WORST DINING EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD! My wife, another couple and i went here yesterday and this is how it went. 9:00 reservation. showed up at 850 and were immediately seated. took the server 10 minutes to come and take our drink order. which she took so long we already knew what appetizers we wanted too so we ordered them as well. took another 15 minutes after that to get our drinks. and only 3 of the 4 of them came out. took another 5 minutes to get the 4th drink. Our friends appetizer came out after about 15 minutes. Our appetizer didnt come out until 950...... wow 1 escargot. 30 minute ticket time. pittiful while waiting for this appetizer we order entrees. chicken, 2 prime ribs, and a rack of lamb. 15 minutes later when the first app came out were told that theyre out of the lamb and asked to order something else. so we ordered the veal oso bucco. then they come back and tell us theyre out of the veal. alright..... just the prime rib and a pork chop then..... when they finally deliver the escargot....after being asked about it... a manager brings it out. i ask him if its standard for them to have 30 minute ticket times. he says "it was only a 20 minute ticket." which is still unacceptable for a 6 minute appetizer. very rude manager, talks to you like youre garbage. thanks for that one bald guy. well 5 minutes after that app is delivered, if youre keeping track weve been here for an hour now and just finally received our app, the bald manager comes up again and tells us, "i think were out of everything you ordered.... but seriously were out of the prime rib too....." at this point im fed up with the whole place so i retract my order completely. so does my friend who is equally irritated with the whole situation. so we all opt to order another round of drinks pay our bill and just leave with our food in togo boxes, considering its now 1015 and at this point the place has been closed for 15 minutes. well..... everyone at the table except me got their drink. 2 bloody Marys a glass of wine on the table and my beer nowhere to be seen. we ask the server where the beer is and she says "oh i must not have heard you, ill bring it right out." well 5 minutes later we get our checks and that beer still never showed up. when asked about it again she didnt even say a word to anyone at the table. just shook it off like she could care less and still never brought me the beer i ordered. for all the inconvenience of the night you would think they would do something to try to make up for this worse than horrible dining experience. they didnt even comp off one drink. we had to pay full price for one the top 3 worst times weve ever had out on a Friday. so thats a total kick in the pants. I have to believe that the only thing keeping this place afloat are their dedicated regulars cause this place has fallen off in the way of food quality and service worse than any place Ive ever been at before. after the disrespect from the manager in handling this, and doing nothing to make sure the rest of our experience was top notch, my family and our friends that accompanied us will never return to this hole again. oh and also, just so its out there When the escagot came out the manager, our server, and another server stood right behind us arguing about who was going to wait on us for the remainder of our time there. Neither of them wanted us because at this point apparently "they arent going to tip". So yeah, a different server took over 1/2 way through the meal and she wasnt any better.

Okay okay okay. Had some co-workers not told me about this little gem, I would have continued passing it over based on the online reviews. Cmon yelpers, this place is a diamond in the rough! Yes, its in a gas station. No, its not a typical gas station. Its surprisingly trendy/fancy, clean as a whistle, the service is tip top, and if you sit in the front area, you can see the cooks making your goodies. They were interacting with the servers while we were there, and a little bit with the guests as well. Enough so that it was completely appropriate to walk up and thank them for the divine meal once completed. The actual restaurant is HUGE. Space for groups, intimate seating for just the two-o-you, and yet its kid friendly. Out back theres a large patio bar, outdoor covered (and uncovered) seating, and a yard for kids (yours and K-9s alike), to run and play. But yes, its in a gas station. And no, it doesnt matter one eensy weensy bit. Because... The food... OH THE FOOD! If you havent been here yet, your nose should be banished to the bog of eternal stench. Your tastebuds should be whimpering in shame. Sadness, pure sadness, because you havent shown them the true love they deserve. Ill be honest, the prices were a wee bit more than I anticipated, but the second you smell the food, it doesnt matter. People, seriously, listen to me. ITS WORTH IT. So what did we have, you ask? To start, our server recommended the What Nots (baked mushroom caps stuffed with cheese, and garlic yumminess). I went with the Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives, tried and true - the blackened stuffed chicken served over angel hair pasta. Hubby had the Pot Roast (Sunday Menu), and he loved it so much, he wouldnt let me sample it. The kids had buttered noodles... and oh lord... these buttered noodles are what my high cholesterol dreams are made of. Im not kidding here, these were so delicious, that I lied to my daughter the next day and told her they were all gone. Because they were about to be IN MY BELLY! This is easily one of the best meals Ive EVER EATEN IN MY LIFE. No joshin here. BEST. Five stars. My fave. Read my reviews, Ive never pulled the BEST card before. Guess that means, Ill be back. Bottom line, go. If you havent been in awhile, revisit Chef Point. If youve never been, I think youve already caught my drift. Get your pah toot off that couch, and head over. Luckily for me, I dont have lunch plans tomorrow, and this is a great location for a mid-day jaunt from the office. Until next time Chef Point... Ill be dreaming of you.

A ZERO STAR would better described my experience today. My daughter & her fiance, who was able to get a leave from the Air Force, took me to Chef Point to celebrate Morhers Day. They both ordered pasta & I ordered a medium steak. The food came out & I cut into the steak & it was well done (no pink). The server took it back & said someone will be come out to talk to me. A heavy, not in black uniform, I guess is a management staff since he never introduced himself nor apologize for my inconvenience. He said "well, Ill have to cook your steak rare in order for it to be like you wanted" ?????? What the hell does that mean? Is rare = medium? What happened to Medium Rare? Is there no such thing @ Chef Point or the Chef only know 2 level of cooking: Brown & Red? After patiently waiting while my children already finished their meals, my steak came out again so rare a good vet could have saved it. I sent it back and the server brought it back again and told me to check it, we put it back on the grill for a few minutes. It was still mooing. The heavy set man came back again, did not apologize, and arrogantly said "you need to help me understand what is wrong with this steak." I simply responded, " it was not what I ordered and if you cant cook a steak as ordered then you shouldnt offer it on the menu. My family is already done eating so forget it." Instead of apologizing or offering something else from the menu, offering me something to go since I didnt get to eat, he said "fine". That is how much they value their paying customers....So I left my mothers day dinner having not even gotten a meal, on top of being treated like I was second class and stupid. I would never recommend this place to anyone, especially if you are not white.
