Another restaurant located in Short Pump, another disappointment beyond measures. Without any further delay, here is my review... The Good: Taste- At such an elegant, upscale and classy restaurant such as Bonefish Grill, one can only expect that the food be fresh, never frozen and they are on point. I ordered the Grilled Salmon with two sides and I was not disappointed with the taste. The flavors and delicate texture of the fish were amazing, amost as amazing as the Pan Seared Salmon from Cinebistro. The Bad... Everything else: Location- My date and I went to this restaurant at 5:45pm on a Saturday night. Can someone say BIG MISTAKE? Short Pump during this time of the week is very busy and congested. Since there was no parking anywhere near the restaurant or side streets, we had to drive around one of the parking decks for 25 minutes to find an open space. Service/Hospitality- Upon entering the restaurant, there was an overflow of customers waiting to be seated. We put our names on the list and they said it would be a 20 minute wait. 20 minutes quickly turned into 35 minutes before the buzzer went off. We were then seated at a table and no server came by to greet us until 5+ minutes passed. After taking our orders, the server did not come back at all unti the food came out, which was roughly 25 minutes later. Portion Size- For as much as the Grilled Salmon entree costs, I was expecting to be full off of the meal, but as you can see in the pic posted, the portion size is big enough for a 13 year old child, but surely not for a growing man. Overall- Bonefish Grill has great food and may be considered a sophisticated eating establishment to some, but with this particular location, I would not recommend anyone eat here unless they truly had to. It tends to be overcrowded, the service is subpar and parking can be an issue. I have been to the Bonefish Grills in Chesterfield and Fredericksburg and they have not given me nearly as big of a headache as the one in Short Pump. FOUR STARS

I had a mixed experience when it comes to Bonefish Grill. My Mother, Uncle, Sister and I were celebrating my Sisters Graduation from High School, and wanted to try a new place in town. When we got there we were seated in a comfortable area near the window, and waited for the talkative waiters and waitresses to serve us. The travesty started when our first waiter an African-American man in his late 20s left his co-workers banter. He then to began to explain whats on the menu, but my sister wanted to inquiry him on whats in the food to avoid any allergic reactions. When my sister began to speak our waiter said this "just a minute, maam", and continued his description. When he left to get our drinks my Mother was furious at his disrespect towards her and lampooned the phrase "In just a minute, I could be seated at Kona Grill." My Mom then called the Manager who was very respectful and apologetic towards us, and made our waiter switch with an Asian-American man in his early 20s. If I could remember his name I would have certainly gave him props. He was respectful, haste, orderly, and a good conversationalist which changed our experience from bad to excellent. The first waiter returned to his bantering and we could tell from afar from body language that he was ranting about us. Thankfully, our current waiter noticed this and broke up the conversation. The first waiter began to wait customers of African descend which was surprising to me as an Afro-Caribbean myself. I would return if they disciplined their waiters and waitresses more.

My wife and I were headed home and noticed that Bonefish had opened a restaurant in the West End. Seeing as how we hadnt had Bang Bang Shrimp in close to a year and a half we thought, "hey, that can be dinner". We placed our order (Chicken Marsala, an order of Bang Bang Shrimp, and a slice of Key Lime Pie) at 4:40p. I actually thought we were doing pretty good, because they hadnt gotten that busy, and having seen how packed the one in Midlothian gets, I knew that if they werent yet, they soon would be. At 5:05, the bartender (we ordered at the bar) said our food would be ready in a couple more minutes. After 5 more minutes, I went up to check on it, and pay for the order.. I was told "they are putting the final touches on the marsala. 5 more minutes later, I really started getting annoyed... Oh I got apologies, and "a couple more minutes" but still no food. My wife got very frustrated, spoke with the manager, and got a refund. We F I N A L L Y got our food and were able to leave at 5:20. When we got home, the food was mediocre at best... The pie was the best part of the meal... This meal ended up being free (save the time I spent waiting for it) and I feel like I overpaid.

I had a fantastic meal and great service at Bonefish Grill. The previous reviews almost made me not go, but since I had a gift card, I figured what the heck. Thats why I was surprised that everything was great. The Bang Bang Shrimp ($5 on Wednesdays so that was a bonus) was delicious and not too spicy. We tried the Wagyu beef and ginger dumplings--very nice! We then split a king crab leg special and a wolf fish special. Apparently Wolf fish is only offered a short time every year. It had a lobster texture and mouth-feel, so that was beyond delicious. The only negative was the carrot side vegetable--it was not cooked evenly and too crunchy to finish. Good thing I had room to share some key lime pie and a free birthday brownie. Both had freshly made whipped cream so no Cool Whip or Reddi Whip nonsense on top. Because of the nasty carrots I give it a 9 out of 10. Dont know when, but Im headed back to try the kobe beef burger. YUM! And I dont know what a previous review was talking about the bad noise level. It was fine--unlike the Kona Grill right next door. Perhaps they were confused.

My family and I went to Bonefish Grill for Mothers Day, and it was horrible. First of all, Id just like to say that the Bang Bang Shrimp was delicious. Anyways, all of our meals got to the table at different times. My brothers meal arrived at the table, then 10-15 minutes would pass and my meal arrived. I ordered a hamburger and the middle/inside was still raw. Pink, it was pink/red. My moms food arrived at the table and it was cold. She asked our waiter, to reheat the food and once again another 15 minutes went by, and they finally brought her food. It was actually hot that time. They apologized, and offered us a free dessert. This time 20 minutes went by until they actually gave us the dessert. My whole family left very dissatisfied, and I dont think well go back anytime soon. It was a horrible experience, and I do not recommend Bonefish Grill.

I am reading what others have written and I cannot believe that this is the same place. We came to Bonefish Grill after church and were greeted and seated by a very nice gentleman. When we had to move because the ladies with me were a little cold due to being so close to the door, there was no problems. They immediately moved us and were very nice about it. We had a pleasant experience. I enjoyed the Rainbow Trout cooked to perfection as well as garlic mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli. My wife and mother-in-law shared the Atlantic Salmon, salad, and potatoes. Their meal was a delicious as mine. We will definitely come back here again! We received excellent friendly service and great food! They definitely earn Five Stars! I will also place this post on Facebook Review.
