While always a pleasure and divine food every time except last night. I always order chicken fried chicken. Its so tender and you dont need a knife to cut it. Fork tender and delicious. Last night however my chicken slipped out of its fried shell. The " shell" of deep fried batter was too hard to eat and the chicken that slipped out was a 3"x2" hunk of the toughest meat I ever tried to saw into with a knife! I dont think it had been pounded out before cooking. I think it was done but it couldnt be cut. I didnt make it known because Ive never had that happen. Ill still order it because I think it was just an oversight in the prep work. The gravy was so thick it had to be cut as well. Only a dab. I like a good quarter cup of good gravy! It was so thick I just lifted it off with a fork and sat it aside with the meat. I didnt complain or make cracker barrel aware of this. Too many people could be influenced and I cant stand people who yelp over their food. I just think discretion is best. I just wanted to let you know it was an isolated bad experience. The Mac n cheese,green beans were wonderful! The biscuits werent quite done. Needed about 3 more minutes in the oven. This place get a one for the service. That was its only saving grace. My husband went to get to go food vecause we were tired. It not only took an hour but the food was very cold and missing half of the order. We ordered a sampler and an open faced roast beef. The roast beef was compleatly missing the side of dumplings. The sampler had dry meatloaf, a piece of fat masquerading as ham comma and the saddest okra ever. It was also supposed to have dumplings there were a total of three small dumplings and one piece of chicken. Both meals looked as if they had already been eaten and what was being provided was simply leftovers. For $20 save your money and eat at the steak house across the road.

Hello all "PUBLIC ELEPHANT AT LARGE HERE"...Let me tell ya the buttons were popping off my shirt after this supper ( i ate like it was my last supper)......i had the sampler plate three times over with 2 baskets of biscuits and 1 basket of corn bread and let me not forget my large chiefs salad with light dressing and a large diet soda.....let me say my order came at light speed...( as so it was consumed).....left feeling pleasently plump and very satisfied.....my compliments to the entire staff for such a wonderful dining experience!!!!!

the worse every call a to go order in the manger her self shelly took it I live 15 miles away she said 10 min over the phone got there and 15 min later manger shelly comes out and I said some thing about how long it was taking and she smile and said she was by herself and started working cash register 15 more min go by and I walk to the back and told a waitress I needed a gallon of tea and 2 min I had it that is bad business I dont care how big you are

Waited twenty minutes with party of seven. There were four of us early by 10 minutes! They called our name and we went to go be seated the four of us and they said its company policy that all 7 could be seated. I have two small children and this was frustrating! The rest of our party came ten minutes later and they told us it would be another twenty minutes! Wow! Waffle House has better food anyways!

Ordered food to go as my wife and I were tired and we wanted to quickly eat and sack out. I placed the order on the phone. The food took about 30 minutes and they butchered my name but thats not really an issue. My issue was that our food was cold. The flavor was great, but for what I payed I expected the food to be warm at least. If you get food from this location, eat there, dont take it out.

A great place to have breakfast before a long drive. A hearty balanced meal for only 12$ with amazing customer care. I had The Country Boy which comes with sirloin, grits, eggs, 2 biscuits with gravy, hashbrown, and fried apples. The steak was perfectly cooked. The fried apples were fresh and is a must have. The only negative thing is that I had to leave and cant visit this place again.

After being seated it was 10 minutes before someone took our drink order. After our food was ordered it took 45 minutes for us to get it. My food was cold & lumpy. The potatoes were cold, cornbread cold. My wife had breakfast & half of it was overcooked & cold. Not the Cracker Barrel of a few years ago. Probably will start looking else where for meals.

Always (!) a great ambiance of "old country" dining with a Moms homemade style menu! Delicious and good quality. Great and large gift shop with country styled gifts, food and candies. Quality well trained personnel knowing their menu and values! Respectful and helpful to older people! Clean bathrooms. Tables are a little small. Cracker Barrel Rocks!

The atmosphere here is always crazy. I feel bad for the staff here. My food is hardly ever good; sometimes its cold, sometimes its undercooked, sometimes my order isnt right. The bathrooms are not very pleasant because their usually dirty, the toilet paper is usually out, or something is broken. The crowds are too large for this restaurant.

Not the food that Cracker Barrel used to make to say the least. Been going to this place for years but unfortunately since they have spread all over the country out of Tennessee the food has without question suffered. Also am tired of the gift shop filled with made-in-china junk along with candy that is very over priced.

Food was good but they were short handed so service was slow. however our server was very nice. He tried very hard to be on top of things but it was a long wait due to them being so short handed they were out of a lot of things we wanted even lemon he said they had not had a truck run for what ever reason. We arrived at the Dickson area just in time to watch the Tennessee/Alabama game and we really didn't want to eat out. So we did the take out. It was fast and delicious! Great service, even remembered extra butter and napkins and silverware. It was just what we needed on a Tennessee Football evening!

The food was awesome. I had the Apple Cider BBQ chicken. Im now addicted. Love the darling little Easter dresses in the gift shop. Go get your dress for your little girl there for Easter Sunday and worship our Christ in style. Cute little very unique boy outfits too. A must see.

BAD POOR SERVICE OUT OF THE PRODUCT ON SUNDAY WENT BACK ON TUESDAY ORDER A DIFFERENT ITEM AND THEY WHERE OUT OF THAT AS WELL. THEY LEFT OUT THINGS THAT I ASK FOR ON SUNDAY AND THE SERVER WAS VERY RUDE TOOK THEM 45 MINUTES TO TELL ME THAT THEY DIDNT HAVE WHAT I ORDERED
