Our first visit to this location was for breakfast, entry had carpentry work being done so staff seated us five feet from construction (we were the second couple in the entire place and this is where we were seated), once the sawing & hammering began we requested to be re-seated in another dining area. Our server was pleasant and knew the menu but food was served cold and needed to be re-heated. Even though we saw what appeared to be a manager roaming around, no one stopped by to apologize for the extreme constant noise or inconvenience (poor job at managing an up and coming place). Our second visit last Saturday proved disastrous, server couldnt answer questions about the menu, argued with us about menu options (clearly the biscuits & gravy was offered at two size portions as well as two charges 10/7, but we were told "that as far as she was told, it was just one size and she said the menu didnt offer two prices" we requested she bring us the menu so we could look again) then, said biscuits were served cold to two guests at our table. I had coffee with my meal and was charged $3 and when I requested a cup to go and received our bill, I had been charged for my to-go cup. When I told her I had been charged for an additional coffee, I was informed they were instructed to charge customers for to-go drinks. Breakfast for two at $30 here and lack of concern from management, NOT going to dine here again!

Disclaimer: Were repeat customers of the Inwood location and have loved it every time we went. However, for once, we were closer to this location on a Saturday morning and thus decided to go there instead, as wed never been. The Positive: The line was much shorter than what were used to at the inwood location, for a saturday at 11:20 am. The food was as good as always. The building and layout are probably nicer than the inwood location, thanks to all the outside patio & roof seating. The Negative: Someone had spilled a large amount of Coke on the table that we decided to sit at. Even though the table had been empty for a while, it hadnt been cleaned at all, and when we pointed it out to our waiter, he did a very poor job at cleaning it, with a wet rag. In addition to that, we ordered 2 cups of coffee, which, when they came, were absolutely disgusting. My cup had dark fingerprints on the inside of it, and coffee stains on the outside. When we spoke to the waiter to get new cups, he only brought one, not sure why. All in all, the waiter we had also wasnt the most friendly or helpful. I am very likely to go back there, because the food is great. but I certainly hope to get better service and clean cups.

I know they just opened but I had the chili and it was room temp if not cold. My friend had the other soup and there was steam coming off of it and I had cold turkey chili. The only reason I didnt send it back to be heated was that I really didnt like the taste of it anyway. I only had the chili and salad but was not impressed for my first time at this restaurant. One huge turn off is that you cant tell who works there as an employee. We walked in there was a lady standing there in plain clothes no name tag. She seemed almost bashful. Well we found out that was the hostess. Later, another plain clothed lady came and took a drink off our table. We were like... why did that woman take my coke! Well I guess she worked there because she brought me another coke. Its just weird. You cant tell who the staff are. The waiters seem to be dressed in black with aprons so you can find them but no name tags. We got in with practically no wait at 11:30 but when we left there was a long line. My first impression is not impressed. I may go back for dessert some time in the future.

If I could give a zero I would. my friend and I went here for brunch on a Sunday and was taken to a very small clustered table. The water was disgusting for starters, it tasted worse than tap water. I asked if we could move because my friend was getting claustrophobic so we were moved to another table. For over 15 minutes no one came to us to take our order or see if we wanted anything. We were sitting with our menus closed. Meanwhile in the same section, two tables were sat and orders were taken before anyone encountered us. Finally someone came to take our order. we got our food but we still had no silverware. We demanded the checks and Togo boxes as soon as our food arrived. She brought the boxes, still no silverware. The check she brought was combined and it took them longer to separate. the entire bottom layer of my grits were uncooked, they were not good at all. I love breadwinners and Ive never had such rude or sloppy service at any other locations. I really hope this place can get it together.

Its slipping... Hate to say that too, as Ive been coming to Breadwinners over 10yrs. Ordered something simple, biscuits and gravy. Its was dry and not very warm. We endured a long wait so I didnt send it back and with a toddler, we didnt have time to wait for a re-do. It tasted alright, but it wasnt fresh, and if I cant get fresh hot biscuits at a bakery, then Ill stay home next time. Our waitress Sam, was our saving grace. She was attentive and understanding. She got the biscuits taken off the price, which was not asked for, but appreciated. For this reason well return for another time. Until then, I suggest the kitchen pick it up and qc the food before sending. I know when my food has been re heated and left in the window to die. Hope thats not too harsh, but if you came to my house, I wouldnt have served you old, crusty biscuits with slightly warmy gravy. Oh, and eggs over medium dont have runny whites, at least shouldnt, in case whomever attempted to cooked them was confused about that.

Wanted to love it. Cute place. Nice menu. Have had lunch there before and it was OK, but never had desserts. Stopped in today for cakes to celebrate a family achievement. The pink strawberry cake they had last time I was there wasnt available, I asked when they have it and they told me "we never know what we are going to have, its kinda whatever they feel like baking." Not good. Got a piece of the "other" strawberry cake, it was very average, tasted like boxed cake with artificial whipped topping. Husband had a chocolate cake and didnt finish it, said it was OK but not great. I also got carrot cake - photo attached. It is less than two inches thick and cost me six bucks. I paid over $19 for three pieces of cake, two of them not great and one of them taste is unknown but I know it aint worth six bucks. I doubt I will ever return, I can get consistent desserts at Devivo Brothers in Keller for less money and better taste. Disappointing.
