For Seattle waterfront location: This is the first time Ive tried this location and the first time Ive done a to-go order at RR. The prices are reasonable, especially for the location. Ive had good experiences at the few RRs Ive been to around the country. Both the hostess and server were pleasant and helpful. The fries fell out of the top of the bag as soon as I picked it up. The hostess tried to find which server helped me. I waited, and the manager came out and tried to give me a smaller fry order that was not extra crispy as I had ordered (also it was obvious the RR seasoning was missing), but it was ready now versus a ten minute wait. I explained to him that it wasnt what I ordered and that he could see my previous spilled fry order at the top of the trashcan next to us. I got up and pointed at the trashcan, when he said "Please dont go through my trash." The statement was both inaccurate and inappropriate, even if I did appear a bit frumpy from being up the entire night. This area is prime tourist real estate in Seattle, especially during the Summer. Since so many restaurant patrons are passing through and may never be back, why not recognize your potential repeat customers? The manager disappeared and my server showed up just a couple of minutes later with a new correct fry order this time packaged in a spill-proof container. It was lucky I had hand tipped her the first time she brought out my order. The food was consistent with other locations. It seems condiments are by request only for some burgers like the Keep it Simple, which is dry without condiments. Since this is the closest location for me and RR is one of the few successful chains to offer very good variety for any type of diet, I will certainly be back despite the slightly awkward interaction with the manager during a busy time for them. FIVE STARS for RR online: Red Robins website is easily one of the best if not the best thought-out of all current restaurant websites. There is a feature where the user can enter their allergens (or preferences/restrictions), and it returns a fully customized menu. Its brilliant and proactive. Kudos to the website planners and designers. The online ordering is just as good, allowing you to change pickup times and locations without having to go back through all the order pages (you can make these changes directly even from the very last payment screen). The only thing I would add is a checkbox indicating cash tip, or better yet, allow for adjustable tipping up to 5 minutes after pickup. Although most restaurant ordering apps deal with tipping in a similar manner, does it make sense for a customer to decide a tip amount on a to-go order before they know how their service/experience will be? Yes, customers should always tip on to-go orders at full service restaurants, since its often the server who has both packaged and bagged the food.

Red Robin is a chain so the typical lack luster approach to your dining experience is to be expected. The silver lining is that you pretty much get the same experience whether youre at the Lynnwood, WA location or in downtown Seattle. Red Robin has always been consistent. The problem is that its consistently blah. This location at the Seattle pier is especially blah because its so small. Often times youre left waiting for someone to pass you so that you get get to the bathroom, get back to your seat or simply leave. The food is slightly poor for the value. Its close but I would say you pay more for something than its worth. Over the last few years the chain has tried to change things up and part of that is higher prices with a less personal touch on service. Red Robin takes advantage of something called a Ziosk. The moment your child touched the Ziosk they can easily gain access to games, and the moment that happens your bill just got a $1.99 charge. Even if they dont play the game, or you take the Ziosk from them...theres a charge. So whats up with the Ziosk anyway? Im not really sure. Rather than give your server a card/cash and pay your share, you do it all through the Ziosk if youre paying with a card. You can review your bill, call your server, pay, print/email a receipt, and play games. Now take into account I might be a little biased. I can cook, Im rather good at it, and I gauge a lot of my experience on whether the food was worth the price. Cutting the chase, the food wasnt bad but it wasnt awesome. Was the food edible and the order correct...yes. There are obviously more expensive places to eat in the area and this is probably on the low/medium side of the price guide for the pier.

I thought the food was great the server we had was very poor. He was inattentive and at times sitting on his butt doing nothing. We were all out of drinks and bottomless fries and we had to wait 10 minutes to get another fries. By the time we got our fries we were all done with their food and I was done with my food as well. When I needed to leave he took about 15 minutes to get our t check. We were a group of 12 and I specifically told him active beginning of getting our orders that we were all individual orders. So at the end of the meal he told us to pay on that one check. Most of my friends are low income which means we only have enough to pay for our meal. There is no way we could financially pay a one check. That is why I told him this is separate checks please. When I needed to Leave to catch a cab he was very sarcastic and told me that I shouldve paid one check. And then he took five more minutes to get my friend cash for 20. U2 should be filled constantly. As a result the cab canceled on me . Adding more stress I have epilepsy and it doesnt do me good to have stress after a good meal and more stress. I probably will not return.

Came in here a few days ago for my sons birthday party, and were told that we would have to be placed at separate tables. The host showed me their "new policy" and cited it as the reason that my party of ten couldnt sit all together. The server was great, Im just very upset that my son had to choose which of his friends he wanted to sit with. It was the middle of the day, and there was plenty of space for us to sit together. Ridiculous. Red Robin needs to accommodate for large birthday parties! I dont know if well be back next year for Michaels birthday if this policy is still in place!!

The Pier 55 Red Robin staff is VERY well informed on the gluten free menu. Our server was outstanding and management was extremely helpful in providing the list of ingredients for their new GF bun. (We had no idea Red Robins were starting to offer GF Buns! Wahoo!!!) The bathrooms were clean, booths were clean and for a burger chain, the food was quite good. While we live a few hours away from Seattle now, we will make return trips to this specific Red Robin because of how well they handle their GF customers!
