Fantastica y autentica comida Mexicana. These are the best street tacos in Seattle, so far as Im concerned. And this is an extremely local business, formed out of Ballard. Scott runs a solid business, and I make it a point to visit his restaurant on a nearly weekly basis. All of the pork options are incredible. The salsas are typically incredible, and Ive never really ever had a single bad meal here, having eaten there for a number of years, on a fairly consistent basis. My only complaints would be that the refrigerated pico de gallo sometimes tastes a bit "off". The last few times its been great; but every once in a while, its consistently "fishy" tasting and off-putting. That, and I find that the steak is almost always overcooked (Id prefer more of a medium to medium-well), and a little underseasoned. I recommend getting three-to-five tacos and just trying a little bit of everything. If youre still hungry, try a pork tamale. The Carnitas Gorditas are one of my favorite dishes. Its a perfect contrast of fried dough, tender, fatty pork, a rich sauce, sauteed onions, creamy avocado, and a delicious queso fresco, with some fresh cilantro to tie it all together. That dish is pretty difficult to top. Everything is extremely good, though. You really wont go wrong ordering whatever sounds good to you. The fish tacos are solid, if thats more your style. If I could only eat at one restaurant for the rest of my life, this place would definitely be up there. Awesome value for a quality product. Good job, Scott. My only other criticism would be to cut back on the plastic silverware and to instead offer metal, washable utensils.

Summary: Good food, poor experience / Favorite Menu Item: Pollo Asado Taco / Stopped by after work for a quick dinner. There were two people in line ahead of me, a couple people sitting to the side. It took 46 minutes before my number was called. Everything was wrapped up, and after waiting so long I didnt want to stand there pealing off tin foil to make sure nothing was missing. As it goes... at home I found that of my order of four things (tacos, gorditos, plato mexicano and mole) one was missing (gorditos). Tainted by the irritation and hassle incured to get the food, it didnt taste good to me. My boyfriend liked it, and I think I would have under better circumstances. The plato mole had a good sauce, but was half chicken and half spiky bones, so that wasnt so pleasant to eat. The experience I had today is probably not the universal one, but I dont want to go back.

I filled up a punch card and already redeemed it, so Ive had over 10 burritos here with no problems. Until today. I ordered a chicken burrito, and within a minute was given my order. Great, I thought, they must have been making one already and had it ready to go. Usually it takes at least 5 minutes to get the order. I drove home (15 minutes) and sat down to eat what turned out to be a very cold burrito. Apparently this one was made and then sat around for who knows how long. Several rubbery chunks of chicken parts were in the burrito as well which I had to spit out. To top off the experience, they were out of punch cards today so my purchase didnt count toward a free burrito. Maybe thats not such a bad thing after all. Major fail by El Camion today :(

Cashier/wait staff was slow. Took me three attempts at ordering (straight off the menu, not a special order) before the cashier got it right, then they forgot my order of tamales, which I would also give 1 star. The icing on the cake was the glob of salsa I sat in at one of their tables. Ill take partial credit for sitting in salsa cause thats just a dingus move but in my defense, customers really shouldnt have to be on the lookout for chip dips before they sit down at a"4.5" star spot

Mexican food truck grub at its best!!! Tacos, burritos and other plates with authentic, well cooked meats like steak, shrimp, cod fish, beef tongue, pork shoulder. Spicy addictive condiments you can spam your tacos with and fragrant horchata to wash everything down. Only the best.

Carne Asada or Pollo Asado burritos are delicious here. Best burrito Ive had since Southern California and their Chipotle hot sauce is amazing (but also pretty spicy). Definitely go to the truck over the restaurant though because food and service are both SO much better.

Amazing Mexican food done right! Weve tried just about everything on the menu and you really cant go wrong. My personal favorites are the gorditas piled high with fresh ingredients and the tortas made on amazing bread with just the right amount of filling.

Ive been going to the various El Camion locations for a couple of years. Always great food, excellent salsas, and good customer service. Most recently I got hooked up with an extra taco as they were closing up, just because they had extra. You guys rock!

Came here for lunch and it was stellar. Got the "arroz con pollo" but chose not to do the rice and opted for double veggies. The veggies were grilled to perfection and it was a great paleo option if thats your thing. Out the door with tip for $10.61.

Phenomenal tacos, especially their grilled white fish. Everything is very fresh, abundant and flavorful. Their salsas are great and the preparation of the food is fast and delicious. Such a low price tag for a great meal or snack.

The prices are pretty decent. The service is good. The food is awesome, although the carne asada seemed a bit dry. That can be fixed with there selection of hot sauces though. An great spot for a quick, spicy snack.

Most food is pretty good and fresh. Pozole (verde) quite good. Nice vibe and tables outside for a sunny day. Chorizo however was pretty flavorless, as were the sauces, disappointing for a Mexican restaurant ...

So great! Loved the taco combinations. Got shrimp instead of fish on accident but maybe the staff member didnt hear me. My wife got the gorditas and they were just okay, too much bread.

By far the best burrito place Ive found so far in Seattle. Food is amazing. They have some tables under a tent but this is a food truck so dont expect a full service sit down place.

Excellent tacos! Not sure why they have a truck here as their restaurant is right down the street. Clean and fast service. Free parking. Small covered tables for eating there.

Huuuge burritos. These burritos are fire! Nothing tastes better than a dirty burrito with bombing hot salsa- this place has exactly that... Did I mention burritos?

El Camion has amazing food for the price. The over all experience of eating there is enjoyable, except for being outside. Their burritos are very filling.

The best value in Ballard. Their gorditas are fantastic and all of the meat options I have tried have been excellent. I generally go with adobada.

Cochiniti pibil and horchata were pretty good. They need to bottle their sauces so people dont keep dropping stuff inside the open containers
