Wow! Just wow! My girlfriend and I were originally planning to go to a different restaurant yesterday evening but when we arrived at the other place they had a 1.5 hour wait so we decided to look elsewhere. We stumbled across Bizou and thought wed give it a try since they had two seats open at the bar and no wait. We were both thrilled that we did!! I love cooking myself so I was excited when I saw that the entire kitchen was behind the bar. Some places say they have an open kitchen when its really just the front part, but the fact that the entire kitchen was 100% open was really awesome in my opinion. We started off by sharing butternut squash soup, and then I had flounder with risotto and my girlfriend had sirloin strip steak with bacon wrapped asparagus. For dessert we shared the lemon crepes. Everything was delicious and the service was superb. Their bread was also fantastic and I am VERY picky when it comes to bread! Something that I liked too was that they offered a choice of butter or olive oil for the bread which is nice since most restaurants dont give you an option. The wine selection was also good. Total bill was $95 which was definitely a little on the pricey side, but Ill happily pay for quality food and service. I cant wait to go back!

This is a great option on Main Street if you want a nice (but not overly fancy) sit down meal. They have some very good Southern-style dishes - we really enjoyed the shrimp & grits, and the local trout was delicious as well. They also carry several local ciders, and I really enjoyed the grapefruit flavored cider. Prices are a little high, and portions were hit and miss (they gave us two huge pieces of trout, but the large shrimp & grits wasnt really enough for a whole meal). Overall Id recommend it here.

Not good. Very poor service. Host sat us, and after 15 minutes we told him, we hadnt seen a waiter. Again, our host (Christian), took our order. Food was mushy and not very tasty. Wifes drink (margarita cocktail) was so sour it burnt her tongue.Asked waiter for the check and after 20 minutes had to ask the host(thanks again, Christian) to take the card and run the bill. Unisex bathroom floor was covered in urine. Only good part of the experience was Christian.

Poor Service, on 09/06/2015. The Waiter had apparently just started and should probably find another way to earn money, as waiting tables does not seem to be his forte! Also a waitress who ran a few items for him to cover his incompetence had a very bitchy attitude after I requested a clean spoon for desert, and she returned with the same one I sent back. (Bad Move) Overall the food was fair but nothing to brag about.

My favorite restaurant in Cville. Has my kind of atmosphere which is warm and comfortable with acoustics that lend to good conversation while still having personality and atmosphere. Food is right in line with that whole comfort yet creative vibe. Typically a good variety of options on the menu so something to please any guest. My go-to spot with company. And you can eat outside when the weather is nice!

Wow. Best word to describe everything I ate and drank. They gladly sat us, even though they closed at 2 pm (it was 1:58) when we walked in. Not only was the food exceptional and made fresh, the service was terrific. The chef even shared a few of her recipes! Being vegan, its very difficult at times to find food designed to not include meat. They had a few vegan options and Im definitely going back!

Very rude! My friend goes in asking for change and they were extremely disrespectful to her. Simple question asked in the most polite way, just to have a rude response! Might I also mention she is gay and the person looked her up and down and said "and we will not make a exception for you :)" Never will eat here again and WILL tell my friends.

I have eaten at Bizou numerous times and felt I got excellent quality and value for my money. Unfortunately last night was an exception. Paying $24 for an entree of 4 medium to small scallops felt like a rip off. With all the great choices in CVille, Bizou better get its act together.

We typically like Bizou, but we showed up last Thursday with two other couples, with reservations, and found them closed because they were observing immigrant day. I have no issue with the closing, but they had our phone number and could have told us. Rude, poor form.

This is an all round favorite--great for client lunches, before a movie, or when family visits. Never disappointing. Considering the quality, the prices are reasonable...and their steak salad rocks!
