We showed up about 6:40 p.m. We were part of a big group. About 7:10 we finally asked if we could get some drinks. It took about 10 min. to get them. Theyre busy. Well have a little patients & theres was only 2 of them. I dont know the waitress name cuz other than taking our order (which finally happened around 7:30 & Ill point out that she wrote everyones order on a notepad like a list) she never looked at us & was constantly zipping around & seemed to only pay attention to the seats by the window. Around 8:00 food started coming out & there was no rhyme or reason to how it was coming out. They just started yelling out what it was & people would raise their hand. (Probably due to the way she took our orders. They didnt know where anything went) 4 of our 5 got food. My 7 year old didnt. I waited 10 min then finally asked jenna (whom i think was only in charge of drinks or not even our section) for the mac & cheese. She said it was cooking. 20 more min I finally just yelled to get jennas attention for the mac & cheese. 5 min he got it. Where the hell is our waitress? Does she even know were here? I complained to the manager around 8:30. We just want our bill now so we can get the hell out of here. Where the hell is the waitress? Havent seen her in awhile. Now. Due to the way she wrote down everyones order she has no idea whos gets what bill. Now we have to wait. & wait & wait. My husband (plus most of our group) had to track her down to get the bill. He over hears her trying to blame everything on jenna (whom in our opinion worked way harder at providing us service than the waitress). We finally left at 9:10. The manager had told me they should have had 3 people working that section. Okay. So why arent you over there helping? This was poorly handled. She needs to learn to take orders from a big group so theres no confusion where the food goes & what table gets what bill. One table didnt even get there food at all. She needs to pay attention to her whole section. Its like our table, & apparently the one behind us, didnt exist. More training.

So, Ive been going to this Red Robin for years, both dining in and ordering to-go. Ive always had pretty good service (sometimes a bit of a wait, but only when its pretty crowded). Ive heard of many friends or family saying that theyve had bad service, messed up orders, rude staff, etc, but Ive never run into any of that, until my last visit. I went with my dad and wife and we were seated in the main dining area. After we all ordered our dishes, it did take a while for the food to arrive, but thats not such a big deal in itself. However, when our food did finally get to our table, two out of three of the orders were completely wrong, not just a little messed up, but the entirely wrong items. We let the server know, and they put in a "rush" order for the correct items, but when those came out, things still werent quite right; the wrong sides were served, or the wrong condiments were added. They replaced the sides and remade the sandwich with the wrong condiments, but with the timing, we each pretty much ate our meals separately. Now, one bad experience out of all the perfectly fine trips to Red Robin isnt going to make not stop going, and the manager was nice enough to steeply discount the meal, but I finally see what others have been complaining about. My recommendation would be to order to-go whenever possible, because Ive yet to hear of someones to-go order getting messed up yet.

They used to have much better service but now...If we could rate less than 1 star, we would. My husband, preschooler son, and our family friend had received horrible customer service. Staff was condescending, rude, and just didnt care at all... my family had to wait 45 minutes to even receive water or drink service. It took another 15 minutes to get the drinks after ordering it. Also It took over an hour to get their food. To top it off my husband saw the manager being extremely rude by talking to group of young Asian people like they are dumb. My husband couldnt stand the way the manager was being extremely rude and talking down at them. When it was time to go, as my husband was not happy with their service so he didnt provide much of a tip...especially because he waited almost TWO HOURS to eat, from the time he stepped into the restaurant. The waiter made a rude remark about the tip, so my husband told him about the horrible service he had received, the manager (same one being rude to the Asian customers) came over and started talking to my husband condescendingly and did not even offer to make things right. If youre a manager, you should not be talking to ANY customers like they are stupid or dumb, and secondly dont talk condescendingly to customers!! If you can avoid this location, AVOID, go to another location!

Use to love this place and SPECIFICALLY the Des Moines location. Place pretty empty asked to sit in a few places- Was denied then granted. Then a ray of sunshine ANA comes and then immediately after getting the drinks she was replaced by Rena who it seemed to have been briefed about the difficult black customers in the back....Orders messed up several times - We just tapped out and called it quits! My husband who hates to tip anyways - finally found a reason to NOT tip! Even with issues I tip...but I wasnt paying today - so!!!! Now I see and have experienced what my friends do when coming here. They always complain when I say Red Robin in Des Moines :(

Over the past few months Red Robin has changed their menu for the positive. While there are still the high carb, high fat meals they have been known for, there do give you the ability to swap out veggies and proteins to fit your respective lifestyles. In addition, they had added the convenience of table top tablets that allow you to quickly refresh your drink or pay your tab instead of waiting for the hostess (who is usually busy) . Overall this is a good compromise where they have actually reduced staff and moved some of the ordering to the customer themselves (which is difficult for customizing your meals, typically).

The food is always good and hot.....when you get it. This is consistently the slowest service Red Robin in South King County. We only go to it because its rarely busy. Youd think thatd would make the service fast...but its not. This is also the dirtiest Red Robin I have ever been too! the tables are always sticky and smell like dirty dishes. the carpets I dont think have ever been cleaned...they are so gross. the entry floor is always sticky. and the air vents in the walls are black with dust. Seriously, clean the place!

This is the only burger place that has a great variety of that you can put into a Gluten Free bun! And their Gluten Free Bun is the best. This location has great service! I called my order to go, it was ready on time. I decided to eat at the restaurant and Jake the bartender was friendly, so relaxed and accommmadating. He had by burger put on a plate with fresh fries, and just provided great service! He recommended the campfire sauce for my fries, delicious and totally amazing! really enjoyed my experience!
