Asian potato has the most terrible food I have ever had. I have eaten there twice, same location, both times delivery. The first time the food was awful... but I figured it was just what i ordered. This time I ordered Beef and Brocolli and Chicken Lettuce wraps... both favorites of mine which I have had times and at many many different restaurants. Their lettuce wraps and beef and broccoli were horrible. So since I only ate a few bites from both, I decided to call and speak with a manager about this, I mean I did spend 23.00 dollars on two entrees with no sides. He told me that they are popular items and I probably am just used to Panda Express Beef and Broccoli and that there is nothing wrong with theirs. Well ok... I dont eat Panda express so that made no sense where that came from. He was a total jerk, and told me I was making up crap and was trying to get something out of it. I said no I never complain. I have just been disgusted for the second time on different menu items and I dont care to get anything I just wanted to let them know. Well he acted like I was the meanest person in the world... but I was just upset I paid 23 bucks for crap. Well he said hed send me a gift card to get other stuff. Which doesnt help since their food sucks. BOO Asian Potato your food and service sucks.

First I would like to say that I think they have had the best Chinese food Ive tried in a while. Just not today. Im a delivery customer, and today my food was mostly ruined because I was not given the proper condiments with my order or my drinks. Now, I do understand that we are all human but I paid $20 today just to have half of my food go cold before I could eat it. So instead of freaking out on someone I kindly asked for a credit for another day (I was in food for a long time, its not a big deal considering food markup is 300% or more). Instead of what I thought was a reasonable request I had Bill tell me (offended of course, and apparently he is in charge) that they try their hardest and gawked at my request. Instead giving me a $5 credit (not really enough to get me to come back). So I decided to let everyone know, if you dont get what you ordered the first time you should save yourself the time and just send them away and take nothing (that way you dont get ripped off). ALSO, their 3 mile delivery range is based on road travel not a radial distance.

Pad Thai has a lot of variations. When I find one that I love, I stick to ordering it whenever I go to that restaurant. Asian Potato uses chili sauce (?) in their pad Thai, and yes, it is different, perhaps a little too oily for my tastes. It was definitely a rich dish, so I was glad I shared with my sister. What I do love here, is the Thai curry. I ordered the Panang curry from the Thai menu and give it a 5 star review. I thought it was the perfect consistency, not too watery and not too thick. Flavor was great (they dont skimp on spices). The tofu was some of the best Ive had in curry. I have to give Asian Potato a review because it is definitely underrated. The price seems lower than other similar restaurants by 1-2 dollars per menu item. The servers were great, and the food comes out fast! Twice I have shared a meal here and it was perfect. The other time I had a lunch special that was a Chinese stir-fry. The veggies were cooked to perfection and it was delish. I would go back and order something I havent tried.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!! DO NOT ORDER FROM ASIAN POTATO!!! FOOD SUBPAR @ BEST!!! ASIAN STAR IN MIDVALE is 10 Xs better!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE & LATE DELIVERY Management needs to take a lesson in business & Customer Service! DRIVE TO ASIAN STAR IN MIDVALE - Last delivery order showed up late, had to feed kids cereal & put them to bed. Was so upset by the time food arrived we didnt tip the driver. Have a headache, just called to place quick delivery order & was told management had blocked us because we didnt tip the driver on our last order? What?!!! Word of advice to Management - Bad word of mouth advertising is THE MOST EXPENSIVE advertising! Tips are EARNED for EXCELLENT SERVICE - NO ONE IS ENTITLED to TIPS just because an order is delivered. Word of advice to the Public-drive to Asian Star in Midvale-def worth the 5 minute drive

I appreciate that they offer "gluten free" items, however, if you cook something that is gluten free, in the same wok where you just cooked something with soy sauce (which contains wheat), then you are now contaminating your "gluten free" dish with wheat gluten. The same goes for deep fried foods. If you fry something that is is coated in gluten-free rice flour, in a deep fryer where other things were coated with wheat flour or that had soy sauce in the mix, then you have now contaminated your "gluten free" item with wheat gluten. This restaurant does not state that they use a new, clean wok and utensils to prepare their gluten free foods, therefore their items can not truly be guaranteed as gluten free. People with Celiac disease or gluten sensitivity must be aware of this.

Im not exactly sure where all the people that said it was great food were eating, but it wasnt Asian Potato. Wow where to start. Potstickers were atrocious, tasted microwaved. Thai chicken fried rice was so dry and bland that I ended up throwing more than half of it away. Massaman was so watered down and WAY too sweet. I had asked for no veggies only peanuts and potatoes, got watery soup with some chicken. Even though they serve styles of potatoes they wouldnt put them in, and completely forgot to put peanuts in. NONE of the things we requested during the online ordering were done. The Kung Pow beef was 99% veggies, almost no beef at all. Sweet and sour chicken was one of the worst ive ever had. Tasted like the oil they fried it in was a century old. Id steer clear

My fiance and I keep coming back. This place is perfect for us because he likes Thai food and I like Chinese. This little place has both. We have both enjoyed most of the food we have ore dedicated there. Its also nice that at the moment, you can get free cream cheese wontons with each meal. All you have to do is take a picture of an ad up at the font desk and post it to Facebook. You must also like their Facebook page as well. A small price for delicious wontons. We will continue to keep coming back. Our favorites so far are yellow curry and the chicken fried brown rice.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Asian Potato. It is true carry out and delivery are not as good, but anytime you put hot food in a Styrofoam container it will get soggy.... I highly recommend dining in, the servers are all very nice, the place is super clean and the food is to DIE FOR!!! Our favorites are the Ham Fried Rice, the Sesame Chicken, the Egg Rolls and the Sweet and Sour Chicken, but we have yet to try something we did not like! This is our new favorite place to eat out, and we have been there nearly a dozen times, we have never left disappointed!!
