Mithaas is considered to be one of the best eateries in New Jersey, well, not this one. Even after multiple bad experiences in past, I thought of giving it a chance again in the hope that there taste might have improved. But today was the last nail in the coffin. We had ordered many food items, review of some items below - Amritsari thali - Awful sabjis, half baked Kulchas Mysore masala dosa - an insult to dosa, sambar was like daal tadka Baadshahi Falooda - Please rename it to Garibi falooda. All the key ingredients of falooda were missing. Hakka Noodles - Only item we found decent enough to eat The staff is polite and ambiance is decent but if taste is so pathetic it defeats the hospitality factor. PS: If you order the food for carryout, please check the items there itself. Happened with me twice that they forgot to include some items. Since I live closer to this location, I was able to go there and get the missing items.

We ordered Dabeli, Onion kachoris and some sweets -- All pathetic.. Let me elaborate. Kachoris and Dabeli were not at all hot, Dabeli were not grilled and even sweets were pretty old and not fresh (can be seen when the top portion of the sweet is hard and not soft... Additionally for 2 kachoris, 2 Dabeli and 5 un-fresh sweets for $25... not worth it at all for such price. To top it of, when i called them to report this problem, the lady on the phone told me that "Sure Sir, we will give you better ones next time" :-) .. looks like they have better ones hidden and give rotten ones to the cutomers :)

It took 28 minutes to prepare one order of vada pav. This was on a non-holiday Thursday at 4:36pm and there were only 2 customers (who were finishing their meals...so no new food order). While I was sitting there, I also see the manager tell an employee to spray air freshener around the restaurant...he sprays it in the air going to straight on the kachoris sitting at the chaat area...2 min later the manager did ask the kachoris to be removed. They were taken to the kitchen (and I hope thrown out). Very disappointing service.

Service was good. Food was good not great. I tried a thali on a friday lunch buffet and it was ok, i was not entirely satisfied (especially the pakora curry was extremely sour). I am also trying to compare it with Chand Palace a near by vegetarian north indian restaturant and found Mithaas on an expensive side with limited options. I will by all means prefer Chand Palace, having said that Mithaas (fast food type place) does have lot of food varieties compared to Chand Palace so you may want to try something else.

I had been to stelton road mithaas to take moti churu ladoo. when i asked for taste staff gave me a pinch to taste , i did not get feeling to taste. as if she is giving for sake. they should have kept for sample . since its new shop. we are there to buy some thing. but not to taste what ever they have kept for sale. very penny pjncher. bad experience at first impress. would love to buy in edison mithaas but never here.they atleast give sample before we ask ......

Went on a Sunday. Food is good. But as someone else pointed out, service is bad. Had to request twice and convince the waitress to give me a proper table when the restaurant was totally empty..and then she gave me grumpy looks. But when I went to the counter to make payment, the same waitress was in all smiles, and expected a tip...LOL... Indian restaurant..so gave me a taste of grumpy Indian hospitality...

Placed an order though grubhub. They never filled my order, tried to blame for it, then tried to blame grubhub, then tried to tell me their driver was lost. Basically they bitched and tried to blame anyone they could. Then told me they wouldnt be delivering my food. Had to get a refund through grubhub. These guys are useless... if you like customer service then avoid this place at all costs.

Food quality was really BAD at newly opened MITHAAS Stelton road Piscataway franchise. I have been to MITHAAS Oak tree road many times and really liked the food. Believing that the same quality will also be served I went there (1357 Stelton Rd, Piscataway Township, NJ 08854), ordered a masala dosa and mithaas special thali and sorry to say but the food quality was really very bad .

Excellent , Excellent , Excellent food at this location and super excellent customer service from Tarun , Shweta and Gobind. Taste is same since the inauguration. I have used their tray menu and that was amazing. Cant say enough good things about this place. Everyone should Mithaas thali at this location at least once in their NJ visit.

I went here with my friend who was visiting from India. We ordered grilled sandwich and hakka noodles. Noodles are my all time favorite and they made it really good as well. Sandwich was so so delicious. I really liked this place. Just one thing its very crowded and noisy that you cant listen what the next person is talking to u about.

Been here couple of times..not going here another time.. This place serves disgusting Indian sweets, they are stale / old smelling bad. Never ask them if the sweets are fresh..no matter what the answer is yes and the sweets are stale. I didnt have problem eating other food like south indian idli dosa etc ..Just their sweets are stale

Average food, horrible service. Went to a buffet, had to ask for Naan 4-5 of times. Then needed another Naan, it took them 10+ minutes to bring one after requesting it 5 times. On top of it, it was shock to see that i got charged for a kids buffet for my 3 year old who just had pieces of couple of carrots.

Taste was ok but service is very slow. Once for a take out, they took order of daal kachori, but after that they might have ran out of that item and filled with another similar item aloo kachori without letting us know. We realized that once we took the first bite at home, by that time the store was closed!

The service here was excellent along with the food. It was served very fast but did not let that ruin the taste. The variety of options wrote also very good, as anyone could find something that they like on the menu. The inside of the restaurant and the bathrooms were very clean and well maintained.

Standard indian fare. Not sure if it was a communication breakdown but I got billed for more than what I ordered. And got what I did not want in the first place too. All in all I would go there again and surely would recommend. Keep an eye on what you order though.

This place has good Indian chats !! Definitely a place to go !! We go here often and their gulab jamun and chana dal sweet is really good but Chans daal I think is over priced. I m not a big fan of thaalis there but kachori and dosa is really good! Must go place !!
