Great food, BUT - - - - The service left much to be desired. We had a reservation for 5 and when we arrived they had totally blown the name and said we didnt have a reservation. I found it under a name that was close and recognizable. After we waited 30 minutes (WITH A RESERVATION) we were told we could be seated if we were OK with a booth and a chair on the end, hanging out in the isle. Why not? After we were seated, it took 15 minutes for our server to show up at the table and things went downhill from there. Food took forever to get to the table, the bar couldnt keep up and our server had a party of 12 she was handling alone, and didnt follow up with drink refillls and bar orders because "They were short of help". And that is our problem why? Again, GREAT food but they need to do a much better job of staffing to keep the chaos a minimum. I was visiting family in Lisle and will give this resturaunt 1 more chance when I return.

New location - service down the drain. Went to check new location as we enjoyed the old one very much. I got a table upstairs, which the hostess suggested and was waiting for wifey to show up. There was only 1 table taken in the 2nd floor. All others were empty. I was not offered a drink nor menu anything. No prob, they might have been busy downstairs or whatever. Suddenly, some dude in black t-shirt comes up and states "I cant have you sitting by this table yourself, you need to move to a smaller one." I followed the order from unidentified individual - no it was not a waiter. Bus boy perhaps? I did move. Once wife arrived, we went out to very good Mex place by Maple/53. That was my last visit there for sure. Such a pity, as this is the only restaurant in Lisle by Main St. Luckily, there is Naperville nearby. Apparently, decent manners arent their deal. "The Worst Episode Ever"

Sad to say its not very good any more. It used to be the best mexican restaurant around now the food quality has deteriorated, the portions are much smaller, the prices have risen and the service is very poor. Most of our friends who have been regulars for years are looking for alternatives. A staff member mentioned cut backs in staff and trying to increase traffic by getting patrons in and out faster which includes a new streamlined 1 page menu instead of the previous full menu. Lastly the atmosphere has gone from quaint (previous location next door) to a fast food look (current location) My rating has gone from 5 stars to 2 since the changes went into effect after the restaurant relocation and change in management style. Not terrible just disappointing. you can find better.

My first time here and I absolutely love this place!!! The food was delicious the service was excellent and the outdoor seating is just spectacular. We went during a car show and there was a band playing if you sit on the second level outside its a beautiful view to the band and all the Vintage and old cars. They were very accommodating and familiar with allergies they took extremely good care of us. We will be back for sure!!

Enjoying a meal at Yerbabuena Mexican Cuisine, 4732 Main St, Lisle, IL 60532 is always a great treat. The family that owns and operates the restaurant are always warm and welcoming. The staff and the food is awesome. Theyll be moving into a new space in downtown Lisle sometime this year 2016. If you want great Mexican food in Lisle stop in here for a nice sit down meal.

I routinely eat at Yerbabuena, It is comfortable and the staff is friendly and efficient. The food is the best Mexican style cuisine that I have ever eaten. The owner / operator is involved in day to day operations and will always take time to talk to his guests. I would not pass this up if you have a chance. Meals are typically $7-12 each.

Very Excellent Food, Drink & Service! Weve been regular customers for years. The new and expanded facility is even better - more seating for guests and outside 2nd deck tables. These folks have the BEST salsa and warm chips. The menu has too many great selections. You will be pleasantly surprised by this hidden treasure in downtown Lisle.

This was an awesome experience. The wait staff were extremely attentive, and we were never without chips / salsa, or drinks. The food was spectacular, with just the right amount of heat. The coconut shrimp was by far the best we have ever had. DO NOT PASS IT UP, as they are doing some work next door, and it is a little deceiving!

Visited the brand new renovated location early on a Saturday morning and was able to sit outside on a lovely day. Food was excellent Mexican fair with ample portions for the price. I tried the house margaritas and was blown away by the quality. They have an excellent selection of margaritas and tequila I would love to try.

The carnitas don Miguel are worthy to try. The tamale, salsa and chips are really good. Tried a jalepeno martini tonight. I like the customization. A bit expensive bring your wallet. Two take out meals and a margarita were $45. Friendly staff. Carries a variety of tequila and Johnnie Walker Black Label.

Family ate here on Thursday night. Very family friendly and food was delicious. Very fresh and service was excellent. Have struggled to find a good Mexican restaurant in the western suburbs and think we have finally found one. Look forward to returning in the near future.

Ate at Yerbabuena for the first time in the summer of 2012 and have been hooked ever since. Now I meet clients there all the time and have never been disappointed. Great authentic Mexican food, love the fish tacos and they will make fresh guacamoli right at the table.

Pros, colorful atmosphere, great service, fresh chips, and fresh salsa. Cons, rice has no taste, under cooked, hot sauce was not hot, and taco portions was way to small.. reminded me of dollar tacos with a pinch of rice and beans. Tacos al pastor. Over priced.

Food was delicious, but the service was horrible. Bar tenders could not make a lemon drop... Took 20 minutes for 3 straight shots of tequila and 1 lemon drop that tasted bad with no customers at the bar... CMON... anyone even average can do better than that!

It was good until they moved into their new place. Service was bad. Had to keep asking staff to order anything. They need the be trained what to do. Food was good just a little cold like it was standing out waiting for staff again.
