Its a nice place . Average service and food . If you are someone who likes quantity in food then its a go to as they have huge portions of food which most of us wasted . Taste was ok . I have eaten much better Mexican food at both high end and low end restaurants . There was no one to attend to us most times . Since there are very little options around , it goes full attest on weekends I guess . Last time we were a group of 20 and waited for an hour or so despite booking on phone .

Best Mexican restaurant (like, sit down, nice restaurant) in East County. The best quality food, usually great service, great drinks, great atmosphere/design, great bartender/owner, a better menu than other regional restaurants (but with a classy edge) and a good Sunday brunch. Occasionally packed on weekend nights, but reservations can be made in advance if youre bringing a group.

We get there and the hostess says , I have a table , but you guys need to leave at 7 pm ! Because the table is reserved. And if you want to wait for a table its an hour wait to be seated. I will never go back to this restaurant again !!! The food was not good !! I order garlic shrimp, it didnt have any garlic at all !!! The food is too expensive and it doesnt have any flavor!!!

The service was good and the decor was nice but not enough lighting. The food was bland and not authentic. The kids plates looked and tasted like they came out of the freezer. It was my first and last time going there and would not recommend to friends or family.

Good Mexican food at a decent price. Large dining area means little to no wait time. Great place for happy hour with food and drink discounts. The mole was disappointing. Great go to restaurant.

Don Cucos is a community staple in Simi Valley, and it seems to be just a restaurant in Moorpark. I love their enchilada combos. Blended margaritas are also quite good.

Margueritas have a gamey taste, food is similar and bartender and manager are reluctant to help. Food servers are good, but they only have so much to work with.

On January 18, 2012 about 7pm I ordered the “Taquitos Combination Plate” and was POISONED. Ill never eat at Don Cuco Mexican Restaurant in Moorpark, CA again.
