If I could give less than one star I most certainly would. The food was extremely poor quality and they forgot the tortillas for fajitas. I spoke to the manager who later said he was the store manager, he did not speak like someone who should have that title. Anthony C. (The store manager) said that I would have to speak with someone at corporate over a $30 tab. Ive worked in restaurants long enough to know when the food sucks it sucks and you give the customer their money back, not ask them to bring their TOGO food back to the store for a refund. I advise you goto Salsas... its about 1 mile from this location. If you have bad food somewhere would you go back for complementary food.... negative. Why not just give the customer their money back and end it at that.

I came in with my family at 8:30 for a birthday dinner. We were seated next to the door in a circular booth... I had to ask for a kid chair for my 2 yo. The music was so loud that I couldnt hear my husband. There was a big group of 16 women in the middle of the restaurant being disruptive. Our food was warm and my childs chicken fingers came with 3 ketchup packets. Next I had to ask for more napkins... My husbands steak was burnt, and looked like half of it was cut off. What a bad experience for $38.00... Dont waste your time..

Great food and our server, Carlos, was excellent. The front door greeting was actually sub par (a manager came in and greeted us in the nick of time). And the employees at the front door also ignored us on the way out. But, Carlos served us delicious apps (Queso Fundido) and entrees. He was attentive, pleasant and right on time with everything. Clean restaurant and restrooms. Awesome server, food runners and kitchen. Good experience in spite of front door fumbles.

Overall, the food/service here was top notch as we were part of a large party. We ordered the pineapple/guacamole dip and it was AMAZING. The fried ice cream was HIGHLY disappointing. All they do is throw fried bread slices on top of a serving of ice cream (see picture)...lol.... What happened?! The fried ice cream from before used to be WAY better! No bueno!

My family and I eat at Plaza Azteca at least once a week. The food is always delicious. The service is amazing...You only have to wait 5-10 minutes for your meal every time! I find myself getting annoyed when I go to other restaurants because I am so used to Plazas amazing service. I recommend Combination 18 and sweet iced tea. :)

Been there once and it was not very expensive. The fajitas for 2 for $10 or 15 (I think) is enough for 3 people and is probably the best option. Atmosphere was ok, seats felt kinda greasy, smokey inside (like everything came out on hot plates for the past 5 years) lol. Always seems to be packed though.

They were inattentive, incompetent, and very short with our entire party of 8. They kept messing up our orders and just acted like they didnt want to serve any of us. We werent rude, but they sure were. Disappointed would be a word to describe our time spent at this establishment. Will not come again.

The best place for the "Americanized" Mexican food in Newport News. The service has always been great and the food is delicious. Portions are large so make sure you come hungry. Happy hour goes until 7 so come early for a good price on Jumbo Margaritas. For a splurge, try the jumbo organic margarita.

They have a very good menu selection. Camarones (shrimp) and pescado (fish) are always fresh and cocktails are made to perfection. The wait staff are always pleasant and appear to enjoy what they do. Every time Im in Newport News I have at least one meal at this location.

It was loud and the management did nothing to control a rowdy crowd of young adults who made everyone else uncomfortable with their language and behavior. We had to wait over 30 minutes to have our credit card processed without any concession for our time.

The food here is delicious and the interior is really nice. I really ike their foyer, which has these little compartments with candles. You can tell they take a lot of pride in how the place looks. The service was great as well.

We love this location. Since they revamped their nachos and Im pretty plain when it comes to them, I usually just get the chicken fried rice and use the chips to eat it. Its the perfect ratio of queso to chicken/chip.

I loved it! The shrimp dish I had was loaded with massive shrimp and the rice was fantastic. Also, I went for happy hour on St. Patricks Day so the green margaritas were strong and delicious!

Although the bartender took a while to come, (to an empty bar) , the bartender was polite, the drinks (jumbo Texas) was awesome. Best place to get a good drink worth your money! Trust me!
