I had better food than what this place served. They seriously need to improve on the quality of FOOD! Get help please! My husband and I are International travellers and this Summer we have travelled to 11 cities here in USA. We just spend 2 weeks in France and Italy and finally got to USA. When we call the restaurant, they said it was FULLY Booked and we had to be seated at the bar. Ok, so problem. By looking at their website, the Restaurant looked a little fancy and very much like a restaurant in France. So we got dressed up . When we got there at 8.00pm, the restaurant was half empty. We were told that they had a table for us. Lovely dining area. What was appalling was nest to our table was a couple, the guy in shorts and tank top and the lady a t-shirt and shorts too. We mentioned this to our Waiter and he was embarrassed and apologies to us. He told us we can write in the comment card at the end of the dinner. Our Waiter was very pleasant and professional. I wont get long about the food… but I always like to order what is the restaurant speciality and order with the recommendation of the Waiter. I ordered a scallops. After the main course was done here is my conclusion. The Chef tried to make a simple scallop dish so complicated that by the time you eat it, you dont even know what the taste suppose to be. There was scallop panfried, short ribs meat in the spinach and feta cheese. Also for appetiser, I have had better crab cakes elsewhere. Very disappointing dinner. I hope the Owners of this restaurant will do something about their food and the restaurant had such nice ambiance and lovely deco.

This restaurant was recommended to us by a fellow Phonetian who used to live in Seattle. We had occassion to be there on Sunday night and it was just great. Although we only had the Calamari for appetizer and the Halibut for main meal, they were done to prefection. I loved the cole slaw with a touch of blue cheese that was served along with the Calamari and the dipping sauce was excellent. I intend to write the Chef for the recipe. (Wish me luck!) The Caesar salad was wonderful. Leaves of whole romain lettuce were served with a very light dressing and fresh shredded Parmesan. Didnt feel like I had 1000 calories when I was finished. Yummy!!!! We asked to share the Halibut and two plates were brought out each with a scoup of delicious mashed potato embelished with a parmesan crisp curl, a small baked portobello mushroom topped with spinach and a tomato wedge provincal and a delicious, light sauce. All this for $2 extra to share. I highly recommend this restaurant. Even though we only had one meal there I cant wait to go back. Much better than the food we were served on the cruise ship we had just left.

Cool location, went there for 14th anniversary. Was a bit disappointed. Not cheap.. most of steak dishes are $50/each.. but for that price I would expect them to be amazing.. it was so tough, my wife could not cut through part of it with knife and got sauce / juice all over her dress.. service was pretty darn good, but I asked for a small tuna plate $18, but was served some $30 tuna dish .. it was pretty good, but last 2 slices were chewy and fishy.. I did not complain about them, I am kind of glad the waiter made the mistake, so I could try something good... I also tried the key lime pie, and not sure why, buy I found it lacking flavor.. It also seems that the restaurant is not maintained that well. I checked out the mens bathroom, and while clean the counter under the sink appears to not be kept well and starting to rot.. Could be a 1off for this place, but will be trying other restaurants before going back...

Totally bummed! We made reservations a week in advance and we were really anticipating a great time. Flew in from Anchorage, AK and met family all the way from Texas. Brooklyn Seafood was supposed to be our big reunion place and the server was super rude. We felt rushed and hurried. When we were inquiring about different menu items he seemed annoyed. The tuna was dried out and it was promised nearly rare. Could have gotten past mediocre food if our server would have been friendly because the location and ambiance was great. The hostess was super nice. The waiter even knew we were celebrating a big milestone and barely gave us a second of attention. Finally in the end when we asked for the check super early so we could head somewhere else for after dinner drinks and dessert he started to be nice. EPIC FAIL. Too expensive and travelled too far for that kind of night.

Just went there yesterday on a whim. We sat in captains chairs facing the kitchen, so we enjoyed watching the kitchen staff cook and plate the food. Our server was very kind and very attentive (we went earlier in the evening on a weekday, so there wasnt much of a crowd) The food was absolutely delicious. I was on cloud 9 with every bite. I had the wild salmon, and all of the fixings and sides were perfectly balanced to complement my large portion of fish. I split a crab cake with a friend which was good. And had my had at a raw oyster which was very tasty. I do think the dollar signs on google are misleading, I would definitely not consider this place only a $$ restaurant more like a $$$. Be prepared to pay $29-50/entree add an appetizer or drinks and it can start to add up.

I used to frequent the Brooklyn anytime someone came into town and had a hankering for a great steak. It was beyond compare as were the oysters. This was the reason we went to the Brooklyn now being the out of towners having lived away from Seattle for many years. It will cost you five dollars for a bread basket and a hefty sum for their top tenderloin, with mixed results. Theyve either fallen on hard times or we were there on an off night. Something was different. Maybe it was that everything felt a little rushed dampening the atmosphere. As for the dinner, I had clam chowder which was creamy and excellent hitting all the right notes. Our kids wolfed down the break basket in one second flat. The chowder was great, but the steak oscar was a bit on the cold side.

Visited this place for happy hour on a sunday afternoon. Terrible Food: Steak bites were low quality cuts of meat, oysters had shell chunks and werent properly shucked, and truffle mac & cheese was swimming in oil with the noodles mushy and overcooked. Only the fried items were edible - artichokes and calamari. Terrible Service: I asked a server walking around if there were any spare chairs and was given a lecture on how they are "high commodity items" & if I couldnt find one, there wasnt one. It was a yes or no question and there was a chair behind her. Our server was also rude and short with us. She wasnt attentive and didnt seem to even want to be there. Terrible first time experience. Would never come back.

We went to the Brooklyn to celebrate an event since Elliots oyster house was jammed back. Maybe we shouldve waited at Elliots because the Brooklyn experience was terrible... The service was awful, the food was mediocre with poorly executed dishes. HH is a frenzy where all the customers are acting like wolves for tables and dont care if your waiting. The staff doesnt control this and lets this be. I guess this is a tourist trap. The service staff and waiters didnt sync up. Service was watching golf and gave mean looks when you asked them for a napkin or plate. I felt the waitress was rushing order and appeared overwhelmed. There are too many good restaurants in Seattle, you can pass this up.
