Poor service and low quality food, read on if you want details. I called in a quick order to pickup while driving by this area, I was told itd be ready in 10 minutes. I arrived and saw the person behind the counter trying to hand a child over the counter top to their friend, knocking over the entire tooth pick holder. They just picked up the tooth picks off the floor and put them back in the holder and put the holder back on the counter!!! Lesson 1, never use their tooth picks. So after that ended I asked for my food and the waitress turned arounded and looked at a big group of women all talking in a circle in the back. One of them shrugged at her and the waitress looked back at me and said its not ready yet. I sat down thinking itd be a few more minutes, but I didnt get my food for another 20 minutes! I finally pay for my food and walk out thinking at least I got my breakfast. Well when I finally got a chance to bite into it the thing tasted like something that would give you food poisoning. The tomatoes were old, eggs watery, bacon rock hard, and the sausage was the worst thing I have ever tasted. Just thinking about how the sausage tasted makes my stomach curdle now.

Went online looking for a restaurant in the area inwhich I was traveling. I read the reviews just like you are now. I read the one about the HAIR being found in the food and decided I would go there anyway to eat. Everything was going perfect, until I reached over to take a drink and noticed a SPIDER in my drink. I was about to order dessert... the waitress walk by and I told her she took the glass and walk away. I got up and went to the register... the cashier ask how was everything and I told her about the spiders, she than hurried the process of taking my payment. Never apologized... I feel bad for not tipping the waitress, but I put on the receipt IN BOLD LETTERS that she wouldnt be getting a tip because of the spider in my drink. All entrees are $8.95+ plus tax without a drink.... way overpriced... iceberg salad out of the bag... food was barely warm... and the food had very high sodium(salt). I feel really bad not given the young lady her tip. But I would feel even worse if myself or someone else had stomached that spider or been bitten. maybe it was isolated incident But, you decide....

Very disappointed, never had issues here, actually I typically recommend here BUT today I ordered the chicken fried chicken w mashed potatoes and macaroni. When they sever us I cut my chicken n seen a black hair next to chicken n gravy. I have blonde hair waitress had light brown...waved a different waitress b showed her she apologized n said we w/o make you a new one....5 min later she brought me my plate....plate had Lots of gravy BUT when I went to cut my chicken it was already cut in same SPOT BECAUSE IT WAS SAME PLATE.....so they took out hair and added more gravy!!!! . When I approached them...they took plate took off the plate off my ticket and walked away shamefully....NO APOLOGY NOTHING!!!! REALLY WELL ILL SPREAD THE WORD!

My husband took my son and I here for dinner here not too long ago. The food here is overpriced. They give you such small portions for their meals. It was our first time eating at this place and it was disappointing for the both of us. The food here was good but not exactly to die for good. I dont understand why their meals that would give you a choice of meat, two small sides, and a roll for all for 9.50. We left there not with full stomachs.

We were literally just asked to leave this place. Not welcome because we brought our own drinks. Not alcohol mind you, but drinks from a nearby QT. We were treated rudely by the waiter and the manager on staff and this business has lost a customer forever. Too bad because courtesy and hospitality are how a restaraunt wins and keeps customers and Dixie House was lacking in both today.

I eat here all the time me and my boyfriend and the food is ok but they will bring his plate and we could have odered the same item and he gets more than me on his plate i think the waitresses lets the cook know hes a big dude uh so vnfair bt an overall good experience i wish they had a better variety of food though kinda too expensive to not have it

Good home cooking..hot fresh food..great deals..reasonable prices..DESSERTS..DESSERTS!! GREAT DESSERTS!! Love the chicken fried chicken!! Monday and Wednesday $4.99 for CHICKEN FRIED CHICKEN OR CHICKEN FRIED STEAK served with two vegetable with a choice of dinner rolls or cornbread..excellent breakfast and fresh coffee..great customer service!!

I refuse to return to this restaurant. The service was horrible. I returned the food back to the kitchen twice. The food was never cooked properly, and waitress had a nasty disposition. I did not appreciate her exposing her huge breast to my husband. When she bent down to take the orders. The flirting she was attempting was exasperating.

Picked up 3 lunch meals. The smothered pork chops were very salty. They didnt give us the cornbread and forgot the side of spinach. My fried okra was soggy due to the watery heavily salted cayenne and salt gravy. For what I paid for this meal it was so so overpriced and not worth it. I will not be going to this location again. Gross

We showed up around 8:25 (they close at 9: 00, & Im pretty sure they stop seating at 8:30) but that didnt stop them from greeting/seating us with a sincere smile & everything & everyone there was wonderful!! Had the chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes & buttered corn & banana split pie... everything was awesome!

I love this place. Monday and Wednesday are the chicken fried steak or chicken fried chicken special. Two sides and bread. It is plenty of food for me . They need to watch the salt on their twice baked potatoes and maybe Brown gravy. Let people add their own salt if needed. Very friendly and speedy service.

Went in around lunch time and ordered the daily special of meatloaf. Even though it was busy we had our food within 5 minutes. The meatloaf was delicious. The sides were a little bland. But the prices were awesome. Will be going back again to try some of their pie and maybe their chicken fried steak.

Cost almost $20 for two people to eat breakfast here, which I think is a little pricy... Omlettes were ok (have had better). Biscuits were messy, too moist (like cake) and crumbled too easily. Waitress was nice though. Probably wouldnt eat here again, definitely will stick to IHOP for breakfast.

Food was good....Mac and cheese is questionable. Got shorted 10.00 and was disrespected when I went back to get my full change by some old lady that was angry about life! She was on the phone while we were having dinner arguing with someone about work. Very unprofessional.

Service is always amazing!! Will come back again and again. Love the food and even with a low price the food is well above standard taste. Great place for a date or for the whole family to enjoy. Would definitely recommend this place to any and everyone.
