I waited 35 minutes for an order of 12 wings with fries and baked beans! I do realize that this location is very small as far as seating goes! I had never felt so unwelcome at any restaurant as I did tonight! The young man working the counter and taking orders was rude and displayed absolutely no courtesy whatsoever to me or the 5-6 people that had put their to go orders in ahead of me! I didnt hear one single "How are you doing tonight" or "thank you for coming in" to anyone that walked up and paid for their order to go or that were sitting down to eat! The Menu said "Jumbo Chicken Wings" so I thought 12 would be enough for me and my wife with an order of fries and baked beans! WOW! Im not kidding the chicken wings were the smallest Ive ever seen in my life! When I got home and opened the box with the wings I couldnt believe how small they were! It was my first time to try Archibald and Woodrows! The wings had very little hot sauce and the sauce tasted more like a sweet BB-Q sauce! I hope I caught them on a bad night (Saturday) and that they serve better tasting and bigger chicken wings than what I was served! My visit was on 12/11/16.

Horrible food and nonchalance from staff. I went there Saturday and I spent $20 and wasted 25 minutes waiting on it. Ordered twelve piece fish dinner and it was horrible. I waited for what seemed like an eternity but I was fine with it because I ASSUMED that it was going to be fresh and good. Got all the way to the other side of town to find the whole meal inedible. As pissed as I was I remained calm and took it all the way back. I wasnt asked why I wanted my money back or even given an apology. The guy running the register just looked at me and gave me a refund. I work in foodservice management myself so I know how the situation should have been handled, not necessarily a free meal but act like you care and above apologize for the inconvenience you caused a customer. Im not even going to mention how my side items looked. I will not be going back at all. Good Luck in the future!

You will not find better BBQ, ever, period. Dont even mess around with a menu. Just order a pound of ribs and a dozen wings. These wings will make you drive over to Baumhowers and punch that fool in his face. Sure youre gonna get a splinter from the booth, but you wont even know because the sweet tea (Diabeetus juice) will have you catatonic. I dont know why you would even waste your money elsewhere. Bump that noise playa, come here and get some real bbq.

Woodrows and Archibald has the best wings in Tuscaloosa(my opinion). I eat here often and my food is always made fresh. The Customer service is outstanding from the back of the house to the front. The atmosphere at this restaurant is definitely warming and welcoming. This isnt McDonalds so dont expect your food to be delivered in a flash but i guarantee you your food will be fresh and served in a timely manner, they also welcome call-ins!!!!

Would give this 6 stars if available. Best ribs and sauce we had in Alabama. The Fried green tomatoes, Mac and cheese and fried okra were also delicious! The ribs had smoky flavor is every bit of the meat and were good even without the sauce. The staff were very friendly and the serivice was fast. Would recommend this as a must stop and eat for anyone traveling through Tuscaloosa.

Stopped in on the way up from New Orleans to Louisville.....and this is by far the best BBQ joint Ive ever been to and Ive been to a LOT in my time. Absolutely delicious fall off the bone ribs, pork and chicken was outta sight! All the sides were absolutely scrumptious! Fried green tomatoes best Ive had! Sauce is wonderful but why mess with the meat? Just eat as is!

This is a dive restaurant with authentic deep south bbq served in Styrofoam containers. Everything is homemade. Much of it is smoked. The food is very good, but not fancy. You will see a diverse group of patrons. Its worth the experience in my opinion, even if you dont end up loving it. Theres another location in Northport thats even more down home feeling.

Went down south in 2006 before high school for a summer trip of different states down south learning my families history. This restaurant is from my moms side of the family (Montgomerys). Im proud to be a Montgomery and related to the Archibalds. Didnt go to this one but i went to the original one same food same taste. Excellent!

A DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH!!!! I had the catfish, collard greens mann m? Mmmm n green beans this food is perfect down home country cooking my husband had the best ribs hes ever eaten the food was awesome and staff are are friendly, has a very nice vibe. We will definately be back!!!!!

Easily the best Ive ever had. Chains just dont compare. The only reason chains have higher stars on these review pages HAS to be the fact that chains have large menus. But if you want the best bbq youve ever had, this local place will stay in your mind the rest of your life.

They have the best wings Ive tasted in my life. I also love their banana pudding. The only thing I dont like is the sides come in small serving cups. I overlook that though because the food is so good. They are always very friendly to everyone as well!

The service was amazing and the wings were phenomenal! There wasnt a very long wait and the drinks stayed topped off. Awesome place to eat if you are looking for good food and great service. Also, the southern accent made the experience even better!

This is some DAMNED FINE BBQ! These people know how to please their customers and are always friendly when I come in. Do yourself a favor and try some of the finest BBQ youll ever put in yo mouth! Got to Archibalds and Woodrows!

Im sorry Alabama, but Mississippi knows bbq. Hands down. This bbq was reheated and had too much vinegar in the sauce. Very disappointed. Only gave it 2 stars because the ribs were chewable although not fresh. Last visit here.

Delicious ribs and sides. Service is hit or miss, depending on how busy they are. Youll probably want to order your food to-go... The dining area isnt nice - expect to sweat in the summer time with the lack of good AC.

Some of the best ribs and pork I have ever tasted. The food is made with love and dedication and it shows. Being from Texas, it was a little bit getting used to the sauce but honestly it wasnt needed. It was that good.

Ive traveled quite a bit, and this is by far the best BBQ Ive ever had. Ive eaten at all three locations, and the ribs and wings are always on point. Their soul food is also good, but Id stick with the BBQ.

This is my favorite BBQ joint and I eat BBQ every chance I get. Agree sauce is best around but you really dont need it cause the meat itself is so good!!! If you havent eaten Q here you havent eaten Q!!!

We were completely finished with our pork plates when our side of fries and other sides finally came. Never was asked if we needed a refill on our drinks either. But on a high note, MEAT WAS EXCELLENT!
