I would give this place 5 stars if there service was better. I expected to have to wait for a table on a Friday night even though it was 7:30. Once seated, it took at least 10 minutes just to get water. Asked for 2 loaves of bread since there were 5 of us, but only got 1 and had to ask for another. The waitress finally went to the table next to us to get their drink order, came to our table for our food order, then back to the other table for their food order. Not very efficient. Had to ask for more water. Waited almost an hour for our food, but had to ask for silverware. The food was great and was really the only upside too eating here. I see many others saying their prices are not bad...I think some were okay, others a little high. $35 for a steak from a restaurant attached to a hotel is kind of high in my opinion, but thats just my opinion. I mentioned to our host or long wait and he shrugged it off as normal on a busy night. Yes, the 15 tables or so in their restaurant were mostly full when we got there, but several were empty by the time we got our food. This place only stays open because of its good food in a tourist town. If it were in a busier City, I dont think it would last.

Wow. Wow! You may not know how good this place is when you pull up, and if you didnt go in youd sure be missing out! My other half and I were just in, and we are so happy, and so full. Michaela was knowledgeable about the menu, pairing of her wine selection and we enjoyed chit chatting with her at the bar. She was awesome! I had the Cioppino, and not only was it a large helping, it blew my socks off, just delicious. Deanna had the shrimp scampi and even though she couldnt finish it, there was no way we wouldnt take the rest home. In between dinner and this amazeballs strawberry shortcake we somehow couldnt stop eating, even though we were so full, we met Ron and another gentleman who works the front and had great conversations with them also. They were very interested in our opinions on everything, and you could tell that they cared. We found out that the Bennett Crab Shack we had a great lunch at, was connected with the Ocean Grill. We couldnt say enough about this whole experience with everything, everyone, and we cant wait to come back! If youre in Ocean Shores and dont stop here, you havent been to Ocean Shores!

After we saw good review on Google, my family and I decided to give it a try. We were there for a family get away with our baby girl who is only yr and half old and very cranky after a long afternoon at the beach. We were greeted with a nice gentleman at the front, made it to our assigned table , 15 min after we sat down , we got piece of bread and butter. Then we sat for half an hr and still no one came to take our order, not even a glass of water were we offered while two different group of people that came after us were been served. I was in disbelief and disgusted, mind u we were the only African American family in that restaurant, I grabbed my baby and left. I was amazed this type of service still exists, I have traveled pretty much all over the country and not a single time was I treated this way. You should be ashamed of ur selves, unbelievable

Alisha, our hostess and server, was incredibly friendly and attentive. I ordered the chicken marsala and a stout, my partner ordered the mac and cheese with chicken and an old fashioned. We waited almost no time at all for our drinks, and our food was served quicker than were used to. We received the mac and cheese first and were told that our cook had to start over on the sauce for the chicken marsala because it didnt come out right. Less than ten minutes later Daneka, our cook for the evening, brought out my dish. Everything tasted fantastic. This was the best dining experience weve had in over a year, and we most certainly will be returning next time were in Ocean Shores.

Food was absolutely delicious, but the service didnt compare to the food. I had the prime rib dinner, with a baked potato and steamed broccoli. The prime rib was cooked perfectly, along with the delicious broccoli. I came with my family, and we had 5 adults and four children. The staff seemed sort of annoyed with our children, and rarely checked on us. Its too bad the service didnt compare to the food, because the food was delicious! I believe its more like 3.5 stars.

Update: sevice was greatly improved (not great) on our last visit. Food was amazing, filet was perfect. A good dark beer would make this a great restaurant. Second time eating here. Loved the food, but the service has been awful each time. Once with the guy in the bar and once with a woman in the restaurant, they seem understaffed and when your dropping $120 for food, thats unexceptable. Again, its too bad because the chef is killing it.

Excellent food with so-so service. The service was slow, the place seemed under staffed and we had to repeat a couple things several times. Although the prices were very high (I suspect this is common for any tourist destination), the food was amazing. If you have plenty of time and dont mind spending a little extra, Ocean Grill is can be an enjoyable eat.

Wow what a dud horrible food! I will not eat here again! Not good steak was over cooked and dry. The broccoli-over cooked and mushy. Kids pita pizza was gross inedible. Just gross! Too bad the service is awesome and so is the atmosphere. If you dont mind blowing money on food worst than McDonalds and want to have a drink this is the place to go.

This place has great everything. Staff the lady drove a customer home cuz he was too drunk and in his car and her friend followed so he would have his own car. The food was amazing Crab melt is my new fav. But i wanna try the burger with blue chease. The atmosphere is beautiful.The lighting makes anyone hott.Great place.

Would love to tell you how the food was, but the we never got seated. The hostess (doubling as a server) never got to us before we left, even though there were 4 tables open when we arrived and at least 5 groups left while we stood there. The ambiance was nice at least. We went to the Galway Bay instead.

Unimpressed. The alfredo sauce was soupy which made it a huge pain to eat the noodles. Couldnt get them with a fork and wouldnt fit on a spoon. My husband had the sea food alfredo and the shrimp still had tails, another pain to eat. Service was good, but the best part was the free bread.

Casual dining with GREAT food. Pricey, but reasonable, and you can get relatively inexpensive items if youre on a budget. Whatever you order, youll be very happy you ate it. Be careful, though. Its easy to eat way too much because you cant convince yourself to stop!

The food was good, but they only had one server working, so as soon as more people showed up everything took so much longer. I would have given this place more stars if it didnt take so long. Besides the small hickup, its good food, and a friendly place.
