Weve been to Porkchop about a dozen times for dinner and have enjoyed every meal. The menu changes frequently enough to make it interesting to come back every few weeks. Many of the dishes include some uncommon and yummy pickled or smoked tidbit that delights the palate. In addition, they know how to make and serve real pasta - some of the best in Seattle. Ive eaten at just about every restaurant in Ballard multiple times and this place is one of the best. If youre looking for overpriced, mediocre food in a place so loud you cannot have a conversation, head to one of the joints on Ballard Avenue. If you want a memorable meal, give Porkchop a try. Full disclosure - Im dishing up this rave review because I love eating here and I want Porkchop to be around for many years. An added bonus is the large collection of excellent cookbooks in the dining room available for browsing while your order is being prepared.

I always have trouble picking the right spot to grab dinner with my parents because I am a vegetarian and my dad is a voracious meat eater. This place had plenty of tasty choices for both of us! The beet toasts were delicious and the fried brussel sprouts with balsamic glazed bacon (he ate the bacon, I ate the brussels) were out of this world amazing. They also have shoe string crispy fries fresh out of the frier. I had a shrub cocktail that was probably my favorite drink Ive ordered in a restaurant ever. Refreshing, not too sweet, not too sour, not too bitter... just the right amount of everything. To top it off, our server was super nice and helpful and checked in on us an appropriate number of times, always at the right moment, when we were ready to re-order. Cant wait to go back for their brunch menu!

I came here looking for a big, tasty brunch with a fluffy cappuccino. What I got was very small portions with runny eggs and oversized chunks of kale (should have been more chopped up), no espresso, only drip coffee that is self serve. The biscuit I got in addition to my meal (still left hungry!) wasnt fresh or even heated up. Theres also pretty limited vegetarian options... I think if I was a meat eater I would have at least left feeling full. The alcoholic drinks looked good, Ill give them that too. It seemed like a better place for a quick (meat) sandwich than a big breakfast. Maybe Ill try again for an afternoon/evening meal.

Ive been to Pokchop & Co. for brunch four or five times in the past year or so. I usually either get the pork belly hash or the Franks scramble, both of which are fantastic. The pork belly basically melts in your mouth, and the poached egg seems to be cooked to some sort of almost buttery gel (it seems to be sous-vide or something at a low heat for a long time). Even if you get the scramble instead of the hash Id recommend adding the pork belly to it (although I hear good things about the bacon as well). The scramble is a mix of scrambled eggs (obviously), peppers, and mushrooms, served with two slices of toast.

I enjoyed everything about this place. Talking with the owner was excellent as well. Its a good fit for Ballard. With the current interest in eating REAL food, this is sorely needed. Not only is it entirely scratch made but it has a few of my own favorites like coarse grind grits and flavorful greens. A side of real smoked ham fit nicely in the bowl. I am so in love with this place... My date found out the owner used to live next door to their family on the East Coast as children. Small world. On a dreary wet cold Seattle day, this is a perfect haunt.

I used to love this place, but the service wasnt great today... Nor was the food :( I ordered the pastrami because who doesnt like a good pastrami sammich? It came to the table on a chipped plate, served by an unhappy person, and wasnt tasty. The bread was soggy throughout and unfortunately gave the whole sandwich the consistency of paste. The meat looked good and the flavor seemed good, but the ooky texture overwhelmed everything... Hopefully theyre just having an off day. I always leave a tip afterward, but skipped that part today :(

You order your food at the counter and they bring it to you. The décor inside is very cute and Cafe like. You could totally bring a book or laptop and chill inside. Service was great, but the food was "meh". I got the Pork Belly Hash. It lacked the " hash" part since it was filled with alot of leafy greens and only 20% of the dish wash potato. The Pork Belly was either too dry or good, it wasnt very consistent. It wasnt the dish for me, but it might be someone elses!

Porkchop and Co. is my absolute favorite restaurant in Ballard! Breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks...its all amazing. I like the franks scramble for breakfast. My boyfriend and I love coming in for dinner salads in the evening. The apple melt is incredible. You really cant go wrong with whatever you order. The ambiance is very relaxed but still feels special. Its a really reliable place to get a good meal.

Delicious food in a huge airy space with contemporary chic interior. Apple melt sandwich - best grilled cheese sandwich ever, overflowing with quality cheddar, Gruyere and with an addictive side of Asian-inspired cabbage slaw... Pork chop, creamed kale and buttermilk biscuit are on point as well. Cheerful polite staff as well, this totally made our day!!!

This is one of the most original, genuine, great-tasting spots to enjoy some carnivore-tastic culinary bliss. They know what they are doing and execute dishes in the spirit of splendid breakfast art. The crew is pleasant, friendly, and jams good tunes to create to. Dont pass go, dont collect $200 - just get down there and order. You wont be sorry.

Uno de mis lugares favoritos. Además de las delicias que prepara el chef, el lugar tiene esa atmósfera que te recuerda el calor del hogar. Imperdible!!!!!

This is a pleasuredome for your tastebuds. Brunch here is insanely good. If you appreciate the craft of cooking that can be found in places like New Orleans, this is your place. The bacon is mmmmmmmmmwah nom nom nom nom. Creative southern comfort influence with fresh ingredients and dishes from scratch.

Im sure some of the other reviews are valid, but I would not recommend this place for dinner. Portions are small, there was only 2 items on the entree menu (everything else was small plates), and my meal left something to be desired. Several members of our party had very bland meals too. No thanks.

Its been my favorite place to eat in Ballard. First time came here for brunch and surprisingly it was so good and makes me want to visit again and again. Love their fried chicken with spicy sauce and kimchi as a side. Also their cauliflower sandwiches is always good option for the happy hour food.

Porkchop & Co. is a refuge in a urban jungle. Elevated comfort food is served breakfast lunch and dinner for great prices. The porkchop manifesto is posted on the entry way wall: Everything is made from scratch! They use high quality purveyors. Many Items come from the Ballard Farmers market.
