I had high hopes based on the great reviews, unfortunate that wasnt my experience. Myself, my wife, and our 4 children ate there on Thursday November 13, 2014 at 7pm. We were seated pretty quick, however it them took 10 minutes for us to see a waiter and get the chips and salsa and order drinks. I ordered the guacamole and the cheese dips to go along with the salsa. The cheese was OK, but out off a can. Unfortunately the guacamole was as well. I was really disappointed at that. We placed our order and received the food within ten minutes. Everything tasted like it was pre-made and waiting to be served. The rice was dry and bland and both the refried beans and rice came out on extremely hot plates however the food itself was only warm. The steak and chicken in all of our meals was dry and had clearly been sitting around for a while. The tamales were bland and covered in red sauce. Even something as easy as a ham and cheese quesadilla for the baby was made with processed lunch meat ham. This was certainly not worth the $72 + tip that I paid even after addressing my concerns with the manager. His reply was "oh no señor, all of our food is prepared fresh." It may have been assembled to order but it certainly wasnt prepared to order!

To start, Ive eaten here before and loved it. The chicken tacos I had gotten were really tasty. With that said, my last visit was appalling. To begin, my coworkers and I, 4 of us in total, decided to order from this location. Now being four of us, we had a few different requests, one being no onions on one of the entrées, due to a severe allergy. We received our order and everything appeared to be looking good except one of the orders had hard tacos instead of soft. Not a big deal, I called up the location to see if we could get the soft tacos and offered to bring the hard tacos back. The man on the phone was rude and argumentative claiming we ordered hard tacos and that he wouldnt replace them. Frustrated, I hung up with the man. As we delved into the food we learned more issues with the food. To start, it was all bland and tasteless, nothing like my other times there and to top it all off, the one order that we made sure to ask if it had onions. To which we were told did not have onions, did indeed have onions. We had to throw it out. My coworker has a severe allergy to onions and we asked multiple times to make sure it didnt. Im very upset about our experience here and am not planning to order out from here in the near future.

Food and drinks were fine, but our server was SO rude, unfortunately dont remember her name. I ordered taquitos (menu says 2 chicken 2 beef), she asks chicken OR beef and, confused, I say chicken...when she comes w our drinks my gf asks if theyre all chicken and she said "yes, thats what she (meaning I) ordered." We apologize and ask if we can have it how the menu has it bc we were confused and she insists on checking if theyre done first. Comes back and says theyre already done and we are shocked and ask, again, if we can get 2 beef instead, and she says theyre already done and that we ASKED for all chicken..Ive never had a server insist I take the food even though its not what I wanted. I worked in food service and thats not how you handle that situation. Needless to say she was rude the rest of the time we were there. She was very childish and unprofessional.

Have eaten here before and it was great but this last time the service was not the best. Some of our good was brought to the table and the waitress walked off without saying anything, no "I will be back with the rest". My 2 year old daughter and husband had nothing to eat. After about 5 minutes their food came out. I ordered a hot dog for our toddler and it was cold. Hadnt even been cooked at all. They just took it out of fridge and put it in her plate. Had to ask them to take it back and microwave it. Very disappointing. How does that even happen?

Food good. Ordered Fajitas couple of times but didnt come out sizzling like most restaurants. Good chips and delicious salsa. Love the Mexican beer on tap. Ice cold. Drank at bar 12/28 hour before close and bar messy with couple of fruit flys buzzing me. Buddy ordered the 60 oz margarita. Tasty but disappointed they pour mix from gallon plastic container similar to my pool chlorine jugs. And they were just sitting out and not in fridge. Ill stick to the beer and tostadas.

The food is absolutely worth the price. Their service is great, with the staff centered on delivering exactly what you want as quickly as possible. Really, I cant stress enough how friendly and comfortable the staff made us feel on our visit, which was my Partners birthday meal. The grilled foods are particularly good, perfectly well done and seasoned just right. Give this place a try if youre in the area, youre sure to get the best value for your money. :)

One of the first Mexican restaurants Ive been to that havent been decorated with Corona signs. The owners have definitely decided to offer a great atmosphere. Its very colorful which would be great with kids. Their menu includes a vegetarian section! I order something different off it every time. Drinks are great, the wait staff is attentive and friendly. Chips and salsa come with your meal.

My first time going to El Cozumel was on May 2nd 2013. I was impressed with the overall look of the place. To my delight the food I usually order from Mexican restaurants was on special. I ordered a takeout Steak Fajita Quesadilla and also wanted a basket of chips and salsa. Everything tasted really good and the price was quite reasonable too! Overall I would definitely recommend!! Enjoy!

I adored the intriguing interior etiquette, the discipline excited me rite through my last bite. I have been to a group of Mexican restaurants however this would be my best pick on a good bargain meal.Their seafood enchiladas, variety specialties, pinacoladas, guacamole and salsa are awesome. I would highly recommend this as the best culinary abided Mexican restaurant in the locale.

This is a wonderful place to eat. The food is fresh and delicious, and the decor is fun and festive. I love the fresh tortilla chips and the delicious salsa. I frequently order the chicken quesadilla because the chicken is so tender, juicy, and delicious. I love to dip the chips into the rice and beans, and the chille relleno is very tasty.

I ordered take out and was very pleased with the way everything was prepared to go. The Chorizo Tacos was delicious, beans and rice good flavor. Chips, salsa and toppings - awesome! Staff was polite and friendly. I arrived a little early and did not have to wait long, good food is worth waiting for. Highly recommend "Delicioso"!!

The atmosphere and cocktails are all that is good at this restaurant in my opinion. Ive been numerous times, was not impressed with the food at all. It is not authentic and sometimes the service is not the greatest. El costumel on Richfield Rd use to be the best in this area, we now drive to Tia Helitas or Lopes to eat Mexican.
