This review is mixed. I liked the food, but I hated the wait. We didnt go here until at least 1 month after opening (thinking the lines would have died down) and we still waited about 50 minutes to get our food. There was no room to sit down since seating capacity is only like 30-40 and there were at least 70 people in the restaurant and another 15-20 sitting on the curb outside in the sweltering heat. Good thing the fire marshal didnt stop by. While we waited, one (larger) lady even complained to the manager that she was going to pass out (and she was noticeably pale and extremely sweaty) so the manager brought out a bag of ice for her. We ordered the shrimp and the chicken fingers. I would have been satisfied with the food if I only waited a typical 5-10 minutes, but we only had 20 minutes to wait so I was upset that it took 50 minutes to receive our order. And I noticed that about 20 minutes into our wait the servers taking orders at the counter started asking customers "it will be a 20-30 minute wait, is that ok?" Why didnt they ask me? And why were they off on their estimates by 30 minutes anyway? On top of the wait, we finally received our order and I started walking out when I realized my bag was a little light. I looked in and I was missing half the order. So another 8 minutes and they got the rest of my order. Obviously they still have some kinks to work out. Ill come back in a year when the lines have died down. Its not worth a long wait for that food. And its not really that much better than KFC. So I wouldnt drive out of my way for the food.

This by far is my favorite fast food chicken. The service here is outstanding. I usually do the drive thru but my wife and I went inside the other day and we were blown away by the customer service (a rarity in fast food). There are some reviews on here complaining about the honey sauce and telling people to go to KFC because its cheaper. First off, Im not coming to Popeyes for honey or the illusion of honey. If youre that stuck on whether its honey or honey sauce, go find yourself a farmers market and get some real honey. They dont promise real honey, or are they even know for their honey, so why this is an issue is beyond me. Secondly, the deals you can get here are amazing, you just have to watch the specials. The $5 box with 2 sides, a biscuit, and three tenders is a great deal, plus Ive never ordered here and had exactly 3 tenders in my box, usually they throw in extra chicken. Tonight we got a $4 box that had plenty of chicken, a biscuit, and a side. Where can you get a deal like that? Finally, come hungry. This place will load up your tray with food. Its great chicken, make sure you add the Cajun seasoning packet to it and make it even better.

I like Popeyes food and the food from this location was great as always, but they missed the mark in other areas. I was really excited when I heard one was being opened nearby but didnt get to visit until about the end of June. When I got there the line for the drive-through was really long so I figured I would go inside and it would be faster. When I got in there was almost no line so I placed my order fairly fast. As orders start coming out I realize that Im about 10 orders back which would have been fine, except they couldnt seem to get orders out in any kind of timely fashion. As they got closer to my number I listened closer only to find them start calling later numbers. And these werent small orders that were being called, they were huge so I started wondering what was going on with my order of 3 spicy chicken strips as it had already been about a 30 minute wait. They did work quickly to fill my order when I mention it, but I wasnt the only one having the problem, many other people were complaining about the same thing. I likely wont be returning any time soon, and when I do I hope they have those issues worked out.

Having lived in New Orleans, and experiencing the progenitor of these Utah locations, I must say that the food is nowhere near as good, and service is seriously lacking. Unfortunately this store simply has poor customer service as well. This location has Instated the ridiculous policy of charging for any additional sauces, something that only this location does. The ft. union and st George stores dont, and I find that is indicative of how the stores are run, even as franchises, and relates to the caliber of service to be expected. Service here was incredibly slow, and in a 30 minute lunch break, it took 15 minutes from order to getting my food in the drive through - hardly fast food. The long waits, the tight fisted behavior with sauces, and the poor service really make you feel like a burden, all while still being left unsatisfied, or barely placated. Zaxbys is just around the corner, my advice would be to go there instead. They have comparable prices, massively better service, and guess what - you can ask for all the sauce you want.

Our family was in Lehi at Thanksgiving Point and thought we would try Popeyes as we have heard good things about them. We will NEVER go back! They told us we could get half strips and have chicken in our order, so that is what we did. After waiting over half an hour for our order, they finally called our number. There was no way to check our order because the counter space is so small and the restaurant is tiny and they literally throw your order in bags and kick you out the door. All of the tables were full so we couldnt even quickly stop at a table to check the order. When we got home, we live in Orem, we discovered that we didnt get any strips. And of course, that is what I wanted! The kids hated the mashed potatoes because they were too spicy and I didnt get to eat anything. Im on a particular medication where I have to eat at certain times or I get really sick. When my husband called to complain, the manger just said to come back in - WE LIVE 20 MINUTES AWAY!!!!! WE WILL NEVER GO BACK!

Because the place opened up only a year ago, the place is still crowded. weekends are the worst. but through all the difficulties from more complicated cuisine, the store still holds up. taking the orders large and small. I once watched a woman walk a way will six SIX twenty piece meals saying "this is for a church camping activity." and after even all of that I still got my order out in a decent time. The mashed potatoes had a delicious gravy that can be a bit spicy for children, but they have many awesome sides that kids will love more, like the mac and cheese, and cajun fries which I found out are not spicy! What I really loved though was the friendliness. everyone from the upfront counter and the drive through helps when there is a problem even when they are busy. Even the sweet lobby folks keep a smile on your face after you sit down, when they are not busy of course! thanks popeyes!
