These cupcakes are not for the dieter, the diabetic, or anyone afraid of the real ingredients of a real cupcake, yes this includes mountains of frosting. They are pricey, more than youd typically pay for a regular grocery store cupcake. These are gourmet and every bite is marvelous, the frosting is decadent and creamy. For me, one of these is really to big but they have smaller ones they call "baby cakes" which is more my size. I feel like Im tackling a cupcake mountain when I try to eat one of these, they are messy. However after you are covered in moist cake crumbs and delicious frosting you will understand my plight, I never come out of there with just one... Try it thats really all I can say because once you go Bubblecake you cant go back!

I never write reviews, but I feel it necessary if only for myself, to write one now. I have been here twice and both times the customer service was spot on. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and patient. I am not a hard to please person but I do work in the hospitality industry. So I know no matter how good your product may be, if you dont have the people with the right attitude representing you it can put a damper on things. It was a refreshing experience . Plus those salted caramel cookies were everything! Next time Ill buy enough to share, maybe. lol.

To the best of my knowledge, these are the greatest cupcakes on the planet. I lived in Roanoke for a brief period and have spent the last few intervening years searching for their equal, to no avail. Ive tried cupcakes in NYC, Dallas, Baltimore, DC, LA, and even New Zealand and Australia, but continue to be disappointed. The icing to cake ratio at Bubblecake is higher than most, which is part of why they are so good, but also the flavors are original and exciting. You wont be disappointed.

I love Bubblecake. Owners Rob and Lisa Lusk have one of the absolute best local businesses in town. The store is gorgeous and full of lovely colorful details. They have bulk candy for sale and I smile every time I see it. There are so many lovely flavors to choose from. I love the Strawberry Fields and the Black and White. We use them for catering and are never disappointed. A little piece of Heaven on Earth.

Amazing in everyway!!! My first time in there,few days before Christmas... Upon entering the aroma made me hungryyy...then looking up at display case was so heavenly, it was really busy,yet staff were very pleasant,patient , & told me about a couple of cupcakes as I was having hard time deciding...boxed very nicley! My taste for cupcakes will forever be with Magpies in Knoxville, TN. But these are still pretty good. The cake is a little too airy for my tastes, and there is too much icing. I did enjoy the flavors, and the cupcakes themselves are beautiful. This place is the best in town that Ive found in Roanoke.

My favorite sweet treat by far! The cakes are moist and flavorful, the icing is amazing, and I love the flavor combinations. If you arent an icing fan, they may not be as good to you, but I love it! Enjoyed each one Ive tried but the berry ones (different combos) have been my favorites.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! The shop is very nicely decorated and the staff is super friendly. The cupcakes are TO DIE FOR. The cake and the icing always work wonderfully together. The cupcakes are too expensive, and they also have cakes and cookies too. GO HERE! Youll love it

The staff was very friendly and helpful!!! They young lady behind the counter was very patient explaining all of the flavors to me. I got the ginger cupcake with peach icing and fresh blackberries. It was fantastic!! I would recommend this store to anyone!

While the cupcakes looked amazing, most of the cakes werent THAT moist. The whipped icing tasted like whipped Crisco. Chocolate icing and white/vanilla icing tasted like it was out of a can. Im sure its not made in-house, rather, bought from food service.

I wish the snickers cupcake had a different filling that wasnt peanut butter flavor sine there was peanuts on top of cupcake. The coconut cupcake was yummie and moist.

Too expensive for Roanoke. Ive had cheaper and better cupcakes at DC cupcakes! I have also heard bad things about the people running it from their employees.
