I have been driving past this diner for years and took notice of the breakfast prices on the sign out front thinking that some day I was going to check them out. This past Sunday I was in the area for work with a couple hours of down time and knew this was my chance to check them out. It was nice to see a very clean dining area and pleasant staff who seated me wherever I wanted since they were empty a little after 7:00 on a Sunday morning. My only real problem with them was the name they had for one of their choices for a meal. The omelette I did order wasnt anything to write home about so because of that and knowing there are dozens of other places where I can eat without seeing the prementioned item on the menu I seriously doubt I will be back but you might like it here since it is pretty much your normal South Jersey diner, just nothing special.

Our waitress Jordan took over ten minutes to come over. Guess because the hostess took the drink order that is ok? And to get refills or the table cleaned we had to put the empty plates and cups at the edge. I wanted to add a salad to my order but she must have been too busy to come back over They should consider seating the waitstaff by ability and how busy the waitstaff is at that moment. It is obvious she could not handle her station. My burger was ordered medium rare. When it came out the ground meat was literally falling off raw and bloody on one side. our medium rare prime rib was medium well. The second one was 1/2 medium rare and half well done, depending on what side you ate. A manager never came over, with two bad meals i shouldnt have to ask, they should come apologize. Overall a poor experience from a once great establishment.

Had the Chicken pot pie- which would be more accurately described as "pasta w chicken-flavored sauce." No crust, no veggies, and only a few slivers of chicken- most of which were around bone or tendon bits, in a sparse flour-thickened sauce amid many pasta sheets. A friend had the sausage sandwich, which he describes as the "quintessential Vineland-Italian sandwich of old." It was ok- not much filling in the large white roll. Only half of a sausage link with a few peppers and onions. For the prices, you could do much better. No salad bar or other diner-type staples. With so many other excellent choices in the area, I cant see returning.

The Golden Palace is your quintessential Jersey diner. Featuring all the menu options you expect of your neighborhood diner, the food is good and always consistent, and the service seems to always the career diner waitress youve come to know and expect of a neighborhood diner. Even the owner seems to hold true to the Jersey diner tradition, hes a kind, ethnically vague man with a foreign accent, and always happy to see a return customer. The only reason the Palace gets 4 stars instead of 5, is because they dont serve waffles all day.

Me and my wife used to eat here all the time when we lived in Millville. We demand they leave the coffee pitcher because their coffee is SO GOOD. IMO, the best thing is their flounder. You get very large, crispy, well breaded pieces. I order them with corn and potatoes and it can easily fill me up as a dinner. Pancakes/Sausage/Bacon/Eggs are all great too. Whenever were in town to visit my folks, we stop by grab a couple coffees and refuel for the drive back.

Saturday evening, dinner time. It was pretty empty so service was lighting fast. I had a chicken pot pie, that comes with a choice of two sides, so its good value. The pie had no crust and was just a bit of chicken and a lot of flat pasta pieces and some sources, no potatoes or vegetables. You also get bread on the table which was good and fresh. The sides, mashed potatoes and rice with vegetables, were so so. An ok diner but judging by my dish, just ok.

We stopped in for the first time to have breakfast at this restaurant. I am a very picky eater and qualify cook myself. Our waitress Chrissy was very polite ,quick and attended to us very attentively. Excellent coffee compared to most restaurants and diners. Please be aware we feasted for breakfast, it was a very large breakfast with 3 main courses that we shared. The only disappointment was the pre sliced desserts that we had were dry.

I have been going here for years and love it. The food is very good and theres is always a lot of it. The owner is always nice and courteous. Anytime Ive had an issue (which is not often), the issue is resolved without a problem. I recommend this diner to everyone!
