I ate at Fleurie back in 2010 during the snowmageddon and had a great time. The restaurant had around a dozen tables and a couple of booths. There was a bar in the corner, with numerous wine and champagne bottles all stacked up. Rows of glasses were lined up as well. The wine list has a variety of wine, champagne, and sparkling wine; wines can be requested by the glass or by the bottle. There were about 10 options for appetizers and main courses. I decided on a lobster bisque with tarragon for my appetizer and the salmon for my main course. The waitress recommended a Brancott Reserve Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand. The salmon came on top of potatoes and onions with chives. Both the soup and the salmon were very good. For dessert, I had the passion fruit gratin with a raspberry sauce. It was really good; passion fruit gratin is essentially a souffle except its cooked on the plate, not in a bowl like the traditional souffle. Great raspberry sauce complement. A quiet, intimate restaurant perfect for dates and special occasions.

Impeccable service, perfectly prepared food, and unpretentious atmosphere. The pre-theatre menu is a great option - first course, main course, and dessert for $36. The Scottish salmon was like butter......perfectly cooked. They did not have the skate wing available tonight, so now Ill have to go back. Oh well....I cant wait! Be sure to make reservations as they seem to be booked solid most nights. The bar does have five seats that might provide overflow seating for patrons without reservations. Ben was a great server - he made us feel very much at home even though we were at a very high end restaurant where service could have been stuffy. #agirlinfoodland

I went to Fleurie for a special occasion-type dinner and was disappointed. The food was quite good, but nothing particularly special for the price point (basically well executed and featuring great ingredients but nothing I had--I tasted 8 dishes--really made me say wow). The service on the other hand was absolutely terrible. Our waitress disappeared for looonnng periods, didnt bring drinks, etc... Also upsetting was the close of our evening which apexed when the host, after much fuss, admitted to losing a member of my groups jacket, got flustered, stood aside, and invited us to dig through everyone elses coats on our own. Very classy indeed.

Every single time I visit Fleurie Im impressed. Impressed by the food of course... It couldnt be better. But also impressed by the thoughtfulness of the staff, the dinnerware, the menu paper, everything! Fleurie is expensive... But it is also a huge value. Its worth every penny. I highly recommend two main things: 1) get the tasting menu paired with wine 2) ask questions The knowledge of the food and wine and the willingness of the staff to teach you about why what they have prepared for you is special, makes the experience that much more delightful.

This is perhaps the best French restaurant in Va. They need to have eight stars. Food is impeccably prepared and presented, and tastes exquisite. I had lobster bisque that was not over salty, like many Ive had, and was well balanced. Then I had herb encrusted sea bass on a bed of spinach and seasonal vegetables, that was perfect. Escoffier would be proud. Ive been cooking French style for decades and dinned in some of the finest French restaurants in NY, Chicago, DC, Dan Francisco and elsewhere and this is the best. You need to get here.

Very nice intimate French restaurant in the downtown mall. Wonderful food, attentive service. Cozy but the tables are not spaced too closely. One of Charlottesvilles better restaurants. Pretty theater menu available. Parking can be an issue at busy times. Ample portions especially for a French retaurant. The risotto with shrimp was amazing and the halibut was excellent

My husband and I just ate here last night and we both loved the food! We were there on a Wednesday night so there was no issue with waiting or slow service. The menu is not huge and the average entree price is $30, but if youre looking for a deliciously prepared dinner thats other than ordinary we highly recommend this place!

Best meal I have had in Charlottesville. Top notch from the moment we walked in the door. This is the place to go for that special date night or special occasion with a small group. The entire staff was very professional, knowledgeable and welcoming. Chef Matt has created AMAZING dishes. We will definitely be returning

I visited Fleurie on a busy Friday with a guest, and with constant "compliments from the chief" our palettes were continually stimulated and satisfied. The service was fantastic and consistent. Our dishes were elegant and well portioned. I recommend this restaurant.

By far the best dining experience in the city. Amazing menu and exceptional wine list but the service is on par with the best eateries in the world. Stop by at the bar for a creme brûlée and a glass of wine if youre not ready to book a table.
