I wish I could give negative ratings. This happened today - 04/09/2016. We were asked by the owner (manager) of this restaurant to "Get out"and told we would not be served food because my 2 year old kid was crying. We were waiting at the entrance to be seated when the Manger informed my wife that she could not get the kid inside because he was crying. When I spoke to him and argued with him on how he could stop us he said as per law he can stop us from entering the restaurant. We were asked to leave immediately. He was extremely rude and arrogant. This happened in front of all his guest at the time. I leave it to you guys to decide if you want to visit a restaurant which does not want to serve a hungry 2 year old kid.

If I could, I would give this negative stars. The service is pathetic- the waiters couldnt care less about what you needed. Once you get the food, they disappear. The food is pathetic- not a SINGLE thing, from start to finish tasted good. Especially the kulfi. Packaged Kulfi is better. The management is pathetic- we asked our waiter to bring the kulfi after we finished eating. He brought the kulfi out and we were still eating. He said the kitchen was closing, but it was still half an hour from closing time, and more customers arrived after that. My question is, how was the kitchen closed then? Did they feed the guests air? Overall, my experience here was not very pleasurable. I will not be bringing my business here again.

Madras Mantra was suggested to me by a close friend and I had high hopes with the restaurant coz I really like to eat in pure vegetarian restaurants. I had ordered pani puri and onion chilli uttapam. Pani puri was decent enough and close to the north indian taste. Uttapam was pretty good, sambhar had authentic south indian taste. However, somehow I found their tomato chatni was staled. Restaurant was good enough to replace it. But it had the same foul taste. I dont know why they were not accepting it. Over all i liked the food. Pros: Good quality and tasty food, specially south indian dishes, fast service, polite staff Cons: None as such. But did not have a wow factor.

Excellent food quality, huge variety of curries, desserts, appetizers, Rice and much more to follow. So that sums up the quality and diversity of food offered which I would rate 5/5. Next is the value for the food, though upscale but highly affordable and way cheaper than other restaurants that are not even little close in the quality of food. Value 5/5. Lastly customer service, amiable hosts but they certainly could improve it further by training them better to add final star to their service, customer service 4/5. Ive given a rating of 4 but guys everyones got to visit this place atleast once! Give it a shot and you wont be disappointed!

Amazing south indian food. Probably the best in ATL. They have an extensive range of south indian dishes which comes with sambar( south indian lentil gravy) and at least 4 different kinds of chutney. I would totally recommend their mysore masala dosa and rava idly. Nice ambience. Personally, I love south indian food and this place never makes me miss it. And also, they have an extensive list of north indian curries and bread but they are cooked in south indian style with few additional spices, that gives these curry a twist of taste. Would also recommend trying out their lunch buffet.

Dosa was not made from risen batter. It tasted flat and tasteless. Sambar lacked flavor and spice. Coconut Chutney had mint and too much salt. Pakoda were hard. Medhu vada were dry and hard. Idly chat was good. Pav bhaji dosa just had mixed vegetables instead of bhaji. You will find better dosa at Chaat Ka Chaska or buy the batter from madurai foods and make your own idli and dosa. Much better. When making idli dont stir the batter and ladle off the top. For dosa add some water and cook on a cast iron skillet. You will enjoy it much more.

This restaurant dont even deserves a single star. Who will care about the taste if hospitality is not proper. They dont even maintain the proper temperature inside by keeping the thermostat at 81 F in Hot summer days. I requested them at-least 10 times to make the temperature down as my 7 months old baby got irritate but they were arrogant and every-time replied that AC is not working ( or brake down ). If that is the case then why not able to keep portable AC ready or why not shut down the restaurant services till AC is repaired?

The place is OK, but I have a serious complaint about the hygiene there. The first time I went there, the food was OK, but I found some hairs in my dosa. But, I excused them. But, recently, I went there, and the SAME incident occurred. The first time I excused them, but this was getting too much. I now question their personal hygiene and if the cooks REALLY where hairnets. Also, the people at the front desk arent very friendly and the food takes a long time to cook. I will not go there anymore. Thank you.

Awesome and most authentic South Indian food, served in a beautiful restaurant, with a smile. We are foodies from India and this restaurant gets the golden seal of approval from us. We have been here twice since it opened- each visit was super. We loved the fresh dosas brought to the table, along with fresh vadas, rasam, sambhar and other dishes. The customer service is also outstanding. This is soul food for us and we are so happy to have this excellent restaurant in Decatur.

I was stuck in traffic, saw this restaurant, and decided Id have Indian for dinner. I didnt realize this place was vegetarian till the server let me know after asking for a chicken dish. Decided Id stay and try it out and Im glad I did. This was my first time going to a vegetarian restaurant and wont be the last. It was a nice change, the food was really good, and the servers/managers were very friendly. Overall great meal, even without food that once had a pulse.

Im pretty skeptical when it comes to good reviews for Indian resturants but this one was on point! We walked in and were greeted promptly. Decor was great for an Indian restaurant and food was fantastic. They have foods they can make without onion and garlic listed on the menu! Bravo Madras Marsala, way to raise the bar. Will FULLY recommend to all my buddies and be coming back for more deliciousness!

After being in US for more than 6 months and traveling to multiple places, Madras Mantra has been one of the best south Indian restaurant I have been to. Amazing ambience. Food is very good and feel fresh and hygienic(of course) The idlys are soft, vadas are crispy. Onion Rava dosa was beyond perfect. :) If your a South Indian and have a love for coffee, then do try their coffee. Loved the place.

This place is extremely good. We ordered mini idly s with coconut chutney and sambar and peanut chutney, everything is really very nice with perfect taste. I also ordered onion chili dosa its extremely good with perfect taste and perfectly cooked. Over all I am 100% satisfied and would recommend all my friends to visit the place. If you are in Atlanta its a must visit place.
