seems like they use premium ingredients for their pizzas. the atmosphere is really nice and service is prompt and friendly. make sure to not leave without ordering gelato! they have like 4 flavors and we ordered mango. we ate at the bar, and lindsey was very helpful. we will definitely be back on our next date night! i think its one of the best pizzas ive had in houston!

The oven, made in Italy by a family specializing in pizza ovens is beautiful. I was told that when it arrived, it cleared the front door by inches. If you look at it just right, it does look like Pac-Man. The pizza is very good. A crust with achewy center with a crispy outer edge. Very good ingredients. I look forward to trying other items on the menu in the near future. A high point is the dessert gelati. Three scoops of very flavorful gelato served in an attractive serving dish. I can see myself just popping in, seated in the bar area, for dessert here.

You walk in and say to yourself, "great location, friendly host staff and cute decor...must be good food!" Not! Pizza was soggy -- cmon a Pizza place should at least get the pizza right -- wings were frozen in the middle and the mozzarella sticks tasted like they came the HEB freezer aisle. Very disappointing! All these great reviews must be from Houstontonians who dont know what real pizza taste like or bar patrons too liquored up to notice how bad the food is. After all, the decor is very nice.

The food tasted good, we had crispy calamari, diavola, capricciosa and a kids cheese. The atmosphere feels a little rushed for a restaurant of this kind, feels like they are trying to make you move along. Unfortunately both me and my wife had terrible heartburn later, so much so that the pain woke me up at 3 am and I had to take a couple of thumbs. I was really looking forward to a nice wood oven pizza; and dont get me wrong they tasted good, but after this experience we wont be going back.

What a wonderful spot to eat pizza, pasta, & appetizers! I have been served twice by Megan and she is super attentive, helpful and friendly! Request her as a server!! My favorite apps are the crispy mozzarella sticks and the local marinated beets. I forgot the name of the pizza I had, but it had 3 types of meat and was super delish! The Greek salad is good although I did add romaine lettuce as it did not originally contain a leafy green base. Youve gotta try this place for yourself!
