After sitting at the bar to place an order for takeout we watched three different servers come behind the bar and make drinks for their tables. I waited for a bartender to appear because no one was stopping to talk to us. One of the servers was near enough for me to not have to call out loudly to them so I politely asked if there was a bartender. She said no, but didnt really go much further. I asked her how are we supposed to order, simply because it was unorthodox to me and I sincerely wasnt able to figure it out. She acted like I was wasting her time. She reluctantly asked if wed like menus, to which I happily said yes. Instead of feeling welcomed, especially being the first time I had ever been here, the vibe was odd and awkward. At that point I decided not to expect too much from the service, but hold out and hope that the food was great. I lived mainly in Southern California, and worked in kitchens where I learned most of the Spanish that I know. Not that it fully qualifies me to be the worlds best food critic, but I certainly feel comfortable putting in my two cents. I ordered the Tacos Carne Asada. The menus gives you a choice between corn or flour tortillas. These are supposed to be the crowd favorite of this restaurant. We also order 2 cheese burritos, and the menu did not specify whether it had beans in it, but I only assumed it did. The vibe was already weird, and I decided to let the server who took our order to walk us through the ordering process. We wanted corn tortillas for the tacos, but we were not asked and we did not specify when we ordered, so we got flour tortillas. Also, the photo in the menu did not match what we were served. Just looking at the tacos you could tell there was very little pride taken in the entire preparation process. The cheese "burritos" (photo attached) were two flour tortillas folded into a burrito shape, and topped with cheese and sauce. No beans in site. As far as taste, the food was not authentic, based on the very basic dishes we ordered. If you cant knock these dishes out of the park I am not confident in ordering anything else. The beef was not flavorful, and the chopped onion and cilantro was absent (it had chopped onion and cilantro in the picture on the menu). Nothing was so significant that I feel compelled to go into depth explaining how horrible or how delicious it was. Final grade of "C" for the dishes themselves. Final grade of "D" overall, taking into account what our entire experience was like. I would not recommend Cazadores to anyone.

My daughter and I went there for the first time tonight and walking in the door we were greeted right away. We were seated with menus and after about five minutes ordered our drinks. The atmosphere was nice and cozy but I guess that depends on the time of day you go. After ordering our food that took about ten minutes...not long at all. They do provide you with healthy portions of food to where you may be taking some home. The waitress was attentive and really sweet. She made sure nothing was needed at all times. The food was pretty good as well. I must say Ive had better Mexican food but for the price I couldnt complain. We had a good experience and would definitely be willing to go back again one day soon.

This has become our favorite restaurant. After repeated lousy service at the "other" new mexican restaurant down the street, we gave these guys a go. I wish wed stopped there sooner! Ive never had a bad dish there, their food is great. The staff has always been very friendly. Their prices are very reasonable. Whats more, theyre FAST! Ive never had to wait for a seat, and weve had our food within ten minutes (often less) of being in the door every single time after dozens of visits. Quite a change after the frequent 45 minute waits we experience down the street. Cazadores is the *only* place we eat out now (were pretty picky about our food, and cook better than most restaurants).

Stopped here for dinner one night, before a long trip down to southern North Carolina and really enjoyed the place! The staff was very polite and attentive. The place was clean and very much festive with all sorts of Mexican decor. The food was really good and was quite authentic as well. I really had no complaints in the end and we left satisfied. You could tell this is very much a place for locals, but even with that said, if youre not a local to the Suffolk area and are passing by, craving some authentic Mexican cuisine, you should definitely consider giving this place a try!

3 is a gift to this restaurant. How they have business I will never know. There is 3 sit down Mexican Restaurants in a 3 miles radius and this is the worst one. I suggest going to Plaza Next to Taco bell or Santa Fe(The Best) on Godwin behind the 7-Eleven. This restaurant and Santa Fe are around the same price, though this one feels dirty, has horrible service and mediocre at best food. Plaza is a good overflow lot for Santa Fe if they ever get to busy, this place should just disappear.

I ate there for the first time on yesterday because I was treating someone for their birthday & I have always preferred Plaza Azteca but my guest said they love this place. I have to say that I truly enjoyed the food, the atmosphere during our lunchtime visit & our waiter was very nice, friendly & attentive, plus I was blessed to receive a military discount as a retiree. I will definitely be going back! Sonja P.

The food is fair, it use to be very good. The staff is very friendly, except for a few who expect large tips each time they serve you. The owner/manager is very rude when told of poor service. The cleanless is very poor. We saw roaches on our last visit. We have not returned. Poor service, management, and roaches are more than anyone would want.

Nice people working there. Friendly atmosphere. Im not a fan of Mexican food myself, but my wife is and says its very good. Good sized portions. White sauce is excellent. Go on Mondays between 6 and 8. Magic Dave performs at the tables. Take your kids to see him, theyll have a great time.
