Got stared at like we were aliens. Was served by GRUMPY GRANDMA. First time here and she didnt seem like she liked her job. I asked her if the potato salad was mashed or chunky. She looked at me and snapped mashed ! I asked about the mixed vegetables...the green beans short or long. She snapped. I dont know..I dont look at it ! If you are a waitress. You should have better customer service ! You should know whats on the menu, what it looks like. If you dont like it. Dont YELL, "I dont eat it twice ! " Instead you should say, I personally, dont eat gravy but my customers like the brown gravy. When she brought the ketchup. She slammed it down on the table and said, thats yours not hers because, she has the fries ! Im surprised , she didnt throw it across the restaurant. She asked, what kind of bread do you want ? Rolls, cornbread or mixed ? Then looked at my mom and said, You dont get any ." I could go on. The choc.cream pie, lemon cake, mac n cheese, rolls..freakin AWESOME !!! Only saw white people so maybe, Manny was right.

Avoid at all costs! Tried for the first time and I swear I could have made a better sandwich at home myself. Poor quality food!. I ordered a BLT and asked if I could sub the chips for side salad and the waitress aggressively said "yeah well, its gonna be a dollar and a quarter extra." With this nasty attitude. GRUMPY WOMAN! So I said nevermind. More importantly my sandwich was made with leftover toast and bacon from their breakfast prep and had no warmth to it what so ever w/ With a smidge of mayo. My mother ordered a side salad ( the one that was going to cost me 1.25 more) served in a small ice cream bowl about 4 Oz of just lettuce with less than teaspoon of dressing maybe cost them 15 cents to make and is not even a serving for one. Seriously rabbit food! First and LAST time I will ever give them business!

Dont come here expecting a whole lot. It really is just a small little neighborhood diner with very....very limited menu. We were just looking for a nice little local diner to have good breakfast and saw this place had good reviews. Its not off a main street so you have to map it. The diner was filled with...local, elderly people having weekend breakfast. We definitely stood out like a sore thumb. The menu is two pages, 1 page for breakfast and the other side with lunch. Its very basic and the price reflects it. The service was good and food is just OK for me. Probably not a place that I would recommend for out of towners though. I had 2 eggs which comes with hash browns and toast...nothing special. My beau had the sausage omelet with grits and biscuit with gravy. Again, it was just OK.

OMG! Dont go here.. We went in for the first time and the waitress GRUMPY GRANDMA!!! She was terrible and she didnt want to help us at all. We ordered Chicken fried steak platter and it tasted GROSS! Trust me I am not a picky person I litterally eat everything!! But this place was gross. Honestly it looks as if they got frozen food and microwaved it! No lie. People just trying to save you some money and time. 0 stars out of 5.

This place is awesome. Period. Its small-town, home-cooked breakfast and lunch, and probably some of the nicest people youll meet in the H/E/B area. Pretty much everything on the menu is good, prices are reasonable, and they always have a "daily special" that ends up being a nice suggestion every time. Id say do it. Youll be hooked!

So I was a little embarrassed we went at 11:20 AM and on Saturdays they close at noon (sorry). But for the first time we visited the food was great! The breakfast special was a great price and truly more food than I could eat. They were so friendly and the atmosphere just makes you feel like youre at home. Will be going again!

the food was ok, my wife and I have had better.We also noticed that if you are not white you will get very poor service. We have been to this cafe twice thinking that it was an oversite. Well folks it wasn,t. I have told all my friends and family members not to go there. In my humble way tis place is run by racists.

Have been going here for years for breakfast Feels like home. Family owned restaurant, outrageously friendly service. Breakfast specials are great value. Dont expect egg white omelets or foo foo coffee...this is down home cooking. .
