My friends and I have had issues with this restaurant twice in the past week. Last Friday, we attempted to get in and the bouncer denied access to a member of our party because she was 22, apparently there was some new rule that you have to be 23 to get into this RESTAURANT. Meanwhile, clearly underage young white women flashed their fake IDs and gained entry with no issue. Last night, we tried again, this time without our 22 year old friend. This time, shockingly, there was no bouncer and seemingly no 23 age requirement. We were seated, our waiter took our drink orders and asked for ID, no issue. The friends that I was with both have out of state IDs because even though theyve grown up in RVC and spent their whole lives here, theyve recently moved out of state AS PEOPLE DO. So they showed their VALID out of state IDs (both over 30 year old black women), and the waiter asks for ANOTHER form of ID, WHAT?! So Cabo expects people who have moved out of state to carry around their passports in order to get a margarita, that makes a lot of sense. The most interesting part is that these were the SAME IDs that they used to get into Cabo exactly a week before, when our 22 year old friend was denied entry. (Also, Wednesday of this week they went to Cabos happy hour and got drinks with these very same IDs, I was not present). So we were forced to get up and walk out of the restaurant after being seated, as if we had done something wrong. Cabo needs some CONSISTENCY in their rules for entry. Apparently their rules change from day to day and week to week. Maybe their rules are designed to keep certain people out of the establishment on Fridays nights, I cant tell. I suggest just posting your evolving rules outside so that we dont waste time, not that we would ever try to step foot in here again.

My friends and I went to this restaraunt because it was reccomended to us. Upon entering, it looked like a nice place and there was a really great aroma in the air so i was very excited to try the food. Our waiter, Chris, took his sweet time coming to the table to take our drink order. He didnt seem knowlegable about any of the drinks, nor did he have any reccomendations. (he also didnt bother to ID us) We didnt get any chips and salsa until after the fourth time we asked for it, although we had to ask the food runner for it because our server was nowhere to be found. The salsa was good but the chips were cold and stale. I ordered a taco salad with brisket with no guac. It was brought to me with guac, as well as someone else in my partys order being wrong. When the food was brought back by our server he immediatly blamed the kitchen which I would believe if only one of the orders were wrong. If it was entered in the computer properly its also something the the expo would (or should) have noticed. The food was tasty. I dont have many complaints in that area aside from the fact that the tortilla bowl that came with my salad was completely soggy and off putting. Our server only came to check on us once when we were done eating and then we had to wait another 30 mins for the check to come. It wasnt even busy. I was observing our server talking in the back of the restaraunt with other coworkers through out the dining experience while we became increaslingly displeased. For a dining experience i was very exited to try, it was extremely dissapointing. I dont think Ill ever try this place again. Such a shame.

Went out with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday and it was a terrible experience from start to finish. The bartender had a terrible attitude - it started when she made the wrong drink. When I questioned what it was she had a very harsh way of explaining it as if I had no common sense. I brushed it off and paid and drank it anyway. At least I attempted to; when the rest of our party arrived and moved from the bar to our table she whisked the drink off the bar and dumped it. She noticed I was reaching for it and asked if I wanted it. Yet again I brushed it off and let it go. This lovely bartender returns again only this time she harshly plants the new drink on the table and walks away with out saying a word. At this point Im livid and we didnt even order food yet. Now our waitress was nice at first but I assume she didnt care to partake in the fun our table was having even though we included her in it. She left us alone for quite a while before taking our orders. She mustve been annoyed with our questions and basically told us to get our thoughts together and shell come back and take our order. Rude. Another 10-15 min later she returns with her attitude and finally takes our order. Ive never experienced such terrible service and mediocre food in my life. Needless to say Cabos staff is deserving of a negative review - they earned it.

Took forever to get initial service after seated. We nearly left and later wish we had. They acted like it was a hassle to keep the chips and salsa coming. We sat in the bar area to watch the football game. Then here comes the trio of players/singers. They could not shout their music any louder. They need to learn "Less is More" as they were totally annoying to us and others. They finally retreated to the dining area were they belonged. Then our food arrives.... We ordered a steak dish... I swear there wasnt more than a couple ounces of meat in the dish. For the money we paid there should have been a minimum of 6 times as much steak. The tortillas were cold and insisted they be warm for our meal. Got the look like I was being picky. I mean grief man... the dollars they charge and to give out so little in terms of food and service. We will never be back and that is sure.

The bartenders were incredibly rude, ruined what could have been a great experience. Female bartender gave you a look as if it were appalling you would even ask her for a drink with an attitude to match. The male bartender put his finger in my face as I asked "when you get a chance can I please have a glass of water?" I am never one to not tip for service no matter how bad it is but after generously tipping at the start of the night, despite the attitude, I felt it was no longer deserved after I got a finger in my face to "shut me up." This isnt the first time Ive been here where the bartenders treated you as though you were a burden when asking for drink. Will not be returning which is unfortunate bc theres a fun vibe there which is why I even gave 2 stars.

Let me start off by saying that the mixed/frozen drinks are strong, they are a bit expensive but the alcohol content makes up for it. The service is awesome and the food delicious. We got the table side guac which is a good experience, the guac is made right by you and you can modify it based on your taste i.e. more lime, more salt, more peppers. We also shared a fajita which came out steaming hot! The steak and grilled chicken was delicious in the fajita with the mixins. I was here on a Saturday night and a live band was playing outside which was awesome. After dinner we went out to see the group. They played all sorts of music from Bob Marley to current music. I would definitely come back for the ambiance and the service.
