Rasoi has been open only for few months but its seemed that everyone was talking about it so R & I had to try it. They are hiring now because they are obviously under staffed! about 2 waiters only for the whole place. But the food makes up for everything, it really does! We shared the appetizer combo, 2 garlic naan (one is enough though), the tikka masala chicken, the lamb korma, the pulao rice and the Achar Pachranga. The appetizer combo was so tasty and its a nice way to taste a little of everything. The garlic naan was really good as a naan but you cant taste the garlic nor basil in it. But still a good naan. The chicken tikka masala is different than the usual one but the chicken was tender and the sauce even though different it was good. As for the lamb korma, oh my, oh my. Its spectacular. The tenderness of the lamb, the crunchiness of the nuts and that delicious buttery sauce makes this dish spectacular! Dip the lamb in that sauce and enjoy the heavenly taste. The rice was good and so was the achar parchranga. It was the first time both of us tried the achar parchanga, it was over salted but I think it is the way it should be (as it is pickled) we added small pieces into the food and it made it delicious! The food here really elevates the place. It can get a little stuffy, they definitely need more ventilation in the restaurant and it can get a little overcrowded in the bar area wich makes it hard to enter to the actual restaurant. Rasoi you will be seeing us again soon definitely!

Weve been huge fans of Aslams Rasoi in the Mission and in addition to the food, Asif was a huge part of the personality of that restaurant. He has a long list of fervent friends and fans of his cooking and its one reason Im so excited that hes opened this sister restaurant and closer to us in the South Bay. The indian food here is a delicious mix of Indian and Pakistani flavors, served pretty spicy (if you want it). A few of the dishes are especially great - the dum aloo is one of our regular staples here. And by regular, I do mean regular - we ended up at Rasoi three times in the first week that it was open. The ambience is clean and gorgeous - its a very open and well lit space - theres a skylight that really does a great job of making the whole restaurant feel airy. In a move that mirrors the original restaurant in SF, you can peer through the window into the kitchen and see the hustle and bustle as the chefs prepare the meals. For the quality and taste you get, the food is very reasonably priced but if youre expecting "cheap indian buffet", youll be disappointed. The bar is also pretty good at cocktails although I think they are still finding their voice. Both the bar staff and wait staff are super friendly though and if you ask for something particular, I have no doubt theyd happily oblige you.

Excellent Indian food, great service. Their clay oven is put to good use here. The Tandoori chicken comes out sizzling hot. The curries are all flavorful, intense and tasty. Has a full bar serving good cocktails, wine and beer. Reasonably priced comparatively speaking. Highly recommended. They take all major credit cards - AmEx, Master and Visa.

Best Indian food in the Bay Area. Never have been disappointed over the last 2 years of eating at this location and the other location on Valencia St. in San Francisco. Would have to recommend the Prawn Madras, Goat Cheese Naan, and any of the Lamb dishes. Amazing service, a great wine list and a fabulous atmosphere.

Asif leads a world class team at their new location. Quality food, amazing environment. You can sit at the bar and snack on some samosas, or sit and feast on some of the finest Indian food in Cali. And if you read my reviews on curry, youll know I only tend to review the best, and that I eat curry about 5 times a week!

Was skeptical about this Indian restaurant. It was quite modern inside and thought it wasnt very authentic. We read the reviews and thought wed give it a try. Ended up to be pretty good. I dont know what full authentic taste like, but the food was quite flavorable and tasty. I would go back.

Awesome place and great good... The locality is superb, very pleasant and peaceful... Service is great . The food is very fresh and tasty at a very reasonable prices. Would like to go there again. The only thing is the tables are a little smaller so you cant keep more items on it :).

I had been here earlier and service/ food was awesome. The next time I went with family, the service was severely retarded. Food quality was bad to the extent the food arrived an hour late and the staff was so very unapologetic to help us leave the restaurant without giving any tip!

Very good food, but be careful with the automatic 20% gratuity. I almost double tipped and service was average at best. The auto tip tainted an otherwise excellent meal. Edit: the owner quickly reached out to me to correct the error and kindly refund the automatic gratuity.

Ordered take out from here via Eat24 and when I showed up to get it they were closed for a private event and wouldnt fulfill the order. This restaurant should have stopped accepting orders on Eat24 if they couldnt fulfill them.

This place has a friendly staff and their food is good. We had the assorted appetizers, chicken tikka masala, karahi gosht, aloo gobi, garlic naan and pulao. Everything was good but our favorite was the gosht.

Food inspired by North Indian cuisine. Great food profile and menu selection for vegetarians and non alike. This place is relatively small so call in advance to make reservations on weekends and holidays.

Service was good, ambience was good. However, all of that is pointless if the food is mediocre. In total we had two entrées and five different sides. Everything tasted bald and too sweet. Never again

OMG soooooo good to be honest, love the tandoori chicken. Good for people that like Indian food because you get a lot of food on the plate. So if youre very hungry, this is a good place to eat.

Wee bit slow service for medium size group and not piping hot. Tandoori roti was not crisp khatak but soggy with oil Ambience good. Food is not authentic Indian nor Pakistani or Afghan :(

I loved the both the four and the ambiance inside. The actual candles on the table as another layer to its beauty. The service was pretty good too.
