Ive been eating from here for years and am consistently satisfied. Being newly vegan I am also impressed with having a consistent portion of their menu to order. The green and red curries with mock duck are a standby. One seemingly minor but actually potentially dinner-disastrous complaint: they simply do not give enough rice with takeout. A pint or even quart (!!!) of curry comes with a mere 8 oz volume of rice. Sounds substantial but I can assure you, it is not enough to cover even a half pint of curry. This becomes even more problematic if two or more people intend to share the order. Its actually pretty ridiculous and almost funny if it werent so frustrating to open your prized bag of Thai food to find that you really cant eat it...Thai curry is basically like a soup- you really need rice to make a meal. So, be aware, and order extra rice. Or, dont, if you want a good laugh and a low carb diet. Anyway, besides that, this place is awesome. Authentic as I can tell, big flavor, good service, good location, vegan friendly, great lunch specials. Highly recommended.

This place used to be our "go-to" spot because the food was good and affordable. Ive bragged about this place to my family. However, the last time I went and brought my family, we were treated poorly. The waitress gave me an attitude when I asked her what ice cream they had for dessert (rolled her eyes and took a deep sigh). As we got up to leave, weve noticed that they greeted and wished all customers a "good day" when they left, but we didnt even get an acknowledgment out the door. I said "thank you" a whole bunch of times to the waitress as I walked out and she never acknowledged me. Again, Ive come here plenty of times before and I have no complaints about the food or the service, as they are usually really friendly and we are all very low-key customers. But my last visit was so dissatisfying that I only do take-out from now on. Again, this does not reflect their food, as it is really good, but their poor customer service thats why they lost a star

Great service. Friendly greeting. We can pick where we wanted to sit. Food was great, very delicious. I read other reviews. I feel like people just being too picky for this restaurant. I came in evening with my gf. There was a family sitting before us complaining about food. The waitress and manager came out and offered to make new dish. They kindly refused. At the end, the rudely wrote "bad food and service" on top of the bill. meanwhile, they finished all the food. I asked waitress what happened. She said "customers asked why pad thai beef and pad thai chicken tasted different. She told the customers that it was because of the meat different which gave different aroma and taste. For me, i think those customers just being too aggressive for poor restaurant. The waitress and manager offered to make a new dish, theyre the one who refused and yet still wrote those words. People are just being too much.

Disappointed ! We ordered vegi duck take out but when got home it was a regular dish with tofu pieces. We are vegetarian - vegan so we asked them to make sure that theres no meat or chicken broth in our food as they dont specify in their veg menu. After our food was prepared she said that next time they will not be able to cook for us if they are busy because it took extra time to prepare our food, what kind of service is that ? They dont deserve to have high ratings. Their is nothing special about their customer service attitude or food. Will not go their next time.

I just called to place an order for pick up. I have never eaten here before. The woman that answered the phone said oh we dont do takeout tonight and then just hung up on me. Didnt even let me get another question in. Now i dont even know when or if they do takeout? Definitely could have at least given me some info so i could still be a possible customer. Invite me in? Tell me when they do takout? Something? Nope.....hung up. Poor customer relations.

WARNING MUST READ!!!!!!!I have to say everyone and anyone that said this place is good is lying worst food Ive ever had ordered dumplings and they smelled and tasted like urine the chicken satay very dissapointing never again will I ever eat here. WHAT A waist of money IF U WANT TRUE TAI GO TO OAKDALE WHICH IS 100 PERCENT BETTER EVEN WITH THEM HAVING COCKROACHES

This place was pretty decent. I had the Green Curry which I thought had great flavor. My friends all had the Pad Thai and said it was alright. Their salad was pretty good too, however I told the waitress Im allergic to nuts and somehow I still had a minor allergic reaction. I probably wont come again, but the food isnt terrible.

Got takeout here for three people. The food was very good. Will definitely get food from here again, maybe will try to eat in - inside the place looks pretty cozy. The only minor thing that wasnt very good were the cups the drinks were in. For takeout, the cups werent very spill-proof. But otherwise, everything was excellent.

Felt like chinese take out and not basic thai meal i was looking for. Pad Thai wasnt good. Fried calamari tasted like frozen Restaurant Depot and wasnt seasoned at all. Green curry used cheap ingredients pretty sure it was cheap frozen seafood. For $14 bucks it was worth $7. Rip off.

I dont know why there is bad reviews below but this place is the best Thai restaurant in Long Island. I have had Thai food around the country and phayathai is among the best in flavor and cost. This is our regular place to enjoy authentic Thai food and I highly recommend.

I have no idea why people have given this place such good reviews! The food is bad! I just had the lunch special and it was not Thai at all! Especially for the price this place sucks! Pad Thai noodles was ridiculously sweet and the cashew nut sauce was too salty!

The best Thai on Long Island - such a hidden gem. You can so tell this is the traditional style of cuisine! Great service, delicious authentic food and beautiful decor. Small place but nice and intimate for a dinner date - coming back over and over again.

The food is good. I at obsessed with the pad see ew and always get the Thai iced tea. I have to say some days its a hit or miss with the quality because sometimes the chicken can taste a little on the dry side but other than that very good!

this is a strip mall joint and, given its genre, it has excellent food. the green curry is so delicious that i miss it even now that i am living nyc. payathai is tasty, and the people are sweet.

Wonderful staff and consistently well prepared plates. Great value for every dollar and the peanut sauce is out of this wolrd amazing (and you can buy some to go!!!). You MUST eat here.
