I went to go eat with my family for a Sunday Dinner. We had a good time with each other and the atmosphere was fun though a bit on the dark side in the room. The wait staff was very nice to talk with also. My only real problems were the food itself. We went on a Sunday, which is there BBQ day where they serve BBQ only on the menu. Thats fine by all of us, but when it came to us it was a bit dry on some of the meets and a bit cold on the others. Nothing that ruined our moods, but we all figured it was because of how long the meals took to get to us (we ordered one of the really large platters that had everything on the menu so we could all share, so I figure it must have taken longer because of the size of the order). My suggestion if anybody wants to order that is to make sure you ask the wait staff how long it could take for the food to arrive so you can be prepared if something happens to it. My other issue was the way they served the salt to us. When we asked for salt on our table, the waiter gave us a small dish with the salt inside it. Points for a creative way of serving a condiment, but its kind of ruined by the idea of how many other people put their fingers into that same dish that night. Another note for anybody reading this is the parking. Vashon Downtown itself is not known for its best choices of parking, so dont feel discouraged if you have to walk a bit to get to the restaurant. There is dedicated parking in the back of the building, but that could fill up quick for dinners. Overall, Id go there again to try the rest of the menu on its menu.

I love what theyve done with the place the staff service and atmosphere was wonderful...The food we had for the price was so so...I had a fish sandwich and the fish was outstanding but the bun plain old hamburger. The Island has access to some really outstanding bakeries I think you should give a try, and the coleslaw and dressing were advertised as spicy not so much. My son had the ribeye and though he said it was outstanding the potato he was served was undercooked and the seasoning not evenly distributed. All in all a middle if the road experience I hope as time goes by they improve on certain things. Im looking forward to there Bbq Sunday which I hear is outstanding!

Im from the land of BBQ and Im usually very critical of the PNWs excuse for BBQ which is grilling not true BBQ. This is damn good food. Ribs were smoked and then put on the grill. Pulled pork seasoning was out of this world. The chicken was tender and perfectly BBQd too. The braised greens had an amazing finish. Macaroni salad was also dente with dill and tarragon was uniquely mouth watering. Corn bread was excellent. Ill be back and you should too.

One of my favorite restaurants on the Island. Their Trifecta Burger is fantastic, possibly my favorite burger Ive had, rivaling Ethan Stowells burger at Goldfinch in Seattle. You must eat at this restaurant if you are on Vashon for a nice day or evening and the place is open. Pro Tip: Sundays are BBQ days and the delicious meats keep on coming until it all runs out. Get there early if you want some!

The owners, Pepa and Dre are absolutely wonderful. They catered our wedding on Vashon and the food was a hit! They are both so easy to work with and created a unique, approachable menu that our guests absolutely loved. Extremely helpful at setting up and planning our event. Flexible and able to make quick adjustments at the last minute.

My fiancée and I go here all the time! Gravy catered our wedding and hosted the reception. Dre & Pepa have created something special. The atmosphere is fantastic and the food is even better. The cornbread is a must order. I highly recommend Gravy for dinner or even a private event.
