Pretty cool place in Tuscaloosa. Alot of great crimson tide history and cool atmosphere. Menu was extremely limited and I enjoyed it, however I do think the actual food was overrated compared to what everyone has to say about it. I think that if dreamland had a wider selection of what kind of bbq meal that you could order, with a few different sauce options I think that it would be better rather than just a the 1 and only entree choice, and the one and only house bbq mustard and vinegar based sauce. There are a handful of sides but needs more variety.

Dreamland is the best BBQ Ive ever had. I am lactose intolerant and have an intolerance of gluten, so my choices are limited. But the ribs are phenomenal and the pork potato is delicious as well, just as long as everything has that delicious sauce on it too. Only issue Ive ever had is a waitress named Natiasha in Tuscaloosa, I came in right before they closed to grab a potato and she wasnt very happy about it. I gave her a good tip but I could tell she was grumpy…poor attitude from her.

The original for classic BBQ ribs. Delicious spicy sauce with a cayenne-fueled finish. White bread is served with each order, and a top tip is to save a slice or two to sop up the remaining sauce after the ribs have been finished off. Its always a delight to return for a meal at Dreamland. My stepdaughter was visiting from CA, and I felt it was worth the drive from Birmingham to give her the full tourist experience and enjoy some killer ribs. Yatzhee! She loved it. So will you.

Some of the best ribs Ive ever had! I hadnt researched the place prior to coming by, so at first I was disappointed there was no pulled pork option (my barbecue go-to), but after trying the ribs, I realized that was misguided grief. The slaw was okay, and I liked the banana pudding, but the highlight is definitely the ribs. Well worth the short detour from the interstate if you happen to be in town.

Delicious ribs! Im not usually a fan of ribs, but their ribs were lean and cooked perfectly. Also, even though its a chain restaurant, its got a certain ambience Ive never seen anywhere else that makes this restaurant feel like a truly unique dining experience. I would definitely recommend any meat lovers try this Bar-B-Q restaurant! Vegans or vegetarians should probably take a pass though...

Horrible! I was so excited to try, but wow...Food was bad, service was worse. I should of went to McDonalds for a McRib sandwich, that probably would have been better and alot cheaper. Didnt eat any of my food after tasting the ribs, which were cold, dry and drenched in their mustard flavored so called bbq sauce. Sent food back but still had to pay. Would not recommend to my worse enemy.

Dont go here if you want a big menu selection. The first time I went was in the 1980s and you had one choice, ribs! The place was always packed out-the-door. They have other locations now but there is nothing like the original. Its not one of those hipster dives, it is the real deal and has been for the over 30 years Ive gone there. The sauce is incomparable. Nothin like em nowhere.

The original is always the best. I remember when they had "white bread and ribs" and the only decisions you had to make were what you want to drink and how many ribs you want. They have extended the menu but the atmosphere is the same and the taste never goes out of style. Perfect ribs, great sweet tea. My wife enjoys some sides, but Im a purist...just the bread and ribs for me.

Prices are good, service is good, atmosphere is unique and the ribs are fantastic! With a simple menu you have to be in the mood for either ribs or sausage and typical BBQ sides such as potato salad, beans, and cole slaw, but if that is all you want, the original location is a must. I highly recommend finishing your meal with their banana pudding for desert.

Off the main drag of U.S. Hwy 82, nestled away in the south part of town is a hole-in-the-wall place infamously called Dreamland BBQ. All you get to choose from is Ribs and side items with decent prices. Ribs come out dripping wet in warm sauce while the slices of bread are more like napkins. The meat was great, but it wasnt fall of the bone.

The absolute BEST smoked ribs I have EVER tasted in my life! They are perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of sauce! Then the banana pudding was icing on the cake! Everything was awesome! The atmosphere is the perfect sports scenario! Staff was amazing and friendly! An absolute MUST stop in when you go to or through Tuscaloosa!

This is the real deal. Their menu is limited to only a few of BBQs offerings. I believe the ribs are their "go to" entree. The place is filled with history of famous people and celebs that have visited the restaurant. I really enjoyed the ambiance and the food. It is a hole in the wall but this usually makes the best BBQ.

If you havent dropped off the Interstate to go here, youre only cheating yourself. The original location (with satellites in Huntsville in the like now), seats a lucky few. Ribs are the big draw here, but the spectrum of the menu does just fine. Sauce is great. Love this place; I have yet to have a bad experience here.

They only have ribs and/or sausage, sides. It was good but not great. The ribs had a great flavor but were a bit rubbery. The sausage tasted like store bought sausage done on the grill. The sauce is mustard based and has great flavor. The place has a great "BBQ Joint" ambiance and the server was amazing!

Go to the original Dreamland; the rest are pale reflections of the real deal. Ribs, white bread and sweet tea are the standard fare. The banana pudding is phenomenal, IMO, and I suggest a container of it to top off the meal. The $25 per is a top price, but wont be hard to hit that number. Get extra sauce.

These was some of the best ribs weve ever had. My wife and I split a dozen ribs, a link of sausage, and a couple of servings of coleslaw and potato salad. The BBQ sauce is amazing. The ribs were freshly cooked and fall-off-the-bone tender. Be sure to save room for their banana pudding. Its worth it!

Great, out of the way eatery! The ultimate in unassuming quality. Ribs are huge, sausage is juicy & flavorful, and the sauce is tart with a kick you dont see coming. Yes, even the white bread & sweet tea shouldnt be missed. Everything served is fresh & dont forget to save room for banana pudding!

Ribs are not meant to be cooked quickly over direct heat. They are meant to be smoked low and slow for several hours. As a results they are rubbery and cling to the bone. The vineger and mustard base sauce is good, as well as the coleslaw. However, the ribs themselves are horrible.

Great food in a cramped, memorabilia-filled building. Basic fare: ribs, sausage, potato salad, beans, cole slaw, banana pudding. Sauce a bit thinner and a bit spicier than most others. Dont let driving past a landfill and a youth correctional facility turn you off.
