Best Italian food Ive ever had! This is my familys favorite restaurant by far in Seattle, maybe anywhere. Ive never been to Italy but Ive eaten places that are supposed to be "the real deal", none have ever been close to this place. Great service, they dont skimp you on the food or portions. My favorite is the tortellini aurora. Its a small intimate setting that keeps their food simple yet decedent. Ive tried many things on the menu, all were delicious. Great dessert tray that they can show you at the end of your meal. Best is their lemon cheesecake, I think. Ive had Italian near and far, from little Italy in San Francisco, Seattle, LA, you name it. The quality of this place is unexpected given the location but it is by the far better than anywhere else Ive tried. Although its pricey, spent 73.00 including tip on dinner, dessert, and wine for two. They also give you free salad and bread before each meal. Theyre a professional group of waiters and waitresses that never let your cup go empty. Must have a reservation to eat here but you can usually call in the same day to book one if youre lucky.

Up until last nigh Marzanos was our favorite restaurant in the Tacoma area. We have taken our family and friends here for years. We thought it would be a good place to go to celebrate our anniversary. Everything went well until our main course was served. My wife was satisfied with her dish. Unfortunately, I cant say the same of my dish. I had ordered Maiale con Mostrada (pork shank with peach-cherry mostarda and whipped ricotta potatoes). The pork was overcooked, dry, tasteless and barely warm. The peach-cherry mostarda on top of the pork was stone cold. The potatoes were dry and dark brown around the edges. When our server asked how our food was, I told her about my problem with the food. She said she would relay my concern to the kitchen. When our check came at the end of the meal our server said she comped us a beer.

This review is long overdue. I have been going to Marzanos restaurant for years. It is our favorite Italian restaurant. The food is incredible and the service is always top notch. Its hard to believe that they can make a simple dinner salad taste so good with their homemade dressing. My daughter orders the Scalloppine every time we go. When I ate her leftovers, she almost disowned me as her father. The Tiramisu is the best Ive ever had. We do family dinners, office parties and my wife and I actually celebrated our engagement at Marzanos. I regularly give out gift certificates and the recipients always come back happy. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for great customer service, authentic Italian food and a wonderful atmosphere!

Arrived at 4:30 on a Saturday with my husband for a date night without children. Upon arriving, I became excited as I love a good Italian restaurant. Unfortunately they should recommend making reservations as even though there was several open tables available indoors, we were offered a table outdoors because all indoor tables had reservations. Outside may have been nice if it was still summer, but with Fall here there was a slight chill in the air among other things. So I am giving this restaurant one star as I feel they should leave a few tables open for walks-in and also recommend reservations one their website.

This was my first Christmas here in WA after moving from MN. Spent it alone, and didnt feel like cooking. Decided I wanted lasagna. After a search for places in the area, found Marzanos. It was a neat little place that I really want to go back to and actually sit down sometime. They were very accommodating, I picked up my order on the 23rd and they packaged it without fully heating it up so I could do so myself once I got it home. It was a HUGE piece of lasagna, nicely seasoned, very good mix of ingredients. I will be going back again.

My husband and I often eat at Marzano for special occasions, and its always wonderful. Flavors and ingredients are always fresh, well-balanced and complex while maintaining a rustic simplicity in presentation (i.e. its not fussy, but not Olive Garden). The small dinner menu changes (I believe seasonally), so theres always something new to try. I especially love their cheese tray and bruschetta. Pricey, but worth it. Definitely one of the best restaurants in our area!

I was really excited about this place but when the food came my opinion change . It was undercooked and over salted . Maybe its the thing I ordered.. It was one of the more expensive things on the menu too. Me and my boyfriend split the dish and they charged us $3 to put the food on two separate plates ?!??! Like thats very hard to do. Overall I dont know why this place has so many good rating but I think there are way better places then this !

It was hard to find a great restaurant in the PLU area, but were sure glad we bumped into Marzanos right across from the campus! My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch - the Alaskan King Salmon salad was delicious. Great wine list and local draft beers. We loved it so much we came back the next night for a romantic dinner. I recommend sitting on the back patio. Great find! PLU students - Great place for a special date - and not too expensive

Marzanos has excellent food. The menu is a little small and its a bit expensive, but this is our go-to restaurant for special occasions. Its in a converted house, so its pretty small, but weve always been able to get a reservation. They recently got new tables, so the last time we went, it was much more comfortable (it had felt a bit crowded in the center table in the first room). The staff have always been very friendly and down to earth.

Very Happy! We had a Rabbit dish & a brazed pork shoulder, both were awesome! We sat in the back, there was carpet on the floor so it wasnt too noisy. The staff was pleasant & the dessert was out of this world. We are going back again. I think the meal had a good value, there were 2 of us we had a beer & glass of wine, an appetizer, 2 dinners, 2 desserts & 1 glass of port for $95, I think that is pretty good.

My wife and I always love going to Marzanos for lunch because we can usually get a seat without a reservation. Night dining is a different story. If you want to go for dinner, please make a reservation or you may be dissapointed as we have been... The food, love it! For luch the meatball sandwich is increadable. Dinner the Lasagna, Chicken, any of the pasta dishes. Love it! Great service to boot.

The wife and I enjoyed lunch on a sunny winter afternoon after dropping our daughter, son-in-law, and 3 grandchildren off at the airport, ending what was a loooooong Christmas vacation at our home. The Lobster Shop was the perfect stop for us because everything was absolutely perfect. Its a beautiful, well-appointed restaurant with plenty of view seating overlooking Commencement Bay....

I will look at Olive Garden the same after eating an authentic Italian meal at Marzanos. Portions are large, and the atmosphere is more home-like and small. But do not make the mistake of going for dinner without a reservation, usually there is a long wait even if you have reserved ahead of time. Closed Sundays and Mondays as well.
