The only word that I can use to describe our experience is AWFUL. It takes alot to discourage my husband and I, but the food had a strange taste, almost as if food had been defrosted in the microwave and had sauce slapped all over it. The bruchetta that was served to us was inedible, the bread was hard as a rock, almost stale. We sent it back and should have left then, but we had ordered our meal. The staff was less than attentive, and believe me we are easy people to please. They managed to find us a spot on the patio, as apparently it was all booked. Funny thing was we were one of four groups on the patio with all the other tables empty and we were there at 8pm ??? It was still empty when we left. Even worse, were the slimy mushrooms in my husbands pasta, he just couldnt eat it. Mine had tons of hot spice, but that was all. We would not go back here. It is such a shame as the location could be a gold mine for the owner, if Gordon Ramsey was called in to help. With some great restaurants in the same area, these folks need to step it up if they want to compete.

My fiancee and I had been to Serafina 6 months ago and had a wonderful experience. Unfortunately, we went back last weekend and had an entirely different experience. The service was completely scattered, we had 3 different servers before we even got our meal, and when they brought the food they didnt even know who ordered which entree. The food was not nearly as good as we had remembered. After the meal, the maitred picked up our check as soon as I was putting the pen down - and told us he needed the table. He immediately started stacking new plates and silver right next to us, and then sent the waitress over to tell us they needed the table. We spent well over $150 on our meal, and had been there for one hour and 10 minutes, and on the way out there were only 4 people waiting for a table. It was the most insulting and embarassing experience I have ever had at a restaurant, and I will never go back.

My wife and I went to Serafinas last night for Valentines Day. We heard that this place is a great Italian restaurant. The nicest part of this place is the atmosphere. What a great location. The worst was the food! It was absolutely horrible. The food lacked flavor and was not fresh at all. An entrée costs about 30 bucks which we dont mind paying for good food. When we left we felt like we were let down and screwed! What a disappointment. On the way out we were able to see in the kitchen and all the food was precooked and sitting on steel racks in the kitchen...What a joke...Beware! Dont bother going unless you want to pay top dollar for reheated food with no flavor!

I wanted badly to be able to give this place five stars being the third or fourth time Ive been here but whether its under different management than eight years ago or whether my culinary and service tastes have evolved in as many years, I just dont see it being worth that rating now. The service was as previous reviews have described, lackluster and underwhelming (this coming from someone who doesnt like to be disturbed frequently while dining) and the food, while good, was not by itself worthwhile.

The food was fresh and cooked to order. The ciabatta was crusty on the outside and moist on the inside, served warm with cruets of evoo and balsamic. Our party ordered everything from rack of lamb to fresh Mediterranean sea bass baked in a salt crust in the traditional manner with head on and boned table side by our server. Home made lemon cello and huge capuccinos with ampe crema. Excellent food and wonderful atmosphere on the back deck. As close to Italia as one can get. This place is a keeper.

Great location on canal with yachts right in front of your table. We enjoyed excellent service from a lady who has been there for many years. Weve been to Serafina several times many years ago, and had found the Italian cuisine they then served to be exquisite. This visit, the food was still good but the Risotto al boscaiola was not quite what I expected based on my past experiences. Still, one of the most wonderful places in Fort Lauderdale for a romantic dinner.

I need more stars to rank how great this place is. Professional servers made the experience memorable. Cool waterside location was romantic. The food was divine. Linguine and white clam sauce was a garlicky delight. My girlfriend had the a di mare dish that was both delicious and abundant. What was the name of house merlot. I would have had more but I had to drive back to Miami. Even the bruschetta was out this world.

We made a reservation specifically asking if we can come by boat. They said, " no problem, you can dock your boat here!" After 1 hour and 20 mins of traveling, we arrive before our reservation. We called again to be sure we could pull the boat up. They then said no, that they do own the dock, and therefore cannot give us permission to dock. The receptionist was rude on top of that. Will not go there, even by car.

Food was good, service was not, never told us specials, never asked if we would like more sparking water, another glass of wine and the best was when they took our dinner away he gave us the check guess they dont have dessert there, went elsewhere to finish the night, maybe he dont know the higher the tab the higher the tip, he only worried about 2 big table not us a table of 2 wont be back.

Last night we went with friends for dinner. An Osobucco from lamb shank does not meet the Osobucco style. Osobucco is veal and never lamb. The chosen dishes where brought after 5 minutes. Fresh cooking, no way! Presentation awful and taste too. As one stated before, safe your money and eat at Olive Garden, for 40%. Best of all the view on the Intracoastal.

Quaint little place whose entrance evokes a back alley feel. But inside is nicely appointed, and the real treasure is out on the water. We sat at a table right next to multi million-dollar yachts. Wait staff was friendly, the food was served very quickly. We got bruschetta then bread before the meal came and it was tasty.

I went here for my Bday(9/18) dinner after getting the suggestion from my girlfriend. I ordered this Angus filet in a onion sauce and it was delicious, cooked perfectly, and the waiter (who I forgot his name, sorry) was very friendly and on point. The atmosphere outside is amazing at night atleast when I went.

Have been to Serafina many many times and have always had an exceptional experience! The ambiance is OUTSTANDING and the food is always some of the best in the city. The presentation is also tremendous. Count on the staff to make great wine recommendations. A dinner that you wont soon forget.

Great food and great specials. A little tight inside but huge deck. Highly recommend going on a nice night and getting the specials. The staff usually has great recommendations and are very friendly. A+ place to go with a nice ambiance.
