Honestly we usually pass on "farm to table" restaurants, but this one was an exception. As a matter of fact it was EXCEPTIONAL! The decor is modern and upscale. The tables are far enough apart to feel like its just the two of you. The service was excellent! But the highlight was the food. While farm to table gets overdone with "quaint creations", here it was more that the obvious farm items were an accent that tasted great. I had the Crab Bisque and for my entrée Scallops. I didnt expect those on the menu and both are favorites that I have dined on around the world. These were some of the best I have enjoyed. And in both cases the sides were farm fresh and complimented the main items. We now have this restaurant on our favorites list for returns to the area. The only minor points that ever so slightly lowered our opinion were: in fine dining atmosphere one doesn’t have multiple TVs playing basketball where customers are trying to enjoy a relaxing evening. Also, while the decor is lovely, the dining chairs are a little firm.

I would give it a 3.5 if that option was available. Decent restaurant but prices are too high for what you receive in my opinion. There are restaurants in Milton, Roswell, and the Avalon that are priced the same whose food tastes a lot better, have more creative drinks, and provide bread service with the meal. We chose to give Secreto a try due to its location but next time will just travel a little bit for a better experience. The wine list by the glass was small and did not have the red Zinfandel nor Riesling that we typically order. We had the pork chop and the hanger steak which both tasted good and were seasoned well. The side dish portions seemed small. The grit melt cakes seemed to taste mostly if cheddar and the fried crust. They tasted best cutting them in half, eating the insides while leaving the crust. The truffle sweet potatoes purée was mostly decoration and not enough to be a fulfilling side dish.

The people are fantastic here. Ive rarely been treated so well. Three stars just for the friendly staff. One more star for the excellent food. Even though it wasnt quite what I set out to find, I was looking for a place with traditional southern fried chicken. The fried chicken here is far from traditional but I have no regrets. The soup of the day suggested by Carlos, my server, was excellent. The place has a unique look and is clean and bright. Could have been five stars but for the prices. One person, soup, entre and 2 beers came to $45 plus tip. Again no regrets as I fully enjoyed it but thats just a little high to make it a regular stop. There is a concerted effort by all to up sell you. Not that there is anything wrong with that, its their job and it wasnt done in a particularly annoying way as some places do. Overall Id recommend it, just be prepared for the sticker shock at the end.

Chef Boyds menu is full of awesome bites and inventive combinations of flavors. We had the bang bang shrimp, lamb belly, meat and cheese platter, and shared the crab cakes and hanger steak. The bang bang shrimp are a must if you enjoy the spicy sweet play. The peanuts added reminded me of pad Thai flavors. Great starter. The lamb belly may have been the star of the night. Spice crusted and melt in your mouth. Wow, that will be a regular everytime we go back. The meat and cheese plate was one of the best I have had. His crab cakes and steak were exactly what we were looking for in a meal that was quality and well priced. The ambiance and service staff were a huge part of why we enjoyed our experience so much. Thank you Secreto for a date night that my wife and I will not soon forget. Do yourself a favor and pay this place a visit before it is too booked to find a table.

It always surprises me how a good interior designer can turn a strip center space into a contemporary, hip, happening, and comfortable environment. That’s the bustling atmosphere here. The bar and food servers are both top notch pros -- Emily and Jason. Their wine pairing suggestions are excellent. This is our first visit so we tend to go with the most popular selections. The lamb belly was unusual and exceptional. The scallops were awesome. The carrot cake needed a little more frosting for my taste. The fried chicken is voted the best dish of the evening. Kind of like Tuscaloosa meets Paris. Chef Boyd is very talented and we look forward to returning. This place will not be a “secret” for long.

This place rocks. The food is absolutely amazing. Portion size is better than most. We shared four entrees. Fried Chicken, Pork chops, salmon and scallops. Every dish prepared exceeded our expectation. We ended the night with the carrot cake and boy let me tell ya! That carrot cake will make you go crazy. The ambience is nice, the people are friendly and Ive already told you the food is STUPID GOOD! Sebastian took care of us at the table and Paulo (co-owner) really made our experience worthwhile. We happened to stumble upon this place and what a diamond in the rough. You should definitely go check it out. Tell em Drew sent ya! ~Drew✌

So, I have been here so often that at times I get embarrassed. The food is consistently great, service is quick, and everyone is polite. I take business and social lunches here about once a week, their menu is memorized, and I have never had 1 complaint! Today brussel sprouts were missing from my plate and magically they appeared 5 minutes later. I barely had enough time to notice something was wrong. Thats literally the ONLY thing that has ever happened. 2 thumbs up. If you go, get the fried green tomatoes. They are so good you may have to eat them with your eyes closed.

The food is absolutely amazing! Each bite had to be savored. The flavors were incredible in each and every item. I had the fried green tomato appetizer, fried chicken, mashed potatoes with collard greens as my entree. Everything was seasoned to perfection! The ambience is great, perfect for date night and chef is a pleasure to chat with as he comes around and checks on you making sure you enjoyed your meal. I highly recommend this place. My family and I will definetly be back.

Every food I have tried here has been extraordinary. The lamb belly may have been the best, but the portions were small. They did not skimp on the shrimp and grits or the fried chicken, though. Was pleased that the shrimp were de-tailed, as thats always annoying to deal with on other versions. Service was fast and friendly, the environment was great and there was plenty of parking, whatever, but the star is the FOOD. There were flavor combinations I hadnt tasted before.
