Walking in the ambience was great and it was busy for a Tuesday night. We actually had a nice lounge area upstairs. The food was excellent; we enjoyed everything we had except for the shrimp & crab empanadas. We placed the order and it took a bit of time for them to come out. When they finally came we were told they ran out of pre-prepared ones and the chef had to make them from scratch. Bonus for making the extras to accommodate the order but what we received was more cheese empanada than crab & shrimp. Selection of wine was great too. When we were greeted by our waitress, Ashley, she informed us that Tuesdays are half off bottles night, score . . . until the check came! We were charged full price for our $40ish dollar bottles of wine. When we mentioned to our waitress that the discount wasn’t reflected she informed us that the discount only applies to bottles of wine that are priced $50 to $150. When we told her that none of our party heard her mention that and it would have been nice to know but wasn’t a big deal, she essentially insulted us. I can’t even explain her arrogant demeanor as she said she assumed we would order what we wanted regardless of price and that she definitely told us about the details. Granted we did order what we wanted but probably would have looked a little closer at a $50 dollar bottle of wine for $25 as opposed to a $45 dollar bottle of wine for full price. The real rub was there was no grace or apology for the misunderstanding. When we pushed a little more she said she would check with the manager but not to expect anything off the bill. The manager did discount one of the bottles. However, no apology from Ashley when she came back or that the manager took off such and such off, just dropped the check back off. Really! The manager also never came up to check on the situation and it was empty when we left as we shut the place down. He was sitting by the door chatting up a woman he had been talking to since we came in. The experience, food and wine was great until that all happened. Just ends an otherwise enjoyable evening on a sour note and an overall negative impression when leaving. So, overall, if you want a chill place to drink wine with good food this is it. Just make sure you understand if there are any specials, don’t sit in Ashley’s section, and don’t expect too much from the manager if needed.

It was a very cold wintry evening when we slipped into The Wine Loft to check out their offerings, and the evening started warming up the moment we sat down. The decor is definitely hip and modern with a style on par with an upscale hotel in a large city. Our server was also hip and stylish with a great friendly personality that made the experience even more pleasant. The food selections are geared towards light fare and complement the very good wine selection. There is a good portfolio of beer and a full bar, so dont be afraid to bring your non-wine-drinkers with you. The server was very willing to share her opinions of the wine choices, which in our minds is essential for any good wine bar. The wine choices themselves were solid, but not overwhelming and fairly steeply priced, but not so much that Bacchus wouldnt continue to smile down upon you from above the bar. Overall, were really looking forward to going back, maybe when its warmer and we can try out the patio.

Went there abut 2 weeks ago with my wife. Kind of friendly place. Was quite. I. Had some rib sliders, they were pretty tasty, but wAy too small for the price, I, could go to most BBQ places and get a 1/2 rack for the 3 tiny sliders I, got there. If size doesnt matter to you, and taste does, you should like it. I. Would definitely go there often if they gave a more acceptable portion. Today. July 13th I. Thought I would try here again with my wife. Went , 7:30 pm we, sat at a bar that is in the middle of the room , it took at least 5 minutes before the waitress even acknowledge we were there, and they werent even that busy. The bar tender had no one, you would think he might have said something. So after about 5 minutes waitress said she would be with us in a minute, we, waited a few more minutes, then my wife and I, gotvtitrfvof waiting and left. We, went band ate somewhere else where we were promptly greeted ,even though they were very busy.

Not good! I waited almost an hour for my lamb chop lollilops (which I love lamb chops). When I got them they were truly "chops" all hacked up and misformed. They were not seared, but seemingly steamed and were cooked well done! They lacked seasoning except for the overwhelming balsamic glaze! The flatbread had plastic in it (we were later told that the food processor broke off in the food). 80% of the food we ordered was sent back after taking an exorbitantly long time to arrive. The waitress was apathetic and flat; she never offered explanations for anything! The manager seemed offended that we sent our food back even though we tried to offer feedback. I am NEVER returning, at least not for food. Drinks were good and hot seafood dip was good and the water was good. Thats all.

I, wanted to describe my experience, when I went there with my wife the other day, but there was no experience. That was July 13 th intended to have a good time with some food,, went in there at 7:20 we, sat at a bar that they have in the middle, right at the first 2 seats. It had to take 5 , or 6 minutes before the waitress, even acknowledged are existence. She then said be with you in a minute., about 3 more minutes went by, we got tired of waiting, so we both decided to go elsewhere to eat, guess they didnt need are business. The bar tender was not at all busy, you would have thought he would have helped us. So, we went to another place nearby, they were very busy, but greeted us promptly with open arms..

Awful experience. Was visiting my niece in Richmond and thought it would be nice to have a glass of wine at this place. We got there an hour before closing and after being sold an overpriced bottle of wine, they began shutting the place down 30 minutes before closing, The lights go off, the music goes off....so we complain and they turned the music back on. The tune was "Hit the Road Jack!" Unbelievable! Im usually pretty generous with my Google reviews and ratings but this place earned their 1-star rating from me.

My husband and I went for the first time because we had a groupon. It was Saturday night so it was busy but we were able to quickly get an outside table which was perfect for us. We ordered the steak/blue cheese flat bread, the sliders, crab empanadas, and the lamb chops. I had a flight of Virginia wines and he had a beer. Everything was fabulous. I cant wait to go back!
