We walked in tonight to celebrate our anniversary and just had the most awkward experience. All of the employees kept making eye contact with us and walking passed us, but no one would actually acknowledge us. So after several minutes of just standing there and feeling incredibly awkward, we turned to leave. Finally someone approached us. We said, "Can we get a table?" The guy asked if we had a reservation. We were confused, so we asked, "No, do we need a reservation?" The guy didnt answer. He went and grabbed another guy. The other guy grabs the notebook. "We arent on a list. Do we need a reservation to eat here?" Still no direct answer. Instead he goes, "Ummm, uhhh, hold on." Another guy comes out and says, "Sorry, we cant... but do you want our phone number?" Im like, "So is this a reservation-only restaurant or not??" FINALLY, the guy says, "Yes, it is." Wow, all they had to do was tell us right away that they are reservation-only. They should at least have a sign out front or put it on this FB page or SOMETHING so people dont have to waste their time. This isnt an upscale place - its a tiny space in a strip mall. We had no idea you had to have a reservation to eat there, obviously, since there were several tables open. It made us feel completely awkward and everyone in the restaurant was just staring at us. We drove all the way across the valley to go to this place for our anniversary and it was totally ruined. I had heard this place was good and saw positive reviews, thats why we wanted to try it, but with that type of awkward/rude service we definitely wont go back.

I heard about this place and looked it up before going. Theres nothing anywhere that tells you its reservation only. Just that it might be a long wait. So I took my brother on a Wednesday night, expecting to have a little wait. After standing next to the "wait to be seated" sign for about 10minutes, being ignored, in spite of wait staff all over, i finally walked up to one and asked how to get on a wait list. He didnt know how to answer and sent me to another guy, who told me theyre too busy. There were several empty tables and not many people waiting. I asked about getting on a list and He told me they might fit us in an hour, but wed have to come back. I asked to get my name on a list again, so not to lose my place in line, and he refused. Telling me theres no list, in spite of the list he was holding. I Asked about taking food to go, which he agreed to, but by then were so put off by the atmosphere and plain rudeness we decided on Mazza instead. Attitude goes a long way. They were not helpful or friendly, no sorry, no trying to help us with reservations for another night. I actually felt like I was bothering them. No food is worth bad service. Their are plenty of great places to eat in SL, who are nice.

Short version: Get a reservation ahead of time, and dont go with kids. Extremely snooty for a strip mall eatery. Never tried the food, but it has to be amazing for people to put up with everything else. Walked in but couldnt get attention from any employees. Eventually told it was a 20-30 minute wait, so we say well wait and take a seat. After 10 minutes they ask if were sure we want to wait, so I confirm its another 10-20 minutes and they say yes. 3 or 4 other families go through the same process and the waiting area is full. After 40 minutes we ask a different employee for an update and were told that theres a 24-person reservation that night, so no one else will be seated for hours. Employees have apparently been talking about why were waiting, but no one told us. No kids menu, but they say theyll make smaller portions on request. Seems to be no policy on how those portions get priced. Other people with kids seemed to be struggling - the tables, etc. are definitely not setup with kids in mind.

Great authentic Italian food. We had several people recommend this place and decided to try it for dinner. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. I ordered the four cheese gnocchi, my girlfriend ordered the ravioli, and her mom ordered the filet mignon. All dishes were very high quality and the presentation was not something I expected for a place this small located in a grocery store strip mall. It was obvious a true chef prepared this. The staff was attentive a friendly and the owner came out and made sure we enjoyed everything, and was extremely friendly. They are expanding to the store next to them which will give them more seating which they really needed. For now if you want to eat outside you cant order alcohol. Its not a true sectioned off patio, just some tables set out in front of the entrance, but inside you can. We loved it, and will definitely be back.

Soooooooo disappointed - I called 13 times after 11 am to make reservations (couldnt leave a message because their phone is not set up) and finally they answered and said they were full. I asked if I could get take out, they said sure. I ordered 3 Pasta Fettuccine with Lobster and Shrimp and 3 Caesar salads for $115. When I opened the boxes at home, yes, the 3 salads were large, but it was chopped romaine, a few stale croutons, a shaving of Parmesan cheese and olive oil & garlic for dressing. The pasta did not even fill the take out container, had 1 shrimp and a few itsy-bitsy grated pieces of lobster in the dollop of sauce. There was no flavor or seasoning. I have been calling this morning to complain, but they do not answer their phone. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO disappointed. Overpriced! Poor bland food! Poor Service! My first and last. Will not try again.

I was shopping next door and was curious to see the new Italian restaurant/bakery. So I stopped in to see if they had any bread and to peak at the menu. The baker was just forming the dough into loaves/baguettes and they looked promising as well as the wood fire oven. They told me I could come back later and buy one if I wanted. Which I did and was extremely impressed with the quality, texture, flavor and chewiness of this wonderful bread! Its the best Ive tasted in Utah. It is obvious that this restaurant aims for food perfection. Cant wait to go for dinner soon.

We did not have a reservation, but were seated quickly. The server forgot to bring my order, and only the hostess, Nicole, spoke to me. We waited over 30 minutes for our food. Nicole took our order and passed it on to the server. When I told him what I had ordered, he said "Ill find it and bring it to you". No apology... And he didnt even ask if we wanted a drink. When we were ready to pay, suddenly 3 people were there to help. Each addressed, very deliberately it seemed, only my husband. The saving grace is that the food is FANTASTIC. I, however, will not be back.

What a wonderful restaurant. Having traveled quite a bit in Italy, Lived in Chicago, LA and Phoenix/ Scottsdale... This place is absolutely top notch in its cuisine and service. Thank You Giuseppe..we love you already like family. We had a large group of 17 people and the service was nothing short of spectacular. We ate family style sampling close to half the menu and every bite of every dish was "delizioso". Highly recommend as one of the best, if not the best restaurant in the entire Salt Lake area.
