This is the best Mexican restaurant in Springfield. Ive been to others and even walked out of Mexican Villa. YUCK!!! This is a little hole in the wall place with a megaphone for a drive through. It feels like youre in Mexico with the colors from yellow, orange, red, and green. They even have an authentic leaky roof. But all in all, its a great atmosphere and makes me smile. They make their salsa from scratch each morning. I love the spicy. The cook is the owner and his staff is his family. They know us and instantly bring a pitcher of water and spicy salsa and chips when they see us. Obviously we eat there a lot. We go every Monday because its kids night and kids eat for free. My wife and split an entree, kids eat free, and after tip and tax, we spend 15$ for all of us and drinks. They are speedy and efficient and well worth 5 stars.

We love this place!! It is little so you may think it wont be good but dont underestimate it, it is a great place! My husband isnt that crazy about Mexican restaurants and even he picks here to go. His favorite is the fajitas. Ive loved everything Ive got there! The steak in burritos is tender and everything is flavorable. The owner and waitresses are enjoyable to talk to. I dont drink and they have virgin daiquiris that are so yummy too.

Best Mexican restaurant in Springfield! Great prices and a large variety of food, the salsa is fresh and the service is awesome. A cozy family owned restaurant that we normally come to, we decided to try out the Mexican villa and walked right out after the salsa was paste and the meno didnt have a chimichonga. It was way to americanized. So if you like authentic Mexican, Amigos is your place!

When we first got there a gentleman was sitting at the bar playing a guitar.. he had a pleasant voice and sounded good.. But soon a loud obnoxious family joined in and sounded horrible.. they were so loud we couldnt carry on a conversation with each other at our table across the room.. very rude of them.. The food was good and portions were huge.

Apparently Google reviewers have pretty low standards. I chose this restaurant based on its stellar 4.7 rating. It was your average Tex-Mex restaurant, nothing more. The food was hot and reasonable priced, but there is nothing there to merit the exceptionally high rating. There are better options out there if you want REALLY good Mexican food.

Amigos is by far the best Mexican restaurant in town. Great, lightning-fast service, amazing food, great prices, the whole bit. Their salsa is very fresh, they season their meat really well, food is always hot and consistent. Ive gotten a dozen or so people into this place. Once you try it, every other place around is not comparable.

This is ok for Missouri Mexican food, but, being from around Austin San Antonio for about 50 years this is really, in my humble opinion, pretty tasteless and bland. Do yourself a favor IF you want truly excellent TEX-MEX and go next door to PANCHOS. That is EXCELLENT .... everything they have is excellent.

Hands down the best Mexican food place in town. Small place, with cafeteria style seating. Food is authentic, Staff is great, and the prices are fantastic. Full bar, with beer, and great chips and salsa. Ask for their Hot salsa, I promise it wont let you down. Try the fish tacos. They are fantastic.

I moved here from Southern Calif. about 3 years ago. Authentic and Midwestern Mexican food is very different. Amigos is authentic. Portions are excellent. Service excellent. If you like spicy salsa ask for it. Amigo burrito dinner my personal favorite. Great job Amigos!!!

Great, unassuming joint. Cheap, yummy food. Taco Tuesdays are a thing. Order the large draft Modelo, its unbelievably good. Be careful, sometimes there is a really nice guy who plays guitar at you and if you are an introvert it can be hard to deal with.

How did this place get such high reviews? The rice is only okay, the beans are mediocre. The chimi didnt taste fried, and tasted like the frozen ones you get at the store. The waitress wasnt very friendly. Dont think ill be back.

This is the absolute best Mexican in Springfield! The owner is so friendly and the staff are great. The Amigos Special is delicious. Also live the fajitas, Quesadillas, flautas, and their salsa!!!!! Their salsa is THE BEST!!!!

Food was cold and not very good. The waitress was on the phone with your boyfriend or somebody the whole time we were there. I will never eat there again but the Mexican restaurant right next door to Panchos is really good.

“Great thin pizza” Place has been forever. Seems to have lost some of the flavor since it moved from mid town to C-street. Still a good pie and way worth a stop by. Great cracker thin pizza with REAL fresh ingredients!

Awesome location. One of my prized local hole in the wall restaurants you would drive right by if you were judging a book by its cover. Great food and always packed. They have dollar tacos and draft beers on tuesdays.
